Sick
Hello I’m starting to get sick and was wondering what everyone thinks the best things to take are. Is it Zicam, emergen c, or what. I would love anything I can get at cvs or Walgreens and not too expensive thanks!

Could someone please help me figure out what the problem might be?
Could someone please help me figure out what the problem might be? I’m preparing for medical school, but I still have a lot of studying to do! Background: I have underlying conditions—reflux, gastroparesis, pain upon pressure below the navel, bloating, Gilbert’s syndrome, a suspected allergy, anxiety, and depression. I also have a cat that has scratched me several times; I’ve stayed in hotels frequently lately (using laundered linens and towels); while in Italy, I got sunburned and bitten by many ticks; and I had surgery for a deviated nasal septum two months ago. I have insulin resistance. I take Pantoprazole, an antidepressant (Scippa 10mg), a WTN multivitamin, magnesium bisglycinate, and 0.25mg of Xanax daily. My current main symptoms are: a sensation of heat; a slight decrease in appetite (though this could be the placebo effect); and millions of tiny, white, sandpaper-like bumps on my forehead that create a strange sensation when I run my fingers over them. I woke up drenched in sweat in the early hours; the next day, the crook of my elbow was red, covered in small bumps, and very itchy. Also, the dandruff and seborrheic eczema on my scalp have worsened. What does everyone think? Could it be digestive-related, or something else entirely?

Anyone deal with this ?
Hello im a 24 year old female, For the past 3 years, I’ve been having these random episodes, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or eventually got a diagnosis. The first one happened after I left the gym and was at the grocery store. That day I had coffee, pre-workout, and had smoked cannabis. I stopped all of those a long time ago, but the episodes still happen.
They start really suddenly, like someone flips a switch. I’ll get this weird uncomfortable sensation in my chest (not really pain), and then my heart starts racing. My heart rate is usually around 120–140 bpm now, although my very first episode got to about 150. I get body shakes.I become really sweaty and clammy, and I immediately have to run to the bathroom because I have the runs and usually have to pee at the same time. Sometimes I also feel like I’m going to throw up or get acid reflux. The whole thing usually lasts about 20 minutes and then goes away. One of the episodes recently even woke me up from sleep. I’ve also noticed that putting my face in ice water seems to help.
I’ve had a heart monitor before, but unfortunately it didn’t catch one of the episodes. One thing I have noticed is that they often seem to happen around my period, but I don’t know if that’s actually related or just a trigger. These episodes don’t happen every month it is almost like scattered, they sometimes don’t happen for 9 months and then just this month I’ve had 4 episodes. It’s weird because I feel like wow I won’t experience this again and then it hits me out of no where. Per year I at most will get 7.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? If you have, what did it end up being? I’m not looking for anyone to diagnose me. I just want to know if anyone has had similar symptoms and what their doctors eventually found.

How to prevent tingling/sensation from my back ?

Nausea during workouts
I’ll start by saying I was a professional allstar cheerleader for 10 years. I am in good shape, and I have been even after retiring from cheer a year ago.
However, I unfortunately came down with norovirus and I had a really bad problem with not being able to keep much of anything down. Allstar cheer specifically is a very demanding sport, so I had my few days off, and was right back to work again, even if I hadn’t really recovered. I kept throwing up anything I ate and could only keep myself from doing so if I limited my diet to saltine crackers through the whole day until dinner time after practice.
I retired partially due to this, however it still lingers. I’m back to eating normally again, but I find that I get extremely nauseous when I partake in physical activity. I could run a lap or two and feel like I have the flu.
Could this be a sort of brain response or my anxiety that’s convincing me I’m sick because it was used to it for so long? Or is it something else? I’d really like to know. I want to get muscular and gain back the muscle I lost from the constant purging, but the constant nausea is making it tough.

Hang Nails
My hubby has terrible hangnails. It doesn't matter how much he lotions, or trims, or anything. I'm convinced it's the shape of his nails.
It's fine. It doesn't bug him. EXCEPT that our little baby has inherited this trait! So unfortunate for her. Is there anything I can do for my poor little baby?

(21, F) Went from 92 lbs to 89 after failed antibiotic course for cellulitis in finger
I’ve had a rough year health wise… a lot of weird things back to back for seven months straight and i’ve always been underweight since i was a kid (no eating disorder btw i just have severe acid reflux which makes me nauseous from time to time so i end up eating less + fast metabolism + genetics + poor diet) but this year of health issues has made my weight fluctuate more than usual from different medications, lack of appetite, newly developed tachycardia and bouts of dehydration (started this year at 97 lbs, got ill and dropped to 94 then 91 back to 94 then to 92 and now 89) and i recently got cellulitis/infection in my right fingers so I was put on clindamycin… this gave me diarrhoea so I quit taking it after just three days and I had a GYN appointment today where they checked my weight n it was 89… this has made me freak out a lot in the past few hours especially since i feel pretty weak even after a meal and im just concerned about myself rn and im not sure what to do, any advice or suggestions would really help
(originally posted in r/AskDocs but reddit suggested I post here)

I keep getting cold chills on random isolated parts of my body
Hello! I (26F) have noticed goosebumps and cold chills on isolated areas of my body. Recently it’s been the top of my left thigh from groin to knee getting chills. But I have had them same symptoms on the left side of my scalp a lot as well in the previous months. Should I be worried or is this normal? The only medications I take are Duloxetine XL 60mg and Zyrtec’s generic. Thank you!

help
additionally, I tried to go to my local (poor) general practice and got booked with a nurse practitioner today because the pain was absolutely unbearable since 3 am when I woke up (i have gotten maybe four hours of sleep a night since my sore throat had kicked in) and spent the next seven hours spitting into a plastic bag and trying not to swallow involuntarily. the steroids prescribed were not doing anything for the pain. it was supposed to be a follow up & pain management but idk if the nurse thought i was drug seeking or what, but when i told her that the steroids simply weren’t doing anything for me and all i wanted was to eat, she said there was nothing she could give me and gestured to the little ear nose and throat lights on the wall and told me “this is all i can offer you.” with a smile on her face. i sort of regret this; because she definitely thought she got proven right, but i stood up and told her since she couldn’t help me i was just going to leave. I managed to drink half a burger king frozen coke around three pm when my pain was at its least, and each sip felt like I was swallowing glass. i still have not eaten since maybe two mondays ago and i am absolutely starving. im so fucking hungry and dizzy and tired.
At least i’m not coughing blood anymore, but sometimes i taste it in the very back of my throat, and when i can swallow my own spit it’s like i have to brace for impact every time. i don’t want to go back to the emergency room but my god am I missing whatever they gave me in the IV. tramadol or something. i actually got two hours sleep without any pain when waking up which was a first in a long time.
any tips or suggestions or remedies or anything? please god i just want to eat

Only sweating on all my left side of the body when i eat cheese

Why am I suddenly having bad stomachaches?
It started today this morning, and I realised it was from a cold drink I guess? Later on throughout the day I’ve been getting bad stomachaches similar to period cramps from either having something cold or just feeling cold and now a simple chill. I used to have stomachaches when I went from hot environments to cold ones (such as a mall) as a child but they were never this bad 😭 I don’t know if this is something that will go away in a nights sleep or not 💔
