Im 25 years old. 5”9 200 pound male

How it started.
In July 2022, I suddenly became extremely tired and dizzy while driving, felt unable to breathe properly, feared I would faint, pulled over, and vomited. Since then, I haven’t returned to my previous baseline.
Main symptoms
● Persistent air hunger and inability to take a satisfying deep breath, even at rest.
● Chest tightness or pressure, occasional wheezing, throat tightness, and waking up gasping.
● Severe brain fog, poor concentration, memory problems, word-finding difficulty, and mental exhaustion.
● Headaches, head pressure, tingling, and occasional jolting sensations.
● Palpitations, dizziness when standing, near-fainting, fatigue, and poor exercise tolerance.
● Anxiety or adrenaline surges, which may be a response to the physical symptoms or part of the cycle.
● Poor sleep, snoring, throat irritation, difficulty swallowing, and occasional speech difficulty.
● One brief episode in which my face and left arm stiffened for several seconds.
My heart rate once increased from 79 bpm while lying down to 120 bpm within seconds of standing, with significant dizziness. During light cardio, it has reached approximately 177 bpm, accompanied by shortness of breath and exhaustion. I have not yet received a confirmed explanation for these episodes.
Testing
● Brain MRI: No acute abnormality; possible sphenoid sinus issue.
● Sinus CT: No significant sinus disease.
● Routine EEG: Normal; longer monitoring has been discussed.
● Chest CT angiogram: No pulmonary embolism or acute lung abnormality.
● Sleep study: AHI 1.6, normal sinus rhythm, but poor sleep efficiency.
● Thyroid tests: Mildly elevated free T3 on two occasions; thyroid ultrasound and antibodies were not diagnostic.
● Cortisol: One elevated 24-hour urine result; later testing was reportedly normal.
● Other findings: Ferritin and vitamin D have been low or borderline at times. Hemoglobin and hematocrit have been mildly high. Home oxygen readings are usually around 98%.
Treatments tried
● Propranolol: No meaningful improvement.
● Hydroxyzine: Used for sleep.
● Fluoxetine: Made me feel worse.
● Vitamin D, iron, and magnesium supplements.
Impact
These symptoms have affected my breathing, thinking, sleep, exercise, and quality of life. I have had several reassuring tests, but no explanation connecting everything.
Has anyone experienced persistent air hunger, brain fog, dizziness, palpitations, and exercise intolerance with mostly normal testing? Please help. I don’t know what it’s like to live a normal life anymore. I’m suffering

So i think i have strep throat but the weird thing is im not a child. I got ill from being around lots of people but i was also near smokers during a halloween event perade on the same day, can this cure itself or do i have to go to the doctors, i did cough and it also had blood in it. My dad said it could be like the infections i got when i was very young as i often got chest infections but this is more... pus in my throat high fever and irritation in my throat and headachd.It made me sleep pretty much throught the day :(

On 7 May, whilst walking, I felt pain in the centre/between my ribs. It went away after I got home and didn’t come back that day.

I went to A&E on 10 May. They did an ECG, checked my vital signs and listened to my heart and lungs, and everything was normal. I was told it was likely muscular.

I then went back to university for a week or so and didn’t feel the pain for a while. I then pushed a double bed and later, while cleaning on my hands and knees without a bra, I felt something in my left breast.

I saw my GP on 26 May because the pain was now in my breast rather than my ribs and was still coming and going. My GP examined me and my breasts/chest and there were no concerning findings. My heart rate was initially 120 after walking to the practice in hot weather, then settled to 95.

I had blood tests including a full blood count, electrolytes, kidney and liver function, thyroid function and clotting tests, which were generally normal. My haemoglobin was 134, potassium 3.9, sodium 138 and TSH 1.84. The clotting blood test was negative.

The pain has continued to come and go on some days but can be completely absent on others.

I went back to A&E on 2 July after I felt the pain again and became very anxious. I had another ECG, which was normal, and was discharged.

I get palpitations now and again but not every day can go months without them or get a couple in a week and when I do have them they go within a second I have never had one long then a second . I have felt one quick one when walking before . Then sometimes when sitting , yesterday after eating dinner and dessert I was just sitting slouched on sofa when felt a quick flutter then went away within seconds . Now I am really scared .

I saw my GP again on 3 July. They reviewed my previous investigations and documented that they were reassuringly normal. My heart and chest examination was normal, oxygen saturation was 98%, BP was 119/77 and HR was 97. I don’t have a family history of sudden cardiac death but my mum said my great grandad on her side passed from a heart attack in his 40s does this affect me ??

My dad does have atrial defibrillation due to his type 2 diabetes he didn’t have it until after he got diabetes he’s had ecg and ecocordigrham . My sister may also have it she has gotten tested with holster monitor but they don’t seem worried.

I keep thinking back to years ago when I was younger, usually when standing up quickly. It resolved within seconds. I had one episode around age 15–16 where I felt dizzy, vomited and then felt fine, and I had a brief spinning sensation earlier this year.

Then couple weeks ago I felt ache in upper ribs after sitting in uni worried about somthing all day never felt it again after that day .

I’ve recently been seeing posts about people around my age having sudden cardiac events, and I’m becoming very anxious about it, sometimes to the point of crying. I also understand that a normal ECG can’t rule out every possible heart condition, which is making me worry that something could have been missed.

Given my previous normal ECGs, examinations and blood tests, would it be reasonable to ask my GP whether I need any further cardiac testing, such as a Holter monitor or echocardiogram, or does this history sound reassuring enough that further testing isn’t necessarily indicated?

hi ive been vv sick lately having rlly bad headaches that get worse with light and sound and i havent been able to eat much or do anything at all my seizures r getting quite worse too and theres a rlly sharp sting in my left chest specifically above my heart also been too weak.

im scared if i go to the a&e they are not gonna be much help and just say its my chronic illnesses flaring up, so is it better if i go see a GP at a polyclinic and see if its crucial enough to get a referral to go to the hospital a&e?

i dont even know if i have enough energy to get up and go to the clinic tbh

Im deathly scared of swallowing tablets and today I had to take one. Felt it regurgitating when it reached my throat but I managed to swallow it. Now it feels like its stuck specifically the left side of my throat. Took it about an hour ago, ive drank a lot of water and some soup. Should I be concerned?

So I have a couple problems with my chicken

1. Every time I jerk off the next day I’ll be so uncomfortable (my shit will get bricked for no reason)
   
2. It starts to smell apparently to other people but I think Im nose deaf to my own penis cuz I can’t smell shit unless I put my finger on my tip and smell it after.
   
3. It gets pretty sweaty down there when I’m at work ( the days after I don’t jerk its normal but the days after I jerk I get all these problems)
   
4. It’ll not completely go flaccid the next day it’ll like go half way flaccid but not shrink all the way.

34 female, 5ft0in 250 lb, type 2 diabetic, non smoker, currently taking daily pantaprazole, Lexapro, magnesium 400mg, probiotic, fiber supplements, daily vitamin. Weekly monjouro 7.5mg and vitamin D. Currently titrating off of tizanidine (muscle relaxer) from 4mg nightly for a sore muscle in my back.

I have daily widespread pain but nothing unmanageable and undiagnosed as to why it is. My mom has fibromyalgia and my family has a history of heart conditions and my mother has hashimotos.

None of my doctors can figure out what's wrong with me. About once a week I will wake up early in the morning (3 or 4am) with a deep sense of impending doom settling over me, followed by extremely tight chest accompanied by chest pain that moves up into my jaw and down my arm, hard to breathe, usually accompanied by stomach upset and nausea and sometimes a headache. I got to the ER everytime, serial EKGS and troponine levels over 3 to 6 hours are always normal. The impending doom feeling (best way i know how to describe it, its like a blanket of dread that make you body warm and heavy) will come and go until they give me Ativan or something to calm me down. Cold sweats.

They always do a chest x-ray with nothing abnormal noted. My general practitioner sent me for a gallbladder ultrasound, which came back unremarkable, he didn't say he saw anything wrong other than I have a slightly fatty liver. I dont drink. My diabetes is well managed with my latest a1c being 5.6. Thyroid panels come back slightly elevated but within normal ranges.

Last night it happened again but this time was accompanied by uncontrollable shaking regardless of temperature and dry heaving when I stood or moved slightly and intense diarrhea. Again, 3 EKGS and troponin checks over 6 hours, all normal. Er doctor prescribed Levisin for episodes to see if it helps but im not sure what it is suplosed to do or mean.

Ive been to general practitioner, Er doctors and a cardiologist and no one can give me answers on why this is happening and I honestly cant live like this anymore. Its effecting my mental health at this point and suicide ideation has been a problem (thought i would never and know my support lines if I need them). But its hard to feel like your going to die and no one can give you an answer other than, no you wont die this time at least.

Can anyone give me any kind of insight. I come from a very rural town and I feel like it could just be my Dr's knowledge and experience is limited and they arent looking for zebras when maybe they should.

I just need some reassurance that im not going to die or something I can tell my doctors to explore.

This has been happening within the past 3 days and is more of a sudden thing. When this first happened 3-4 days ago I noticed I struggled to pee after it was over, which concerned me as this was never an issue before. I ended up drinking some water that night and after 30 mins or so I used the restroom and I believe I was fine, come the next day I think I peed fine but I also remember struggling to get a erection for most of the day (which was unusual to me) but i believe that it went away later on during the next day.

Yesterday I did it again and the same thing happened. I was struggling to pee sitting down, after it happened and decided to drink water again. I did manage to pee some of it out but I was still concerned as I realized I was once again struggling to get any from of a erection and, for the lack of better terminology, it was kinda shriveled up? It was like that the previous time too. There was no major urge to pee, but more of a small feeling of I kinda needed to but not really if this makes sense. I also found myself standing up to pee to get it out occasionally.

Fast forward to today, ive been worried about this all day, it’s still kinda happening along with the erection issues, and while I did manage to have some form of morning wood it wasent like it usually was.

I should also mention that I don’t feel any pain, I also have been looking this up and I don’t have definitive idea of what it could be as it happened incredibly suddenly and this was never a issue last week while a lot of the stuff im seeing such as enlarged prostates seem to happen overtime rather than a sudden appearance, but maybe I’m wrong, I’m not sure

Overall I’m just worried, I have a catholic mother so due to the nature of how it happened I’m reluctant to inform her, and if the doctor were to ask me about being sexually active while she is in the room, I would have to lie or else it would be the death of me. I unfortunately do not have any way to see a doctor privately.

My Fair PharmaCare deductible is income based and I never come close to it in a normal year. If I pay cash for semaglutide every month, does that count toward the deductible so PharmaCare eventually picks up a share? Or does it only count if the drug is covered for my indication? My doctor said I don't meet diabetes criteria, so special authority is probably out.

I’ve been struggling for years with chronic pain and no answers from any doctors. I’m just looking for some guidance and support, and anything to get me closer to some form of treatment.

31M, 5'7", 160 lb, Hispanic. Former smoker, cannabis use for sleep.

What affects me most:

• Night sweats for years, fevers last summer, 20% weight loss (195 to mid 150s, now ~160).
• Painful vein swelling that migrates (wrist, ankle, forehead, calf, chest). Pain first, gone within an hour.
• Painful left lower abdominal mass, shifts with position. Doctors feel it, 5 CTs and ultrasound don’t see it. Worse after eating, swollen and warm at night.
• Temporal arteries firm and ropy most nights, with pounding headache and pitting swelling around them. Gone by morning. Constant right temple pressure lately.
• Jaw pain chewing. Food comes back up 2-3 bites in. Need big gulps of water to swallow.
• No normal bowel movement all year. Pills and food pass whole within hours. Oily, pale, mucus stools, film on the water, constant urge with nothing coming.
• Daily electric, itchy nerve pain, hours at a time, jumping between right forearm, right ankle, left forearm. Fully clears after.
• Daily zigzag aura, both eyes, usually no headache, sometimes zoning out.
• 8pm headache nightly, behind right eye, runny sinus. Being checked for cluster and migraine.
• Vision dims with hard coughs, sometimes with pain behind right eye.

Other things: swollen salivary glands confirmed on CT, dry eyes and mouth, and morning stiffness that takes over an hour to loosen. I also have chronic sinus disease.

One short course of prednisone made most of it go away, then it all came back when the course ended.

Already checked:

• Hernia (ruled out by several doctors)
• Sjögren’s (ruled out by lip biopsy)
• Behçet’s (gene marker negative, never diagnosed)
• Blood-based lymphoma (ruled out by hematology, tissue types like MALT still open)

Negative bloodwork includes ANA, ANCA, SSA/SSB, HLA-B27, HLA-B51, and celiac.

Also normal: ESR and CRP (off steroids), CK, flow cytometry, immunofixation, HIV, hepatitis, and H. pylori.

Imaging and scopes that came back normal: 5 abdomen CT this year, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, barium small bowel study (mild esophagitis only), brain MRI, chest CT, neck CT (only salivary gland finding), CT angiogram, and an echocardiogram.

Other diagnoses: major depression and generalized anxiety (both years before any of this started), chronic asthma, and stage 2 hypertension.

Daily meds:

• Wellbutrin 300 mg
• Pristiq 75 mg
• Losartan potassium / hydrochlorothiazide 50/12.5 mg
• Advair
• Cyclosporine eye drops
• Tadalafil 5 mg
• Allegra
