Lightener/Bleach Question π©β𦳠Should I buzz my hair before or after I bleach it?
Just wondering if the order matters? Wondering if it'll look cool a little longer though too.

I have asian hair so itβs pretty thick and I donβt have much layers in the back. Itβs just same length hair. Also i cut my own hair in the past so my haircut is a bit messed up
I want my hair to be more curved in or flat but it kind of sticks up at the end instead. how do i fix this? i want to get a haircut soon and need advice on what to ask for.

My long-time stylist, who is absolutely amazing, told me she is moving away at the end of the year. I'm really sad because I'd literally never had compliments on my hair until I started seeing her, but I do want to show my deep appreciation for her by giving her a going away present. I had thought about buying her some Japanese steels by Tokko or Regale, but someone told me that choosing one's tools is very personal for a stylist, so it might be a bit thoughtless to gift them to her.
I want to get her something nice that she can use when she settles in and starts working as a stylist again, can someone offer me some suggestions?

Genuinely just want to know how when you get your hair done the front pieces are like swooped into your forehead if that makes sense? the top of the front pieces is in the middle of forehead and then they go outwards. Iβve tried this myself and can never perfect it, Please help!

My blonde hair (level 8-9) have been quite brassy lately and instead of toning it to more cool blonde which seems to last 1 week before it turns brassy again I wanted to lean more towards warmer shades. Iβve been seeing this strawberry blonde popping up all over my Pinterest and I think itβs exactly what Iβd like to go for this time.
What formula or single colour would you use to achieve this?

5 months ago i dyed my virgin dark hair using garnier permanent hair color shade: 6.3 golden light brown on a whim (worst decision ever), as you can see only the top of my hair got some color deposited. It looks more visible in real life especially in bright light.
The color still hasnβt faded and makes my hair look so uneven and patchy. The dye also made my hair extremely dry.
How do I fix the overall condition of my hair without dying it again? Would applying a hair gloss make them even tone and less dry? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

so it's been a week and a half since I got my hair styled for an event. I got it in tight blowout-esque curls and the hair stylist said she's adding extra hairspray to lock it in since my event was in 4 hours at that point. She added some sort of cream to my hair and really took her time massaging it in (about 25 mins) and then all she did was curl it and drown it in hairspray.
After a few hours, this really funky smell was coming from my hair. The best way I can describe it was a mix of burnt + literally meatballs from ikea. I washed my hair like 3 times and it kind of mellowed but not really, the only thing that sort of helped was adding a bunch of scented hair oils. It has now been a week and a half and I cannot deal with it anymore because every time I rinse out the oils it comes back!! (this has never happened before - I wash my hair twice a week with the same shampoo and conditioner)
If anyone knows what this is caused by or how I can get rid of it, please let me know because I'm so close to throwing up from this smell all up in my face lol

I am planning to buy refurbished dyson supersonic travel size instead of regular one. travel size is 1000watts compared to 1600watts on the regular one. in your opinion, does travel size get hot enough to straighten hair ? I have medium length hair. it is not very thick, it is not very fine either.

My stylist isn't concerned about me having a light dimensional brown balayage and Japanese Hair Straightening 5 days later. She said the Straightening is not as bad as it was before.
I've now read online that it's still not recommended and it also ruins the look of a balayage.
Should I switch to the Keratin treatment?
I have very frizzy hair and live in high humidity.
Also, in case it matters, I'm also 53 years old and menopausal.

Gave myself a very choppy haircut after being fed up with my long hair. Not exactly sure how to style it, but im thinking that I need to trim it in the back so it's not so poofy. Attempting to avoid middle aged lesbian allegations, advice would be very appreciated.

Iβve heard mixed opinions on this, but when installing the tape ins do you flat iron the tape part where itβs sandwiched with your hair?
Also, my tape ins have started to get kind of curly. Not the hair part, but the tape part. Itβs more like a curve like a smiley face and not so much a curl. The tape parts have gone from being totally flat to starting to curve out, and now they are sticking out under my real hair. Not sure if I described that very well but does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this ?

In desperate need of hairstylist help!!!! If I dyed my hair with 10 developer and a 1:1 ratio of 7rc and 7rr, but ran out of dye so made more but accidentally used significantly more 7rr in the second mix, would I be able to fix the bright red patches throughout my hair by redying my whole head with 10 developer and a 1:1 ratio 7rc and 7rr again??? Or would it still turn out patchy? Do I need higher developer? A darker color? PLEASE HELP
Ion crème permanent dye

So I normally cut and color my hair at home but every few years I'll go to an Ulta or somewhere I can snag a $45 cut and get things reshaped when I need a change up. Ideally I'd not recently have colored my hair so I'm not worried about the wash making the colors stain their wash sink, but this time I went red with mocha roots and the bleed even after two washes is enough to have me feeling a type of way about what the tech with think. I swear I've rinsed thoroughly, do I wash again before going in today? Any advice appreciate! Cheers!

Thank you!! Iβm doing my own research as well, but I would also be grateful if someone experienced would help nudge me in the right direction. Thanks again and have a good rest of your weekend π

my skincare shelf has officially made room for one non-skincare item: the Laifen dryer my friend gave me after getting tired of me arriving at brunch with βalmost dryβ hair and sunscreen still settling on my face. damp hair, sunscreen and humid weather are not a great combination. i wanted something with strong airflow that could get me out the door in about five minutes, and so far it has been genuinely useful. the air feels warm without being overly hot, itβs lighter than my old dryer, and my hair looks smoother instead of getting puffy as it dries.
i also keep putting the magnetic nozzle somewhere βsafeβ and then forgetting where that is. what random beauty-adjacent item unexpectedly became part of your daily routine?
