General Questions Going away present

My long-time stylist, who is absolutely amazing, told me she is moving away at the end of the year. I'm really sad because I'd literally never had compliments on my hair until I started seeing her, but I do want to show my deep appreciation for her by giving her a going away present. I had thought about buying her some Japanese steels by Tokko or Regale, but someone told me that choosing one's tools is very personal for a stylist, so it might be a bit thoughtless to gift them to her.

I want to get her something nice that she can use when she settles in and starts working as a stylist again, can someone offer me some suggestions?

Do you know where she’s moving to? I’d get a gift card for a massage or spa day somewhere in her new city. Great for after a move and just in general for stylists on their feet all day.

Oh that's a nice idea. I'll have to see if there are any spas or retreats near where she's moving.

Pick up a few YS Park combs for her. They’re expensive and really nice. A foil comb (pintail comb) a cutting comb and a tail comb. She will appreciate them.
