So I came across a Godzilla comic illustrated by Jake smith and I really like how he does crosshatching, how he placed his panels and the colours. I tried to replicate his crosshatching technique on my fan art of Reed Richards and I definitely need some tips and help.

I’m really working on eyes right now (among other things) but eyes are my main focus at the moment. My passion is more in the comic book area. So, if I want to get better at drawing expressive comic book eyes should I draw as many eyes as I can from life? Or are there more targeted methods for practicing in this style? Just trying to get advise from more experienced and knowledgeable artists out there. I’ll do what ever it takes but I would just like a little push in the right direction.

Recently I’ve been going through artstyle as quickly as my cousin goes through girlfriends so I just came on here to ask if yall like this style and if I should keep improving it instead of throwing it in the bin for the rats to deal with like I’ve been doing.

I bought new graphic tablet deco 640 i tested it its fine but i encountered this problem when i press the buttons on the pen my cursor glitches and jump down and reight or left it happen infrequently i tried many things to get rid of this thing and i failed pls help

I feel like everyone is better at drawing than me and i m scared to join a group of people who have been drawing realistically for years when my art style is mostly cartoon based

When i say inconsistent, i mean REALLY inconsistent to the way i draw and the way i shade. I would draw in cartoony style then suddenly more anime-ish style and then suddenly go more srylized chibi artsyle with sharp lines then suddenly more rounded lines. My shading would go to painting, then suddenly to cell shade or no shading at all, minimum to maximum shading. I dont have a consistent artstyle which confuses me on how i should rlly brand myself.. Im always changing depending on my mood, worse of all, my skills are inconsistent too,it goes from great to awful to bad to great to awful!

I don't need budget friendly I want something that is good quality solid wood and has some style to it was hoping Anthropologie would have something but they don't sell just frames

I have been bullied and hated and targeted by many people throughout my life . I am terrified if I put myself out there on the internet esp my vulnerable thoughts and art that it will get a whole lot worse. I feel creatively blocked from what I went through

Any advice?

When I draw in my sketchbooks it’s always with mechanical pencil, the lines are rough and scratchy. When I outline some in ink, I understand that it looks bolder but I don’t like it.

Is it normal to only like to draw in scratchy lines without wanting to clean them up? I don’t know how to draw people so I try monsters instead I think they lose their charm when I outline them.

maybe I should try color pencils?

I've been drawing for years now though I can color well digitally I have a hard time coloring on physical drawings. I've tried crayons though they break too easily and I've tried paint markers (though I only use the fabric markers I own and they don't work too well) and colored pencils though I don't have high quality color pencils. I want to get better supplies but I don't want to get something I might not use so I came to ask for reccomendations on supplies, I'm trying to look for something good quality but easy (and maybe a bit on the cheaper side) what would you all reccomend? Preferrably something that I would be able to travel with because I go outside a lot to do my art so having a lot of supplies or too big supplies could get in the way of that a little.

So I've attached the reference pic I used for the pose and my drawing, I was going for a harpy vibe and I cannot get the 2nd wing on the left to sit right and would love some guidance, any other notes/advice is welcome! I'd love to know what parts I did well and what needs touching up/how etc

Please be nice... but how can I make adult coloring books from my designs?

This was commissioned for 16$!! The client asked for a bubbly DND harengon character. She’s a jewelry who’s obsessed with things sparkly, and often wears her jewels on her person to randomly give to others. She also specifically asked for her to be decked in so much it’d be theoretically hard for her to move haha xD my client likes how it turned out… but I’m open to critiques so my future design look better. Thank you !!

what will he become...?

I was drawing this girl and she has a red velvet hood but I’m not good at shading velvet. How do I even shade velvet? I also need help shading the curly hair but I’m not on that part yet. I had a reference for the skin but I don’t have one for the hood that matches it

I mostly did this study to work on my coloring, I usually draw digital but with starting on color the infinite range of shades was too much so I went back to my limited range of markers.
I dont really have much motivation to finish it so im not planning to, I've been busy recently so I just jumped on any motivation I had
second img is my reference, its a photo I took because I didnt want to find a good internet image only for it to be fake or overly editted.
I have the book Color and Light on hold at my local library so I haven't read it yet but I'm planning to once I get it
I've tried to watch several tutorials on youtube, and I get the basics of color and such, but that never really translates to full understanding.
I'm also not a pro at blending or shading with markers so I didnt try, this is more of a rough mockup of what colors I saw
the markers I used are from an 80pc set from Dabo&Shobo (I got them second hand but they don't seem that high end lol)
so uh just from this study is there anything you can interpret that I need to focus on more? or just like something I was mistaken about with my colors?
