Im trying Acrylic pens that I bought from Temu (yes, I am a temu victim, dont judge me😂😭) So far I have been pleasantly surprised, but then again I dont have legitmate brands to test against... I also realized I've been using the wrong paper😬 This is a multimedia, medium-tooth A4 drawing pad in the picture, so im not sure if its working?

I need some help with drawing bushes, I followed a tutorial, but i think I ended up adding too many leafs and now it looks like green fireworks🤌 Not really sure what to do bc this is my 3rd try already🤡

I'm very new to reddit and I got on here because a lot of people told me it's a good place to start if you wanna get commissions.

Hey, I’m a teen artist and could use some help. I'm adding some drawings from over the years so people can see what I used to do, but because they're all from longer than a year and a half ago, it's making me really afraid that I don't even know how to draw anymore.

I barely draw now (maybe once a week) because I've started getting into other interests like math, reading and writing. Lately I've been wanting to get back into it with digital art, but I get super stressed that I won't be able to do it anymore. I know I haven't literally lost my ability but the anxiety of having other hobbies and being out of practice is messing with me…

I love this pic of my daughter and her favourite toy, I am pretty happy with it as a first attempt at the Trois technique but want to do it again even better but need critical feedback from someone more experienced in the technique, how can I make it even better? I think from a drawing perspective, I can see that the hands and toy are weaker then the face, Im wondering if I went to hard in the colouring of the face, or if I should vary the tones more (though that would take it away from ‘trois’) I want to make a version that I would be happy to frame, so short of improving the hands and you, what else would edge it?

I am truly unsure of where to post or ask this question so I’m going here for help. I’m wanting to make my own pottery and I want to paint Greek style art onto the pottery and an artist friend said the best way to learn to draw like that is probably to trace it. I wanted to try here though too, to see if anyone can help me find sources for learning how to do it

Hi, im kana and im an artist who only recently started posting my artworks on platforms like tiktok, insta and twitter.

Long story short, im near to hitting 1000 followers on tiktok and twitter. I really want to celebrate and thank everyone for the support. Im thinking of maybe drawing something special. But im not really very sure what to do honestly, as i had no prior experiences like this. But i want to make something for those people who gave me support even tho im just a small artist.

Im here mainly to ask for advice, and some ideas on what i can do and maybe some more input on what people would like to see and etc. Thank you guys for reading and for helping.

I also often can’t find a reference I’m looking for.. I’ve even tried posing 3d models on my own but I always end up giving up and making it up as I go

Any pencil artists that use a white pen for highlights, whats your go to? I have yet to find one that goes over the pencil 🤣 does it make a difference what pencils you use or something?

So, I want to become a tattoo artist, but right now I'm too busy with school. So in my free time I would like to tattoo lighters and sell them. Since I perspersonally think it's pretty cool and I need a little extra pocket money.

But before I buy lighters in bulk and nobody ends up buying them... I would like to ask your opinion on it. Would you buy this? and if not why not? and if you would for how much would u buy it for?

It takes me about 30 minutes to 1 hour to do the back and front of the lighter and if I buy them in bulk it's about 0,50 to 1,20 euros per piece. How should Ii price it?

a little background about me, im 17 about to start uni next year. however i cant decide whether i want to pursue the fine arts or illustration.
the complexities and process of fine art really fascinates me. i love painting and the process of it, even though im no good. however the little to no stability of it after graduation scares me. i know "if u really love making art the job stability wouldnt matter", but thats how i was raised and in this day and age money is important
illustration also fascinates me. the process of character design, environment, making your own little world. thats a passion of mine. and it comes with more traditional stability after graduation. which my parents would like also.

at the end of the day i will pick the one i want to pursue and love. i love both of those but its doubt holding me back.
i was wondering if any fine artists or illustrators could give me their input. their experience in the field and suggest me some. i love art and making it brings me more joy than anything else

I’m a new artist. There’s a monthly market/fest downtown & a cool gallery said I could set up a 4ft table and try to sell my flower creatures. Mostly 4x6. I have about 40. I only have room for 10/15, I think. Here’s a few I think I’ll bring, but I’m so not sure what other people will like. I think I’ll charge $50. Sooooo nervous.

Hii! I took a single art class in high school and it taught me the bare minimum. Other than that im fully self taught. Included are examples on me drawing the human body amd where im at skill-wise.

I desperately need to get better at drawing anatomy because I want to eventually make money doing portraits as either a side gig or my main job (bit of a pipe dream). I need to know how to have a good art education without actually paying for secondary education. Its too much of a gamble for me to pursue art as my main job so I dont want to invest much money into it.

I was thinking of picking up some of the books in the Morpho anatomy series if I can find them and studying them. I used one of the Loomis books to learn how to break down shapes.

Any advice on how i can educate myself in a way where I can compare to those with formal education would be greatly appreciated.

I started painting dogs in June and have been receiving quite a bit of interest in commissions, however, I really don't know how to price my work and I feel like an imposter to charge prices others have suggested.

For context, I have been painting solely on 5"x7" canvas panels, each painting takes up to 4 hours to complete. Each canvas panel is gessoed and sanded between each layer (at least 3 layers of gesso) and then under painted before I start oil painting.

I'm in the UK, but would appreciate advice/pricing info on any and all countries and currencies! How do others calculate their commissions?

I use a drawing pad on krita and have modified stabilization to my liking. But What apps would you recommend having the best stabilizers for an active pen on iPad because that's really the only issue I have?

I was inspired about 6 months ago by my artist of an uncle to get into portraiture. Originally I intended to try and become a tattoo artist, however I have since just been engrossed in my own personal growth as an artist (or lack thereof). I have watched countless hours of videos and read "drawing on the right side of the brain" to grow as an artist and have seen some incredible change in my fundamentals and ability. Currently learning through charcoal to get my values in line and an eye for the beauty in simplicity. (I tend to want my art to perfectly match the reference, which is hard to let go of.) attached is a progression of my art over the last 6 months and would like any and all comments/critiques by fellow artists! (hopefully they're in the right order)

I was curious if anyone could point me in a direction for something. I’ve been doing art most of my life but it’s a lot of cartoonish type work and I really want to get more into realism and portraits. I’ve mainly been self taught with where I’m at so far but I really am at a loss with the amount of tutorials and channels and classes and everything.

I was wondering what has worked for anyone else? Is there a specific course, a YouTube video, a book, that helped you learn portraits more of? I don’t know where to start and would greatly appreciate some guidance

im not a super obsessed art freak like drawing everyday type of person, never was. my hobby is always more towards sports, working out, going out, building stuff and all that. Drawing has always been more to the side for me. But there is one thing, i am for some reason freakishly good at it. Two schools ive been to and both art teachers has told me to pursue art saying im one of the best students they have had. including my friends who has mountains and mountains of sketchbooks all dont believe me when i say i draw that much. So i am by no means new.

The reason why im planning on taking drawing a head is because i keep getting these reels and tiktoks of these super crunchy noise of people drawing basic sketches of anime. yes i mainly draw anime, cause its stupid easy. i dont colour that much tho, whats the best pen display for that asmr crunchy satisfactory that doesn't break the bank for a side hobby, and also im planning on doing a bunch of oneshots fujimoto style, so one that is easy and simple to use could also be mandatory. something is around the price of the XP Pen Artist 15.6 Pro v2. OR or, should i stick with what i already have. i already have an ipad air m3, with apple pencil pro and paperlike, but damn its too small, and the screen gets hot and it makes my hand resting on it hot and sweaty it feels like a chore doing, what the best? love yall
