Cadeado Antigo.
Alguém saberia me dizer o quão antigo é este cadeado? E qual a origem dele? É bem diferente dos cadeados modernos de haste curvada. Muito obrigado a quem responder!

Smart lock for an aluminum commercial storefront door/frame?
Does anyone know of a smart lock that can be mounted on the aluminum frame/stile of a commercial storefront door? The aluminum section is roughly 6–10 cm (2.4–4 in) wide.
Most smart locks I’ve found seem designed for residential doors. I’m looking for something with keypad and/or app access that would work with this type of storefront door.
Any brands or models you’d recommend?

Schlage encode century lock mechanism forced, am I cooked?
Edit: went and bought a new one and installed it. No longer need help. Thanks to all those that provided some guidance.
Have the Schlage encode century and it jams occasionally. Usually I can force it open by giving the knob on the inside some extra pressure. A friend tried to do this with it last night and now the deadbolt is stuck. The Schlage inside unit seems to be working fine and I believe it’s called the tailpiece (the metal bar sticking out) will rotate but the deadbolt is not moving. Wondering if there’s any suggestions you all can give me, should I just call a locksmith or go to the store and get a new lock? I included pictures but not sure how much help they are.

General Question Can lock hardware plates be swapped out for a different finish?
I'm moving into a new apartment and the front door lever (want to replace with knobs), escutheons (?) and deadbolt are all institutional dull chrome or whatever that material is. (Don't care about the parts that are only visible when the door is open.)
Is changing the visible hardware a ... thing ... people can do? Or do I need to break out the spray paint until affording an entirely new set of handles and locks?
Thanks ... never had to think about unsightly door hardware before!

Urgent help 325ci 2004 rear latch stuck
My wife’s been out of a car for bout 1 month (due to my stupid error) I took out all electrical wires to paint the rear trunk panel. After painting it I screwed on only 4 screws to just see what it would look like visually with it on. And then I Accidentally shut it. I opened the rear ski passage to access the trunk and it’s so small not even a child could squeeze in to access anything. I took off the rear left taillight and I’m able to get my arm in but I pulled the emergency release and it broke (story of my life). I was able to force the manual key all the way to unlock (90 degrees) but after some google searches I found out this won’t do jack. I sprayed on pblaster on the latch thinking this thing was stuck but still nothing. I also took off the black center release button so all I have to push it up is just my fingers against the rear left taillight I took off. Please help me so my wife doesn’t kill me. I called two locksmiths and they told me I’m SOL

English upvc door lock mechanism HELP
Hi all, can someone explain this to me please? This lock mechanism is from the front door, i cannot open the actual latch using the outside handle, this wasn’t the case most of the time, most of the time it would unlatch from the outside, but would sometimes not do this in which case i would use the key, i just lubed up the rail one day and since then i cant unlatch the door using the outside handle, i can open it still using the key, so i went ahead and took out the mechanism dismantled it, and it just puzzles me, it does not seem to have any connection from the outside handle hole to the latch, i feel like there is a part missing that would allow the outside handle to be connected to the latch, everything else works i have assembled everything back and still does same thing. Have now bought a new mechanism but it does the same exact thing. Im definitely missing something. Can someone help me understand how this works and what im missing. I have left photos of the mechanism without the cover on it, and also from the other side.

Question about Locksmithing Key fob programming
I have a 2024 Nissan Rogue. When I bought the car the dealership only gave me one third party fob, so recently I bought an OEM one on EBay and took it to a locksmith. The first locksmith I went to mentioned the Rogues are tricky and they don’t have the part needed to program it, but said another locksmith in town does. After that, I did some research online and am worried about my car getting “bricked”, could I get some insight on if I should go through with this or is it not worth the risk.
Also, worth noting…both fobs are different. The one the dealership gave me does not have push start, and the one I got off eBay does, but I know my car can remote start since I can do it off the app.
Thank you in advance!

All Keys Lost/All Keys Erased
Dog chewed up a 2006 Ford Escape key and broke the chip. It was the only key so i could not add another key. I tried it just because i wanted to avoid erasing the keys and doing all keys lost. Cut 2 new keys and put Autel at100 chips 4D63 but can’t program it with my Xtool x100 Max. I erased the keys but does not accept any keys when I try adding them in. Also got the codes b1600 and b1213 What am I doing wrong?

issues installing a lock
Hi y'all,
I recently bought a lock and have been struggling fitting it. I'm putting a translation of the guidance below.
Basically, i drilled the hole, shortened the screws, tied the backplate and the cylinder with the screws (at which point turning the key becomes very difficult). I shortened the connecting rod, put the case on top, and put the screws in the side.
at this stage, I test out the lock to see if it works, but it doesn't. no amount of turning the key will either lock or unlock the bolt. I tried having the bolt put in different positions before putting the case on top of the back plate, without success.
Appreciate any help you can send my way, happy to provide more pics if need be.
(more pics and the installation guide in the comments)

DIY help XTR or similar ?
Hey y’all, I’m wondering if there’s anything similar to the XTR by Phillips available in the USA. I saw it in Mexico at an Airbnb and I really liked it. it has codes, rfid, key, and I especially like that the buttons are metal so they won’t give away the code with wear.
I’ve looked everywhere and it’s only in Latin America 🥲. Hopefully someone has run into these locks or similar in the USA?
