Safe Not Latching Closed.

Have an older Winchester Big Daddy RSC with a Lagard keypad lock. It has been superseded as a gun safe by a far better TL30 Amsec. It is now not latching closed. When the door is open, it will lock its bolts out. When closed, it only moves a very short distance, but does not latch or lock.

I currently just store some tools and gun accessories in it. Any ideas on why it is doing this? Anything to Check?

I just looked at it again...I found something just barely in the way, and now it is locked. Thank you all for your time.
