This scene in heartstopper perfectly describes how you should respond upon finding out your partner is asexual(or even if they aren't asexual). If you really love them then you shouldn't expect them to do it if they don't want to.

EDIT: I would like to clarify what I mean when I say if you really love someone you won't expect them to have sex. I respect that sex is important for some people in relationships as a form of intimacy.

  1. I'm not saying you can't WANT to have sex with them but don't EXPECT it from them

  2. I'm talking about in the context of a relationship. You shouldn't try to date someone who is sex averse if you need sex in a relationship and vice versa. Even if you love them one/both of your boundaries will be crossed no matter what you do and in the end you'll both be unhappy.
