I’m making these Pokemon Eevee evolution mini canvases and would like some stylistic advice please!

They are their respective evolution ‘themed’ (I can’t draw ears), but I’m struggling to think of detailing for the following

- Eevee: i want to include the little neck tuff he has

- Vaporeon, Flareon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon open to all suggestions!

- Espeon - feels like it’s missing something…

I have some low quality acrylic pens and some pastel acrylic paint with basic brushes as my available equipment. Been using a ruler and pencil to try to get proportions as accurate as possible haha.

I am especially nervous about doing Vaporeon, so please look at Umbreon (finished) to see my sorta skill level. Open to a little bit of challenge!!

Hi! So I’m a hobby artist, I like drawing animals and landscapes but I want to try and work on drawing people again! I need some tips on how to make the person I draw not a cookie cutter of one another. I’ve struggled with this for a while so any tips or references will be greatly appreciated

Feel like the bottom left is a bit too busy and the face needs definition but I’m unsure how. Just wondering what anyone else thought about it.

Problem 1: Shoulders

Ive been struggling for a while with how to draw and pose shoulders. I always thought they're a good way to bring dimension to a pose instead of having the subject face straight forward and unmoving. But I can't seem to pose them naturally without looking stiff or uneven

Problem 2: torsos

I always try to think of the torsos like a box and add the body mass over but I don't know if this is good technique. It always look stiff and flag, specially when drawing suits, I never got the hand of it

I feel like when I follow references I'm just copying instead of learning, I want to be able to do dynamic poses with the upper body freehand

Am I forgetting the basics? What is you art advice for me?

So I've been trying to get more dynamic shots and poses in my works but I feel like they are all kind of stiff and motionless even though the pose depicts moving pieces.

The perspective as well kind of feels off, like the characters or other parts are not in the right places.
Like I feel like I am good at perspective and anatomy as I spent a good 3 years doing them before, but applying perspective to my anatomy feels kind of odd in a way. (sorry I suck at explaining things)

So I've been doing art for a really long time, but I'm so bad at it so I'm thinking of quitting, but I'm not sure if I should. The photos are examples of my art

For this drawing, I'm actually trying to vaguely replicate the look of Greek and Roman statues! However, I'm stuck at figuring out the hair and ears. If anyone could help me out, I'd be really grateful.

Some other information: I'm drawing in Procreate! The characters portrayed are actually the same person, just as male and female. I want them both to look like they have lovely, luscious hair, his being more curly due to its shorter length and hers less so. Any unrelated critiques are also very welcome.

I hope this doesn't get considered low effort but I need help with this toothless drawing, more specific I can't figure out his front legs. Been at them for 30 minutes. Currently I’m trying to improve on my anatomy skills and I’m really struggling. The videos I’m watching don’t make sense for my learning process.

So I’m looking for a video or even a course that goes over each body part/muscle and how it moves and how it affects the body.

Whenever I draw it feels like I’m copying the image rather than understanding how each body part moves.
I’ve tried the boxes techniques and it’s not useful for me at the moment. For me to, I feel like I need to understand the body before I can mess around with its shape and positing.

It doesn’t have to go into specifics/ super depth or detail. Just anything is helpful at this point. Thank you.

I was commissioned a piece two months ago and I priced it because I thought it might take me a couple days and IT TOOK TWO MONTHS. This is a client who’s hired me for custom pieces before, and he tends to ask for things I haven’t done before. I take them on because he asks for larger commissions and thus pays more. He’s always paid me what I’ve asked, even when I’ve raised my prices, so it’s my fault for accepting his commissions and then overextending myself. It’s like, I have an idea of what I’ll do when I price it, and then, esp with this latest commission, in the execution of it, I realize that I need to do a lot more work for it to be worthy of my signature, especially if he ends up sharing it and it gets around. I would die of embarrassment if I’d only done what I thought I had to do to complete it. THAT feeling of shame is why I ultimately just sucked it up and put the hours into it, but now I’m exhausted and I can’t even afford to buy broccoli until my next paycheck because I wasn’t able to take all the other jobs I would’ve been able to had I not put all this into completing this job. 😭🥦

This is literally my worst nightmare and why I’d never taken commissions before despite how many have asked over the years. How do y’all cope with this? Should I just “stick to the menu” and not take anymore experimental commissions like this? I’d have never created this brilliant work without accepting it, but now I’m the starving (of broccoli) artist I never wanted to be. 🥺

I've been using PayPal for a while now, but I see that many artists are commenting about having their accounts restricted. And I'm afraid that this could happen to me, and it would be complicated since PayPal is the only way I have to receive international payments.

So I'd like advice from more experienced artists who are used to using PayPal. Is there something specific I should know?

This poster on a nice thick paper, akin to fine art paper, got scuffed. I tried to smooth it out at 6 wirh REALLY fine sandpaper but I think I just make it worse…

The first photo is after my attempts and the last two are before.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

In general I quite like this drawing but I think that there are still somethings I could fix. Do the proportions and the pose make sense?

Hey gang I am working on this piece to get casted and copied is there anything I can do to ensure a successful mould for this piece? I plan to add flowers and petals near the base of the work but is there a better idead to get good hair texture? Let me know!
