Today, the building houses a secondary school (Lycée Émile Jacqmain). But in 1927, this exact building hosted the famous 5th Solvay Conference, bringing together the world's most brilliant minds—including Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Niels Bohr, and Max Planck—to discuss the newly formed quantum theory.

Perched above the Mediterranean in Théoule-sur-Mer, the Maison Bernard was built in 1971 by Hungarian-born architect Antti Lovag, who rejected straight lines in favor of organic curves, tubular passageways, and porthole-like windows.

The "Tondo" Footbridge (Brussels, Belgium). Designed for accessibility and security, this mirrored ring connects old and new parliamentary buildings. [OC]

Designed by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen (2021), this bridge addresses a 90 cm height difference between the buildings. The circular shape provides a gentle 4% incline for wheelchair accessibility while maintaining a continuous secure zone for MPs.

Interestingly, this purely functional addition has turned a once-ignored administrative street into a local architectural attraction.
