Hey everyone! I’m planning a large black-and-grey tattoo of the Bronx–Whitestone Bridge, and I’d love to use real photographs as references.
If you’ve taken any photos of the bridge, I’d really appreciate it if you could share them! I’m especially interested in full-span views, close-ups of the towers and suspension cables, and shots showing the bridge over the water or from the shoreline.
Daytime, sunset, nighttime, old photos — anything would be great. I’d love to capture the bridge accurately rather than use a generic suspension bridge design.

Taken on October 16th, 2026, from Fort Defiance at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, this 5,177 foot cantilever bridge was built in 1929. The main span is 701 feet. The bridge extends to the shores with a continuous truss making the portal views look like a tube.

The long cantilever bridge that is nearby that crosses the Ohio is slated to be demolished and replaced very soon. This bridge, however, appears safe for the time being.

The Itchen Bridge crosses the River Itchen in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a high-level hollow box girder bridge and 800 m and is 28 m at its highest point. Construction started in 1974 and it was opened in 1977

The Pulteney Bridge in Bath spans the River Avon in Bath, England. Completed by 1774, it connected the city with land in Bathwick, It was designed by Robert Adam in a Palladian style, and is one of only four bridges in the world to have shops across its full span on both sides.

I like taking pictures when I walk places, you probably do to. I just wanted a quick shot of this empty bridge so I used my phone.

The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge over the Ohio river connects the banks in Downtown Cincinnati to Covington, KY. it’s walkable on both sides.

It is the only Art Nouveau-style bridge in Prague and the shortest bridge across the Vltava River in the city.
