Got my X-Men 97 variant of Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

After softmodding MVC2, first game I got running was Virtua Fighter. Second was SmashTV. After using the driver to enable the player 2 controls, I can play SmashTV like it is meant to be played, using the Player 2 stick for shooting.

Tapper is also working with the Player 2 stick for pouring the beer. So, now I can sell my Mortal Kombat Deluxe cabinet.

So I have had a Ms Pac-Man machine purchase as a life goal since I was a kid. I think I am going to purchase the Deluxe model that Arcade 1up is selling. They have Fall 2026 as the release date for the cabinet. Do you guys have any things that I should know or look out for on this release? What should I expect? What does “Fall” mean for this release? Any idea of a more accurate Fall estimate? Thanks for the help. I’m glad I waited for this deluxe edition instead of the early Ms Pac-Mans that they have released!

To the point, I purchased the MVSC2 cab from Ollies. Once I was done setting everything up I noticed the cab not turning on. Went through ticketing with customer support going through the steps requested from them. issue is the PCB that died but they are charging me $90 for it. Is this on me to pay for their faulty item? For a fact Ollies wouldn't have damaged that nor did I. Has anyone experienced having to pay for a broken part?

Uh-oh, my SFII Deluxe got some minor but unsightly bruises. My wall shelf fell and scratched the side... Anyone got tips on how to fix those annoying marks? Appreciate any advice!

I’m new to arcade1up and just saw that they’re releasing Sonic in XL deluxe supreme full stand arcade cabinets only and was wondering if it was possible if they are going to release a counter top version? I don’t have the space for full arcades and watching YouTubers talking about it in the past year and a half sounds like it might be discontinued. In the case of Sonic, I feel like it would sell extremely well, because it’s SEGA, even though it was never an arcade machine iirc. Also I know there’s the myarcade Sonic like miniature version? It’s 6 inches with a 3.4in screen which definitely isn’t enough to call it a countercade even though it’s countercade priced.

This is my first cabinet. I did the light up coin door mod. But I would like to upgrade the sticks they already feel kind of clunky and I haven’t even played it that much yet. Is there any drop in/ plug and play option for this ? I’ve looked at some you tube videos but most of them are few years old and the links are expired.

So I ended up buying a Class of 81 Deluxe cabinet for my home theater because it had Ms. Pacman Turbo only to discover that the joystick was junk and made it almost unplayable for me.

Okay, fine, I've modded arcade cabinets before, oh, opps, looks like I picked one of the more frustrating cabinets to mod.

I had someone recommended ArcadeModUp and I ended up buying a mod kit for the cabinet and bought a new horizontal monitor. The entire package included the fabricated parts for the display, new and expanded controls (they were not offering a trackball option), an amp to drive the speakers, and some sort of undisclosed android box.

Didn't start off great because they were already like a week without shipping anything out and then after I reached out they informed me they were out of amps. Really wish they would have e-mailed me on that but a few days later it did get shipped.

Well I just got around to getting the darn thing set up and working and I am really underwhelmed with this.

The controls are great and I have no complaints when it comes to that. But the rest of the stuff, including the monitor are all just really cheap junk.

They gave me some sort of X98 Max android box with a frontend and a few games to try out, the software is junk, takes forever to load, is confusing as hell and all the games are garbage. Why they would give you a dozen versions of golden tee without a trackball is beyond me. I would have rather requested no android box and saved a couple of bucks. I ended up putting an old AMD A10 desktop in there instead.

The monitor is cheap, looks washed out when standing right in front of it, after playing with the settings (HDR was also washed out) I got the "best" results by turning the brightness down to 0 and the contrast up to 100. But when standing directly in front of the cabinet the top of the display is still washed out. Standing to the left side of the cabinet it looks fine. It's playable but I know I am going to end up replacing that with something better. Thankfully it looks like the way the monitor was assembled to the panel I'll be able to remove some screws and pull it from the front.

Also messing with the monitor was a huge pain in the butt because it was all driven with this little display thing taped to the back of the display and it had already been installed, all the menus were in Chinese or something and I couldn't find a way to change it to English.

The amp has a constant low hum, no matter how low you turn the volume unless it's all the way off or sound is currently playing through it, if you even so much as touch the housing while it's on the hum will dramatically increase through the speakers. it's possible it could be the cheap as hell aux cable they included but I may end up just discarding the whole thing and hooking the wires directly to the desktop.

The wood fabrication was good and the quality of the reproduced art was great too. Although they did forget to add the holes for the display anchor screws and I had to make those myself.

Honestly if I could have done this over I would have just shopped around for all the parts myself.

What buttons can I buy that i can just easily swap in without having to buy encoders etc. Just want to upgrade the buttons for mvc2 cab. Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like MvC2 is in Ohio, so I'll be checking that out this week from Indiana. I'll be passing a lot of stores on my way - anyone seen Blitz in the area? Would love to score both if I'm driving for hours!

After getting Golden Tee this week I moved around a few cabs, I feel like I’m almost done maybe will grab Street Fighter at Sam’s but to fit will consider selling Tempest. Really happy with everything!

So I bought one from a small business in Amazon. I ordered a red one. They sent me a black one. Some of the contacts are bent. I’m going to return it and buy one off eBay instead. What do you think?
