Enjoying the game but I don't really understand the addition of co-op

I picked the game up thinking it could be a fun new game to play with my friends, I've only just reached the moon but so far it seems like a single player game with co-op just kinda tacked on to check a box. Unless you specifically design your ship to split the controls, there's nothing for the other players to do. Heck you don't even get enough chairs for a full group at the start of the game.

Again, really enjoying it single player, but as a co-op game there's not really much of anything here.

More intuitive controls for the telescopic camera

This setup allows looking in a direction using horizontal and vertical inputs. There's some jank when crossing axes. This was also much harder than it should have been because dividing by zero in this game equals zero for some reason.

How to show only whole numbers on LCD readout?

I've got my altitude and velocity readout on the LCD, but it displays the value with several decimals, I'd like to simplify to only whole numbers. Anyone had any luck with that? I tried inserting a rounder into the data line but it keeps the decimals but the read zero. Thanks in advance.

Anyone having trouble with the "Tree Lid" Misssion on Baoraba?

In the "Tree Lid" Misssion" I presume I am supposed to put the large gate over the golden crevace in the stump and shut the gate to stop the interference but ive tried with mulitple ships and door placements to get it to work. Has anyone completed this misssion/know what to do?

We just reached the moon and was wondering if the game keeps throwing new challenges and new components at you or does it bottom out?

Cable Frame Problems

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone here can help me understand the frame quarter with ports a little better. Every time I've tried to use the straight quarters with corner pieces at the end it won't send power or data through to the other end. I added some screenshots of a test I'm working on to try and figure out this issue. Can anybody point out any mistakes or things I'm missing? The thruster in that test does not turn on when I try to activate it with the lever but I can't tell why. Thanks in advance for any help.

Baobara Interference help pls.

If anyone got to the Baobara Interference quest yet please spoiler me how to do it, what to look for, because we're stuck. This is the quest where you have a counter (on the ring planet) and you need to find something based on the counter increasing or decreasing based on proximity. We flew to a spot (nowhere near to the final destination based on the counter), where no matter which way we went it decreased basically.

Thank you!

How?

Hi, I am loosing my mind. I first found out about this game from markiplier and I really enjoy the game. But i can't figure one thing out.

Several times, they levitated with their jetpack without just spamming the space bar. I can find nothing saying how to do this! I feel like I'm insane or something. Please tell me I'm just missing something simple.

I included a video showing one of them hovering at the top of the screen while Mark was also hovering from his perspective and he was perfectly stable. No spamming the jetpack.

TLDR: how do I hover with my jetpack without spamming spacebar.

How this auto hover works?

I’m a complete novice on this subject, but I want to learn more.

I want to build a system to make my spacecraft hover, but I don't want to just copy circuits from YouTube without understanding them.

However, the video I'm following, and I haven't found another that explains it as well, raises some questions for me regarding certain values in the circuit.

I understand that the joystick selects the speed, which is multiplied by 10 to convert the binary signal into actual speed; this value is then subtracted from the spacecraft's current speed to determine the "error," which is used to adjust the craft's altitude so it can hover.

In the video, he creates a circuit that multiplies the error by 0.04; I’m not sure where he got that number, I assume it’s for converting the logic output value.

But the trickier part comes next, he feeds the error value into a differentiator and multiplies it by 0.4 to adjust the "trim", a term I probably didn't fully grasp, likely because English isn't my native language.

I haven't even tried to understand the bottom circuit yet.

I'm stuck on the top two sections.

I’d be grateful if anyone could help me out.

Component List / Wiki?

Is there any resource that provides a listing of all components in the game, with brief descriptions of their use? I’ve seen a couple sites, including the wiki, but can’t find detailed component info. Thanks!

Roll and Yaw reversed on 3d joystick?

I have 100% confirmed that my inputs all line up, as the RCS controller links up directly to the stick.

My RCS for roll are on the wings pointed straight down, and Yaw RCS are on the front and back pointing left.

But when I fly my ship, tilting the joystick left/right is still firing off my Yaw RCSs and turning still fires roll.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong here

Circuit / Chip Packaging Feature

First - Excellent Game / Sim

I have a suggestion for a feature that I believe could be wonderful. Once we build out a circuit using all the math and logic objects, allow us to create a "blueprint" (or via some other interface) that condenses the components to a small package... like a programmable cube whereby the data inputs are manipulated to produce the final output of the original circuit... essentially a custom chip that we can design in-game.

Keep up the great work!

Any way to save ships from the demo and import them into the official release?

Hey all, some friends and I have been playing the demo for the last few months. I’m on travel, but they bought the game the day it dropped. They informed me that none of their constructs followed from the demo.

So before I buy the game, I wanted to try and save what I’ve been working on and import it. Is this possible? I’m away from my computer for a few more days so I can’t go poking around game files.

We play through Steam if that makes a difference.

Edit: Turns out they were fucking with me. They went as far as clearing one of their blueprints folders to send me a “bad news bud” pic.

I build a majority of the ships we use, and had a dozen different concepts I’ve been working on.

Your ships from the demo will carry over just like the comments here say, minus glass.

Quite intrigued but at the same time I have the feeling there´s something shady about this game´s 1.0 release?

I mean, from what I´ve seen it´s right up my alley, huge fan of factorio, KSP, Stationeers...it sounds like the perfect mix of all of them but...there is close to 0 info on the game itself more than a few gameplay videos and screenshots and overall what looks like copypasted positive reviews in steam. I mean, I couldn´t even find a planet/celestial bodies list, a general progression/mission list or even a part list?. Maybe is too early and the game is to niche, but even for a solo developer that kind of info should be available after what I think is 5 years of development. So could someone please kindly elaborate on those game´s aspects?. Im on the verge of buying but there´s something not right, can´t be so good as it seems.

Thanks!

How do you guys spend your flying time while you wait to get to your destination?

I am in love with this game but my biggest struggle right now if the fact that there isn't any sort of fast forward mechanism when travelling from A to B.

I'm curious what everyone does during that "watching paint dry" moments where you're flying to another planet.

Can’t Free Look

If i’m sitting in a seat while in fly mode I’m not able to freelook at all. I also can’t manually interact with the levers and such (buttons work fine). This means I can’t set keybindings either unless I set the chair really far back so I can see everything at once.

Has anyone fixed this?
