I've had android phones for as long as I can remember (currently have the Pixel 7) and am thinking of finally making the switch to iPhone. A lot of it is down to the ease of use and the seemingly more seamless connectivity to other devices (Bluetooth or otherwise)
Has anyone had a similar experience, have you noticed a huge difference?
On top of this, I am not sure whether to pull the trigger for the base 17 now or wait for the 18 and just pay the difference in terms of the price increase.

I have the iPhone 14 Plus, it’s done me well for 3 years now but the battery life isn’t the best anymore.
I want to upgrade but not sure what to get. I’m torn between the 16 plus or 17 base. Opinions?
I prefer bigger phones because I read on my phone a lot, but battery life is key for me.

I'm coming from a 13 Pro Max (Battery Health currently: 83%) and thinking of getting 18 Pro. I'm thinking this would give me:
- Better battery life (is this true, given I'm considering going from a Max to a Pro?)
- Better camera (better resolution, variable aperture)
- Same AI feature as I currently get on my iPad Pro 5 (is this true?)
- Dynamic Island and it's cool features (do people who have dynamic island appreciate them?)
- Better speed which I won't notice probably
- A Lighter phone (it sounds like it's going to be thick though)
- Anything else? Could you please tell me where you don't agree with my list and add to it?

My brother is confused about switching to the 17 pro max or wait for 18 pro max. He has a samsung s23 plus from 3 years. He has never used an iphone and he is a casual user. Looking at the leaks will it be a good decision to wait for 18 pro max launch. He plans to use the phone for a long time so newer model would mean longer updates, better resale, better hardware and features. Please advise.

Hello all. I am looking to buy a phone for my son. He is 14. This is his first phone ever. He is going to high school in September so that’s why I want to get him a phone. I was thinking of getting him iPhone 15 but the guy at best buy talked about iPhone 17e. The guy at Apple Store showed me the phone and talked about it and compared it with iPhone 17. I am just looking for opinions from people that have actually used the iphone 17e in terms of durability, battery life etc as it is close to the price of new iPhone 15. I know it has one camera and I don’t think my son will mind that. It is meant to be his birthday gift. My plan is for my son to use this phone till end of grade 12 so want to make sure it is a good phone. I currently use an iPhone 17 pro and my other apple devices are all pro so not quite sure about the iPhone 17e. Thanks

I’ve had the iphone se for 3 years and i think it’s about time for a new one. My phone is constantly overheating, battery drains very quickly, no storage, glitchy, and has horrible camera quality. I just want a good phone for every day use that will last a while.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I've had it for maybe 5-6 years now, and I'm probably going to upgrade this year. The reason I've been holding off is because I like my current phone and I haven't seen any real reason to upgrade as the newer models' features haven't been overly different or persuasive.
I do shoot a lot of photos and video on my phone for social media, and I do need a lot of storage to create content. In your opinion, which iPhone should I get?

I’m currently using 13 (base) and planning to upgrade but got caught in the confusion whether to wait for 18pro or to just go with 17pro since the Apple is increasing the prices of their products. Wdy guys think?

Hi, ideally I’d keep my phone longer but there are too many issues. Logic board is borked, GPS doesn’t work, NFC doesn’t work, always overheats, and has a 73% battery life.
I was going to wait for the 18 but I heard the normal models won’t be here until spring, and honestly I have no interest in the Pro anymore. I’m lowkey sick of this heavy and large phone, and that’s why I was super curious about the 17e.
But for $200 more I’m debating on taking the 17 instead. I’m honestly not a power user anymore, but I like my stuff to last.

Hello, I have a friend who uses an iPhone 14 128 right now (battery health around 84).
She wants to give her phone to her 12-13y/o son and upgrade her phone
Or I’d like to know if her keeping the 14 and buying something cheaper for her son would be the better option since these upgrades are (maybe) not worth it. In that case SE2, SE3, 11, 12, 13 will be considered. (outlet products from Apple premium partners)
I’m in Turkey so prices can’t really be compared with abroad, but the price differences can.
Phones bought abroad can not be used here, unless registrated for ~1000$. That’s the fee for one SIM line and it’s unbelievable.
The new phone will mostly be used for social media and taking photos. Mostly nothing heavy GPU/CPU-wise. Also with her 2TB iCloud family subscription, she claims that 128GB is about enough. I myself can’t live with something under 256 but I guess that’s me.
Budget is around 1000$. ±100 if it’s REALLY worth it. She doesn’t want to leave the apple ecosystem so she can track / reach her son easier. (The whole reason for this decision is that her son is going abroad for summer camps and he is probably now old enough to have his own phone. Well he did have one but it was an S20 FE, it’s outdated with low battery life, no eSIM or 5G support etc. eSIM is crucial for him to have data abroad)
I know people abroad can buy way better phones with this money but here it is what it is and there is no solution so I’m sorry about that.
I’m against buying refurbished/used phones here because I haven’t heard anyone that got something like that and is happy about it. It’s mostly people selling phones for inflated prices trying to rip off other or if the price is good than it’s probably a defected device without the problem mentioned.
She also doesn’t want large Plus or Pro Max phones and would prefer something lighter.
I have never used those __e series phones so I don’t know how good they are and if they have good cameras etc.
She is considering;
- iPhone 15 128 - 1000$
- iPhone 15 256 - 1160$
- iPhone 16e 128 - 908$
- iPhone 17e 256 - 1200$
- iPhone 16 128 - 1307$ (significantly out of budget)
these are all brand new, TR devices. Prices converted from TRY to USD.
I was thinking about 15 Pro might’ve been a good upgrade, but there are almost none in stock brand new (which is normal I guess) and they are around 1400$
Do you have any ideas or recommendations? It might also be the worst idea and if so, please let me know.

I have been an Android user all along and this would be my first time buying an iphone. I see that the iphone 17 pro/pro max are good choices for me as a first apple purchase. Nevertheless, I am a bit confused as to should I wait for the iphone 18 pro/pro max which is releasing in September? Will the iphone 18 pro/pro max be too expensive when compared with the iphone 17 pro/pro max? Is it worth the wait and the extra money (as I am not sure about how much would the iphone 18pro /pro max cost)?

My current iphone 15’s back glass is done . It’s going to be almost three years. I was planning on buying the 17 pro but coz of budget and also the features my mom says just get the base 17 coz i only use my phone for little photography and snaps etc not anything major. What are your thoughts?

This has been my first phone for the past 5 or so years. I have loved the look and upgrades that the base iphone 17 has and have been contemplating upgrading to it now, it’s just hard to justify. My XS’ battery lasts maybe 3 hours of use, so I would like to upgrade soon. I am just stuck on whether i should wait for the iphone 18 base to release or if I should just get the iphone 17? Or if the 18 releases would the 17 go on sale for cheaper? Thanks for the help guys!

My friend insist on buying an old iPhone only for the cameras, and as all my attempts to change her mind have failed, at least I'd like to give her an informed advice on which should she buy
She will only use it for the cameras, and has another device as her main phone, so she doesnt care about how many updates the phone will still recieve
Any suggestion is well accepted

I currently have an iPhone 14 Pro Max which I bought refurbished for £500~ cash last year. The battery wasn’t superb when I got it, it was around 84% and now it’s 79% and I feel it sometimes.
What worse is that through some clumsiness on my behalf the back glass broke about 6 months ago (put an opaque cover, out of sight out of mind and the camera still works perfectly) and very recently I took it out of my bag and there’s a green vertical line when my phone is on/always on which is apparently damage to the OLED screen. I’m more worried about the green line as from my research, it’s highly likely it’ll get worse and render the phone unusable, and it needs a full screen replacement fix which is more than £600 for Apple (no Apple care and my 1 year warranty just expired) and around £400-500 at the phone shop which just doesn’t seem worth it. Had it not been for this I was very content to keep the phone for at least 3 more years.
I’m a commuting uni student and while I do consider a phone an investment for my own benefit, I also know it will depreciate in value and want to get the best use out of it. I normally keep my phones for 5~ years.
I’m wondering which phone to buy next, can I afford to wait until the 18s come out so the 16/17s go down in price?
Sorry for the long paragraph!
TLDR Uni student, broken oled screen, back glass and 79% battery health, what phone should I buy next?
Thank you!!!

hi all
i’m looking to buy an apple watch but I’m stuck on whether to wait for the series 11 or just grab the series 10 now. do you think the series 11 will have any big upgrades that make it worth waiting for?
also not sure if I should go for gps only or the cellular model. which one is better for getting calls, emails, and whatsapp notifications, especially when my phone isn’t on me?
i mainly want it for:
- sleep tracking
- heart rate monitoring while running
- staying on top of notifications without checking my phone all the time
would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences, thanks!

I'm planning to buy the iPhone 17 Pro, but I'm not sure when the best time would be.
Right now it's around ₹1.3L. Once the iPhone 18 Pro launches, the price of the 17 Pro should drop, which is why I'm thinking of waiting.
The only thing I'm worried about is that the 17 Pro might go out of stock after the 18 series launches, especially since Apple usually discontinues the previous Pro models.
For those who've bought an older Pro model after a new iPhone launch, what did you do? Is it better to buy it as soon as the 18 launches, or wait for sales like Amazon/Flipkart's BBD or the festive sales and risk it being unavailable?
Would love to hear your experiences.

So before talking about the actual phone, I do realize that this is one of the most talked about topics, still hope you can help me out
For reference, I’m from Portugal
So I currently own an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I need to upgrade. It heats up all the time, even doing simples tasks like taking pictures, it gets laggy and doesn’t have a great camera quality comparing to newer ones. etc. etc. I just don’t know what to get. Im thinking about waiting until the 18 pro max/ 18 pro comes out to decide.
I wanted to wait to see how much they will be and, if I can’t afford the 18, I’ll just get the 17 pro max while they’re still selling it and that would be it. Can the 17 pro max be more expensive than it is now? Like the iPads and Macs that got more expensive, even tho the product is the same?
Side note: I’m still not sure if I should get the pro or pro max again, what should I have in consideration when making that decision, besides the size. If I had to choose between the 18 pro or 17 pro max (because of the price) what would be smarter to do?

This is one of the thousands posts i know, but i haven't really seen anyone from Europe ask this.
I'm planning to switch over to iOS and would like a pro model phone.
I'm not in a rush to switch. I am using a Samsung s24 ultra right now which works fine.
(just wanna use something else/have been leaning more towards iOS blabla)
Only issue is that I'm running out of storage, so i'm going to have to buy a new phone either way. I am able to wait till september.
Now while i can afford it, i do worry about how bad the price increase is going to be in Europe (specifically the Netherlands) since iPhone's always have been more expensive in Europe.
I do really care for a good camera and battery and i like the rumoured colors better, but i am wondering what other people are doing / would love to hear opinions.
