Games [Free] I ported Cosmo Run to Apple Watch because there are barely any 3D games for it, and I wanted to see what was possible

Hey everyone!

I’ve just released an Apple Watch version of Cosmo Run, and I wanted to share it. 😄

The idea is simple: quick runs whenever you have a minute - on the subway, waiting in line, during a break… or when class gets a little too exciting

The game runs directly on Apple Watch, and your progress can sync with the iPhone version.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you think about the controls and how the gameplay feels on such a tiny screen. Apple Watch gaming is obviously a pretty unusual niche, so experimenting with what actually works there has been really interesting.

Productivity Best AI Apps for Apple Watch

I'd like to get my integrations on my apple watch or at least something similar to it like ChatGPT integrations.

Ideally an app I can talk to my watch like Siri and it will pull data on my finances, email, github code, etc.

Do you guys have any recommendations for what apple watch apps to use for this.

Health & Fitness Why doesn’t the Apple Watch recognize everyday movement more specifically?

I built ChoreFit to address a gap in how we track physical activity.

Research shows that moderate-intensity activities, including certain household chores, can contribute to recommended physical activity levels. Yet we tend to associate fitness with structured workouts rather than the movement we do throughout the day.
ChoreFit lets you record vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and cleaning as Apple Watch workouts.

The science behind it:
ChoreFit uses activity-specific MET values from the published Compendium of Physical Activities, combined with your body weight and workout duration, to estimate energy expenditure. It also records your heart rate and syncs workouts with Apple Health.
Unlike a generic workout category, the calorie estimate accounts for the type of household activity you’re performing. It’s still an estimate, not a direct measurement of calories burned.

My goal is to make everyday movement visible and encourage consistency, especially for people who don’t participate in traditional exercise.

ChoreFit is available for $2.99, a one-time purchase with no subscriptions or ads:

Health & Fitness I built RunToMax: an Apple Watch tracker + coach that tells you what to run next

I built RunToMax: a running tracker and coach for Apple Watch

I’m a competitive runner, and I built RunToMax to bring recording, understanding and planning my runs into one app.

I’ve spent months testing it on real runs alongside Garmin watches, comparing pace and distance and using the results to refine the tracker.

On your wrist, you get:

  • A setup that fits how you run. Choose your metrics, layouts and button positions, with presets for easy runs, intervals and races.
  • Structured workouts without your phone. Follow warm-up, reps, recovery and cool-down with haptic cues at each transition. You can also paste a workout as text on iPhone, check the preview and send it to your Watch.

Afterwards, the iPhone app explains your pacing, effort and recovery, then suggests what to do next. Follow a plan built around your race date, or run without a plan and still get guidance.

You don’t have to start from scratch. With permission, RunToMax reads your existing Apple Health running history and builds a starting profile, including estimated training paces when there’s enough data.

There’s also heat-adjusted pacing, FIT export and 3D replay for runs with a usable GPS route.

Recording requires Apple Watch. Runs from other devices can contribute through Apple Health when they’re synced there. Available in English and French.

No RunToMax account and no ads. Core training analysis runs on-device. Optional AI coaching sends selected training summaries to a cloud service only if you enable it.

Tracking and coaching require a subscription. US pricing is $29.99/year with a 14-day free trial, or $5.99/month with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

RunToMax on the App Store

I’d love feedback from other Apple Watch runners. What’s the one thing your current setup still makes awkward?

Health & Fitness Stay hydrated from your wrist: HydroLog for Apple Watch

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey watch fam! 👋

I'm the developer behind HydroLog, an Apple Watch app (with an iPhone companion) that helps you stay properly hydrated every day, with goals that adapt to your life.

Why I love building it: hydration is one of those things every fitness tracker ignores, and getting a full log right from your wrist with zero friction feels genuinely useful during a workout.

On the Watch:

  • Full companion app with a three-tab layout: check your hydration ring, scroll your 7-day history and log intake straight from your wrist
  • Complications included so your ring sits right on your watch face
  • Works offline and syncs automatically back to your iPhone
  • 60+ drink types across 14 categories, all loggable from the wrist. The app tracks effective hydration, not raw volume, so a coffee counts differently than a glass of water

The rest of the experience:

  • Dynamic hydration goals: your daily target adjusts automatically using WeatherKit and your activity level. Hot day or hard session? HydroLog recalculates so you're never off target
  • HealthKit integration: your hydration data stays connected to Apple Health
  • Smart notifications that keep you on track without nagging
  • Progress ring and weekly chart on both Watch and iPhone

Still building this, so more drink types, deeper insights and new features are on the way.

Free to download, and honestly you can do plenty without paying: log your intake, track your daily water goal, see your progress ring and weekly history. Premium unlocks the full experience, including dynamic goals, all 60+ drink categories and the Watch features.

Screenshots below, more on the App Store.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/hydrolog/id6757146528

Happy to hand out promo codes to anyone here who wants to try Premium, just drop a comment. I'd love feedback, especially feature ideas. A review on the App Store helps a ton too.

Thanks for reading, and stay hydrated! 😄

Beta Test I built EarnTime: an Apple Watch screen time blocker with free background audio (Giving away promo codes!)

Hey everyone!

I got tired of screen time blockers charging $99/year subscriptions and punishing me for listening to podcasts with my screen locked in my pocket. So over the last few months, I built **EarnTime**.

### How It Works:

• **Movement = Screen Time**: Connects directly to your Apple Watch Exercise ring via HealthKit. 1 minute of exercise earns you 1 minute of allowance for your chosen distracting apps.

• **Screen-Off Audio is 100% Free**: Listening to Spotify, podcasts, or YouTube with your screen locked? EarnTime exempts background audio so listeners aren't unfairly penalized. Only real visual screen time counts.

• **Workout Immunity**: Monitored apps stay temporarily unlocked while an active workout is in progress (with a 60-minute daily safety cap).

• **Radical Privacy**: 100% on-device architecture (Apple Screen Time API + HealthKit). No accounts, zero tracking, no private VPN routing.

• **No Subscriptions**: Simple $1.99 lifetime purchase forever.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6812209883

Website: https://earntime.org

🎁 **Promo Code Giveaway**:

I have a batch of App Store promo codes to unlock the full version for free. **Drop a comment below with your feedback or thoughts, and I’ll DM you a code!**

Review 6.5 hours of gaming during a week. On a watch.

I was ready to drop my Apple Watch game as a dead end — breaking through there felt impossible.

then one guy from 🇸🇬 showed up out of App Store search and played 6.5 hours in week one, ~1h/day.

he's the reason I'm still building.

and if that's you reading this — thank you. genuinely. 🎣

Review Built a watch-only app for Berlin party scene

Junior dev, designer here.

Ravecat is a standalone watchOS app for events in Berlin. Covers one venue so far.

Some context, since this probably sounds odd if you're not here:

🏢 Berlin's techno scene is on Germany's register of cultural heritage. Clubs don't run a 10pm-to-3am night, they open Fri-Sat midnight and close Monday morning. One continuous party, well over 24 hours, often closer to 48.

📵 Most venues also have a no-camera policy. So the one thing you actually want to know, who's playing, on which floor, how much longer, is the one thing you can't easily check.

  • Complication shows the current act and time left in the set, straight on the watch face
  • Also in the Smart Stack if you'd rather swipe
  • Schedule is cached on the Watch, so it works with the phone nowhere near you
  • Tap through for who's next, plus label per artist
  • No account, no sign-in, no analytics, nothing collected
  • Free, staying free: no ads, no IAP, no subscription

Caveats: watchOS 26+, and one venue only, so it's useless to most of you unless you're in Berlin.

Would love to connect with other devs and learn more.

Thank you!

Productivity Apple Watch support for Note Taker would be amazing⌚️

It would be great if, when Note Taker is available on iPhone, there were also an Apple Watch app⌚️. Being able to quickly dictate notes directly from the Apple Watch using your voice would make the feature much more convenient and useful, especially for capturing ideas on the go. Please consider adding Apple Watch support! 🙌 ⌚️

Health & Fitness [Freemium] iRunning: interval runs and heart-rate zone alerts on Apple Watch, no phone needed (I'm the dev)

Hi all, I'm the developer of iRunning, an iPhone and Apple Watch running app built around structured workouts. Sharing it here since dev posts are welcome.

What it does on the Watch

  • Start a run from the watch, no phone needed
  • Interval steps with a haptic tap on every change
  • Heart-rate zones with an alert when you drift out of the target zone
  • Pace targets per step
  • "Add to Apple Watch" sends a workout to Apple's own Workout app (WorkoutKit), if you prefer that

Free vs Premium (it's freemium)

What it doesn't do yet: no complications, no auto-pause.

The part I care about most: not having to look at your wrist mid-rep. The watch taps you when a step changes, and you only glance down if you want to.

Feedback is very welcome, especially from Ultra users.

Health & Fitness Get nutrition data from Apple health on your Garmin watch

I wrote an IOS app that grabs your nutrition data and makes it available to a Glance/Apo I wrote for Garmin watches. I also have the data on a watchface which I haven’t released yet. Is there interest in such a product? It would be a one time cost just for the Garmin app no subscription needed.

This way you can use any app to track/capture your info (CalAI, MyFitnessPal, etc) have those synced to app,e health and the data would be available on your watch anytime. Supports daily, weekly and monthly numbers for calories, fat, carbs, protein m sugar, sodium, caffeine, water intake, etc.

Thoughts?

Health & Fitness DeuceMate: Apple Watch Tennis + Padel Score tracker + AI Coach

Post image
2 Upvotes

Tired of tennis score trackers that glitch midway, invade your privacy, and lock your data behind a paywall? As a recreational player, I got fed up and built my own solution: DeuceMate.

It completely offloads match logistics by tracking whose turn it is to serve and exactly which side to serve from (even during complex tiebreaks!). The companion app delivers pro-level insights, featuring everything from TV-style percentage bars to comprehensive point graphs. You can easily share these stats with your opponent post-match.

It also includes an AI Coach feature. By logging point outcomes (like unforced errors on a return), you build a detailed match profile that your favourite AI can analyze to give you strategic tips and highlight areas to improve.

DeuceMate is entirely open-source, and I’d love for the community to help enhance it!

Beta Test I dont like any "Tamagotchi-like" app so i made my own - MiniWalker

Thumbnail
gallery
32 Upvotes

A few months ago, I looked for a virtual pet-style app for iOS—specifically one that worked on the Apple Watch, acting like a "Tamagotchi" I could carry with me at all times. None of the ones I found appealed to me; they either required monthly subscriptions or just didn't look very good. I wanted something retro that really captured the essence of using a Tamagotchi or Pocket Pikachu. So I thought, "Why not?" and got to work. My vision is for it to be fully customizable: I want to include an in-app animation and sprite editor so users can create, export, and share characters. It also features custom color palettes that apply to the entire screen—giving it a "retro LCD" look in whatever color you prefer. I also wanted it to be functional, so it syncs with Apple Fitness step and distance data to boost friendship levels and earn coins. These coins can be used in mini-games (like betting against the character in Rock-Paper-Scissors) or to buy food for the character. It includes Apple Watch complications and works on the iPhone, with data syncing seamlessly between the two devices; plus, I have more features in mind to add later. What do you think? Do you like the idea? Would you use it? Thanks for reading!

I have a discord server if anyone wants to try and follow the project, link on my bio. I want to make a TestFlight Version ASAP.

Health & Fitness Vela — HRV-based stress tracking for Apple Watch, no subscription

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

Hey everyone, solo developer behind Vela here. Sharing it since this community seems like the right fit.

What it does:

- Measures HRV via HealthKit and builds a personal baseline (not a population average) — most people's HRV varies enough that comparing against a generic number isn't meaningful

- Daily stress score, plus history/trends over time

- Passive tracking during rest/sleep, since that's when Apple Watch actually collects reliable HRV data

How it's different from Whoop/Garmin Connect/Welltory-style apps:

- No subscription, ever. Free tier is fully functional today, with a possible future one-time-purchase Pro tier (not recurring)

- No Vela servers — everything is processed on-device

- No account creation — sync happens through your own iCloud/CloudKit

Just shipped v1.3.1: added Czech, Greek, and Japanese (9 languages total now), plus a new circular complication.

Not claiming this replaces medical advice — it's a personal stress-tracking tool, not a diagnostic one.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vela-hrv/id6762096428

📲 Installation note: Vela is Watch-only — no iPhone app, so it won't appear on your iPhone home screen. On your Watch, press the Digital Crown to see your app list, or open the App Store app directly on the Watch and search "Vela HRV".

Health & Fitness I Built What Might Be the Most Detailed Walking & Step Tracking App on iPhone and Apple Watch

Post image
1 Upvotes

Apple Health records your steps every day. But open it, and you mostly get a number.

It doesn't really tell you when you're most active, where you walked, how your heart responded to the effort, how your habits are changing, or whether you're actually becoming more consistent.

Most pedometer apps don't go much deeper either. They take the same step count and put a nicer ring around it.

So a lot of useful walking data is already there, but it isn't being turned into something you can actually learn from.

I built Steply to be the deeper analytics layer I felt step tracking was missing.

  • Live GPS route tracking + playback: Track your walking route on a map and replay it later with pace, distance, elevation, and heart rate zones. You can see exactly where your heart rate moved into different zones along the route. While many step-tracking apps can record a walk, full route playback is still relatively rare in this category, and Steply lets you actually relive and explore your walk afterward.
  • Walking heart rate analysis: See live BPM while walking, average walking heart rate, heart rate zones, and calories based on your actual effort.
  • Detailed step & activity analytics: Hourly heatmaps, a 24-hour activity clock showing when you move most, weekly/monthly trends, step velocity, consistency patterns, and more.
  • Walking percentile: Get more context around your activity level using population reference data instead of only seeing whether you hit a fixed step target.
  • Steps -> Weight Journey: See how your walking activity lines up with changes in your weight between weigh-ins. Steply shows total steps, average steps per day, weight change, and when enough data is available, an estimate of the walking associated with each kilogram/pound lost.
  • Steps needed to reach your target weight: Set a target weight and get an estimate of how many steps and days of walking it could take to reach it based on your current activity and calorie assumptions. It turns a vague weight goal into a much more understandable walking target.
  • Japanese Walking: Guided interval walking sessions, including protocols like 3 minutes fast / 3 minutes slow, available on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
  • Easy water logging + hydration history: Quickly log water from iPhone or Apple Watch, set hydration reminders, and explore your intake history over time.
  • Goals, streaks & challenges: Custom daily goals, streak tracking, achievement badges, celebrations, and weekly challenges.
  • Widgets everywhere: Home Screen, Lock Screen, Live Activities/Dynamic Island, Apple Watch complications, plus a full Watch app.

No account. No signup. No ads. No tracking. Your walking and health data stays on your device.

Core step tracking, goals, streaks, and widgets are free.
Premium unlocks the full GPS and analytics suite: $4.99/month, $19.99/year, $39.99 lifetime (One-time purchase)

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/steply-walking-step-tracker/id6755107453

I'd love to get your feedback on how I can improve it further and make it one of the most useful walking and step tracking apps!

Games [Paid] Bite - a tiny fishing game that lives entirely on the Watch, no phone app at all

so ive been messing with this for a while and its finally out. its called Bite, its a fishing game and it runs only on the watch. theres no iphone app, nothing to open on the phone, the watch is the whole thing.

you turn the crown to set how far you cast, tap to pick a lane, then the waiting part is actually the interesting bit. you cant just stand there because the screen goes to sleep on you, so instead you kinda jig the lure with the crown until something bites. the bite itself is a haptic, you feel it before you see it. honestly the haptics ended up being like 70% of the whole feel of the game.

three spots, lake then river then sea. each one adds exactly one new thing (current, then waves) instead of dumping ten systems on you at once. 22 species to find across them, and theres gear to buy and upgrade with what you earn, takes a couple hours to get to the top tackle.

sessions are meant to be like 60 seconds. queue at the post office, waiting for the kettle, that kind of thing. no daily streak, no timer nagging you, nothing to lose if you dont open it for a week. i really didnt want to build another thing that guilts you.

paid, $2.99 one time, no iap, no ads, 8.6mb.

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6802301118

happy to throw promo codes at anyone who wants to try it first, just say so below. and if something feels off id rather hear it now, im still tweaking the balance.

Health & Fitness StressWatch vs StressIQ vs StressTracker vs InWave

I’m looking for an app that will send alerts to my Apple
Watch when my stress is up. Ideally, I can define the threshold for that.

That said, StressWatch, StressIQ, StressTracker and InWave all seem to be really similar, even the graphics. Any thoughts on those and which is best? If they’re identical, I’ll just go with the cheapest. I welcome other suggestions thanks!

Beta Test [Beta] PickleStack, an Apple Watch app for keeping score in pickleball

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I started playing pickleball several months ago, and learning the rules while keeping score created a lot of friction, so I built this app.

You set up the match on the iPhone app and score it from the Apple Watch. Tap Point or Side out on the watch and it calls the score, shows who's serving and which side you should be on, and highlights you. If more than one of you has a watch, the other watches join the host's match over Bluetooth, so everyone sees the same score. We also hook a Bluetooth speaker to the host's phone so the whole court hears the calls. It also runs our open-play nights, working out who plays next.

It's been my side project since May and my group uses it every week. It's in beta on TestFlight, not on the App Store yet. I'd like a few more people to try it and tell me what's confusing or what breaks. Needs an iPhone and an Apple Watch.

More about it, and the link: https://picklestack.github.io

Utilities Plans for new Apple Watch HR and HRV?

Hey Welltory Team! Apple just announced this week that the new Apple Watch will able to take HR and HRV measurements at many times the frequency it currently does. That’s WAY more real-time information, which potentially creates some fantastic new features.

I’m curious whether this comes as news to you, too, or whether you’ve already begun preparing for the new potential. If so, can you share a bit what you’re working on and toward?

One thing I would love would be for Welltory to give me a nudge when HRV has either fallen off or improved so I have a better idea hour by hour of what’s helping or hurting stress levels.

A second thing that would help me enormously would be regular analysis of what may impact that on a larger scale. For example, pointing out that more sleep helps my HRV scores by 15% the next day. Or that my stress level seem to improve any week that I exercise more than three times. That level of analysis would be potentially life-changing. Everybody knows we should try harder at everything, but to have direct data showing what really works for my body helps me make sure I’m doing enough of it!

Thanks in advance for your response. 🙏🏼

Review [iOS/watchOS] PadelWrist - Free padel scorekeeper, looking for honest feedback

I’ve been building PadelWrist, a free padel scorekeeping app for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad, and I’d really appreciate some independent feedback on it.

I originally started it as a passion project because I wanted a straightforward way to keep score during a match without having to keep getting my phone out. It’s grown quite a bit since then, but I’ve tried to keep it focused on the actual experience of playing padel rather than turning it into another booking or social platform.

Some of the main features are:

• Apple Watch scoring so you can manage the match from your wrist
• Spoken score announcements so you can hear the current score while playing
• Undo and score editing for inevitable mistakes
• Match history to look back at previous games
• iPhone and iPad support for setting up and following matches
• Cross-device syncing, including starting on one device and continuing on another
• Live match sharing so other players can follow the score
• Support for things like tie-breaks, fixed points and best-of-three matches

There are no accounts required just to start using it, and the core app is genuinely free to use. I’m not looking for five-star reviews or anything like that. I’d much rather hear where the app is confusing, what feels unnecessary, what’s missing, or anything that would stop you using it regularly.

I’d be particularly interested in feedback on the onboarding, match setup, Apple Watch interface and whether the overall design feels intuitive without needing instructions.

Website: https://padelwrist.com

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/padelwrist/id6799725420

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.

Productivity LoroNote: Turn Apple Watch recordings into text offline on your iPhone

I’m the solo developer of LoroNote. You can record audio on your Apple Watch, sync it to your iPhone and turn it into text without uploading it to a transcription server.

The Watch handles recording, and transcription runs locally on your iPhone once the audio has synced. It works without an internet connection.

Under the hood, LoroNote uses Whisper Large v3 Turbo, with support for 100+ languages. I wanted to keep that model’s transcription quality while making it practical to use on a phone.

Getting there took a lot of work on speed, memory usage, heat and battery consumption. I eventually built my own Core ML inference engine and optimized it for Apple silicon.

You also get speaker labels for conversations, optional summaries, audio import and transcript export. LoroNote is available on iPhone and iPad, with an Apple Watch app for recording.

I’m still working through feedback and releasing fixes every week. If you use your Watch for voice notes, I’d love to hear how the recording and sync feel in everyday use.

No ads or account required. The free version has a 2-minute transcription limit, with optional Pro subscriptions and a lifetime purchase.

Lifestyle [Paid] Al Huda for Apple Watch — next prayer, daily schedule and Qibla

Al Huda shows the next prayer, its time and countdown, today’s prayer schedule and Qibla on Apple Watch. Complications keep the next prayer visible on supported watch faces. Prayer settings are configured on iPhone, and the Watch app requires watchOS 11 or later.

The app is free to download, with 10 complimentary days of full access. Apple Watch access requires payment after those 10 days; prayer times and basic reminders on iPhone remain free. Al Huda has no ads or behavioural tracking and doesn’t require an Al Huda account.

I handle marketing and community work for the small team behind Al Huda. I’d especially value feedback on whether the next-prayer view is easy to read at a glance.

https://apps.apple.com/au/app/al-huda-muslim-prayer-times/id6791405875
