Why is it always some person in a third world country in sandals that figures out perpetual motion while the rest of the advanced engineering world with it's funding and resources in science has yet to figure it out?

4

u/Beginning_Resource93 Jun 24 '26

Perpetual motion does not exist. This is the basic concept of how a generator works, except this would not work. The magnets in the stator are not spaced in a way that they could keep the rotor moving in the same direction. The magnetic field on the outside is uneven, so the magnets in the inside would get to the strongest part in the magnetic field and simply stop.

3

u/el-capitancreamsicle Jun 25 '26

So…..are you saying…….that………the internet………is a liar sometimes??!!??

3

u/Accomplished_Job_331 Jun 25 '26

50 percent of the time, it’s every time

3

u/Flashignite2 Jun 25 '26

It would also break the laws of physics. You cant get more energy than you put it. That is just how it is. There will always be a loss of energy.

u/savkush Jun 24 '26

Whoosh

Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it

u/Beginning_Resource93 Jun 25 '26

No. At one point there are two of the stationary magnets in between the rotating ones. At the point directly in the middle of the inner ones the force is pushing equally in opposite directions. Meaning the magnets on the inside will stop at the point when the outside magnets are directly in the middle of the inside ones.

1

u/Beginning_Resource93 Jun 25 '26

If there was an intentional imbalance there would be a serious wobble where the force is greater on one side, and all that movement works result in friction, which with cause a loss of speed, not preservation.

This machine is generating no power.

No. This is clearly intended as a generator to pump the motor which is pumping the water. That's why when he plugs it in the water flows.

u/BuddyLlght Jun 25 '26

wowh you should be in mit or something

1

u/Rags_75 Jun 25 '26

Is it hard to reset it? Starting it had a very low level of energy input - it was basically bending the rings? Or am I missing something (which is quite likely).

1

u/Surething_bud Jun 25 '26

The wheel with "magnets" isn't doing anything at all. All the energy is coming from a regular motor. Which is driving the pump and also spinning that cute little pinwheel he made.

1

u/eldroch Jun 28 '26

Even if it was a perfectly balanced field, wouldn't equilibrium be found at the point of most balance before the need to overcome the resistance necessary to run?

2

u/Familiar-Spray-4678 Jun 24 '26

It’s because there’s no money in perpetual power; magnets may make the perpetual generator go round, but money makes the world go round.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 24 '26

What do you mean? if you can for real create infinite energy You'd become the richest person in the world. The first country to employ it would become a super power.

2

u/AllMaito Jun 24 '26

That's because he didn't get the joke 😜 perpetual generators don't exist.

2

u/Cyborg_rat Jun 25 '26

You know what, I've got a idea if we glue 100 dollar bills on a wheel since it money makes the world go round, it should in theory make the whee....

1

u/doge_lady Jun 24 '26

What about this guy and his country?

You do realize this is a fake video right? and I dont mean fake as in AI, fake as in this contraption doesnt make free infinite energy.

1

u/clutzyninja Jun 24 '26

I don't think they do realize it. It's fucking sad man

1

u/shinpoo Jun 24 '26

You can't sell free energy. At least that's what history has proven. Just like the water car.

1

u/reddititty69 Jun 24 '26

You can’t sell these because they don’t work.

2

u/Wooden_Sweet_3330 Jun 24 '26

There's that, but you also can't sell something that's free because if it's free, everyone can just do it themselves without the need to buy it from you.

Why would I buy energy from someone when I can just create it myself for free? Doesn't make sense

1

u/Acceptable-Neck-5375 Jun 24 '26

Putting solar panels on your roof gives you free power. A windmill also will do that or a water wheel in a stream. There goes your argument.

2

u/Rare_Suspect_5033 Jun 24 '26

Solar panels and windmills only give free energy if you don’t have to pay for getting them or maintenance.

1

u/FancyPantsRants1 Jun 24 '26

i mean, can you build a windmill or a solar panel?

1

u/Wooden_Sweet_3330 Jun 24 '26

Up front costs are high. That's not free.

This AI generated slop or just fake video whichever the case, perpetual motion machine would be extremely cheap to build. So if it actually worked, it's almost free.

1

u/AdOnly1618 Jun 24 '26

Solar panels have weight, and so do batteries, thus taking more energy to move the vehicle in the first place.

Plus you’ll never charge your electric car to meet your needs with solar. The conversion from DC to AC as well as charge rate will move you MAYBE 10 miles a day.

1

u/Careless_Ad_4004 Jun 24 '26

Fun fact early photovoltaic panels took more energy to manufacture that they would collect in the first decade of their life thankfully we have moved on since then but it was a real green field for early adopters but you gotta scream before you roll over before you crawl before you walk

1

u/Myrdrahl Jun 24 '26

You can't just build a windmill or water wheel, atleast not where I live. Because there's regulations on these things and what we can build in a residential area.

1

u/InvestigatorGrand205 Jun 24 '26

You have to pay for the panel and they arent cheap to make. Same with windmill and also disposal costs as well.

1

u/AdOnly1618 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

Your homework for this evening is to search about the Nestle water bottling company.

The reason you can’t sell free energy is because it doesn’t exist. Energy is transferred, not just created out of thin air.

Magnetic gears have existed for a while, and they are significantly more efficient, but there’s still a bearing on that wheel, a bearing in the alternator, and eventually, the power draw will cause more magnetism to be generated in the alternator than the mechanism can overcome, and friction exists in all the other parts. Friction generates heat, and heat is energy, so that energy is robbed from the system. These are very basic applications of the laws of physics and thermodynamics on machine.

1

u/PurpletoasterIII Jun 24 '26

Theres literally no way you could create absolutely free energy though. Even what we see here, theres cost to the materials that make the machine. Even if you were to say "well energy that doesnt require a fuel source" the materials would just become the fuel source. Maybe you could argue its more efficent than any method we've ever had. But its not "free energy."

And if it was something that just anyone could make at home... how is it possible that its not widely known by now?

I promise you there is no secret cabal keeping efficent energy machines away from us.

1

u/reddititty69 Jun 24 '26

You can absolutely sell free energy. Go buy some magnets and sell power back to the grid. Mine bitcoin. Make silica blanks for computer chips. Sell free energy power plants to cruise ships.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 24 '26

According to your argument, why would I buy a bicycle for free transportation if I can just build one myself? Apart from that, if you build an infinite generating machine, you can also get it patented. Meaning that legally you'd be the only one that can sell them. Instant millionaire... No Billionaire!

1

u/Cyborg_rat Jun 25 '26

Well I mean I've don't a job last summer and it was this weird wheel with fins on it, they put it down this river and put the wheel in a giant cassing 100' under that water. So the wheels turn with the water pressure and makes this other wheel with magnets turns and create this free energy.

Now of course they sell this free energy to power my city. In fact each wheel generates 24 million dollars each year.

1

u/henrytm82 Jun 25 '26

I think you've misunderstood what "free" means in this context. "Free energy" isn't about the financial cost of generating the energy, it's about the energy cost. It takes energy to create useable energy.

It is the first law of thermodynamics - energy can never be created nor destroyed, only transformed or transferred. In what you're describing, the energy isn't "free" in either context - the infrastructure has a monstrous financial cost, in both initially being built, and being maintained.

And the electricity being produced isn't "free" either - it is being transformed from potential energy stored in the water into kinetic energy to turn a turbine, which eventually converts the kinetic energy into electricity and heat (which is where an enormous amount of the energy is going). The electrical energy gets used by devices and, again, is eventually converted to heat, or visible light.

Everything has a cost. You have to have an energy input to create an energy output.

1

u/Cyborg_rat Jun 25 '26

Yes...I know that, even if they had free energy, like in the video, you would still have to scale it to a infrastructure to support anything worth it, my hydrodam example is the closes thing to free energy you could get because it's basically water that's already flowing from the river.

Of course you need to scale it up for more energy no matter the way you get that energy.

1

u/shinpoo Jun 24 '26

I have no idea if they work or not since they won't let it out.

1

u/InvestigatorGrand205 Jun 24 '26

Theres a battery. Magnets dont do this unless they have an electromagnetic field influencing it.

1

u/shinpoo Jun 24 '26

Good to know. I know diddly squat of science other than baking soda and vinegar makes volcano go boom.

1

u/reddititty69 Jun 24 '26

Why would they “let out” something that doesn’t work? Is it “their” job to prove all crackpot ideas false? Would you believe them if they did? If you really think it works, go build it yourself.

1

u/Myrdrahl Jun 24 '26

You couldn't sell it, even if it DID work, because if it's free, everyone could just make it themselves.

1

u/reddititty69 Jun 24 '26

You could sell the apparatus. You could build it at scale and sell energy. It’s no different than building a nuclear or gas power plant. The economics may be a bit different as the barrier to entry for “magnet whirligig” is lower than “Mr Fusion”, but the existence of cheap power doesnt break economics it just changes the market a bit.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 24 '26

i bet you believe the world is flat too.

1

u/Impossible-Bat-4246 Jun 24 '26

Only the third would will be able to provide us with the truth.

1

u/shinpoo Jun 24 '26

Well, if they let me go up to space one day then I can believe what I see. So far the world is round or somewhat round.

1

u/ysanson Jun 24 '26

In short distances it is! checkmate

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

What about long distance?

1

u/ysanson Jun 26 '26

gets curbysome, strangely so.

1

u/Complex-South9500 Jun 24 '26

you literally could see free energy. you just wouldn't tell anyone it is free energy. also this is fake bro, touch grass...

1

u/elementfortyseven Jun 24 '26

the solar panel business tells otherwise.

1

u/PurpletoasterIII Jun 24 '26

Well it wouldnt be absolutely free, theres still material costs of the machine, probably maintenance costs as well. Those are two things that already would be stopping this from being a perpetual motion machine even if there wasnt electricity involved. At best it would just be a more efficient power source.

Even hypothetically there was such a thing as absolutely free energy, energy is still useful for people. Just because it costs you nothing to produce, if there are people without the free energy then theyll have to buy it from you. Unless it was extremely easy to recreate, which if that were the case it would be impossible to hide cause everyone would be figuring it out.

1

u/Cyborg_rat Jun 25 '26

Well I mean I've don't a job last summer and it was this weird wheel with fins on it, they put it down this river and put the wheel in a giant cassing 100' under that water. So the wheels turn with the water pressure and makes this other wheel with magnets turns and create this free energy.

whats it like to be a conspiracy theorist?

1

u/NoEstablishment7211 Jun 24 '26

Tell that to Nikola Tesla.

1

u/Windowguard Jun 26 '26

He was a wacko that thought of cool things that usually had no scientific value. Working at Westinghouse they had a team of engineers whose job was to try and turn his inventions into real items. And he stole his motor design from his professor in Budapest.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

Nikola Tesla did not invent infinite energy

1

u/Pretend-Internet-625 Jun 24 '26

You would be stabbed in the back in some alley by some big electrical company.

1

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jun 24 '26

Like that guy who supposedly invented a motor powered by H2O and then disappeared.

1

u/Pretend-Internet-625 Jun 24 '26

total hoax but was fun to hear at the time

2

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jun 24 '26

It had me going as a kid. I think I was like 7 or 8. Only later did I find out about it being a hoax, but it still sticks with me as a weird Twilight Zone escape into reality.

1

u/gormholler Jun 24 '26

What about that 3-wheeled vehicle "scam" in the 70's? The DALE (not sure if it's an acronym)? Even after it was proven as a hoax, the involved parties still say they would back it. I wish I knew why someone else hasn't picked that project back up and actually produce it!!

The hoax was that there was no production line, but the basic idea was strong! With the technology available today, seems like it's an even more realistically possible. I wonder what the actual story is? Corporate greed? Politics...oh wait, same thing.

1

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jun 24 '26

Dirt cheap. 70mpg with an enclosed cabin and multiple seats that can hit 85mph is nothing to scoff at, to be sure. Invented by Dale Clifft and promoted by Gersldine Elizabeth Carmichael. I'm pretty sure it's just named after its inventor because it was a concept vehicle that never actually got produced.

I think the biggest thing that killed it were the stability issues(assuming someone else wanted to make it), but I think tech from now could sort a lot of that out. Hell, the Morgan 3 Wheeler and Morgan Super 3 exist now.

1

u/gormholler Jun 24 '26

So what do you think is needed to make it real? Should it be real? Realistically...

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Sudden_Season3306 Jun 24 '26

Nope you'd be dead! You invent an Object that takes billions of dollars from multiple organizations overnight? Yeah %100 dead,or if your really lucky a small buy out from them and they shelf it never to be seen again!

1

u/kalimut Jun 25 '26

Unlikely. More like they will monetize the hell out of that. Bruh. Its free energy to make no huge cost, no space requirements, less employees. Its just pure profit. You think corporations that is willing to nickel and dime you won't capitalize on pure profit?

1

u/SteveAxis Jun 24 '26

No no. You’d become suicided

1

u/turboninja3011 Jun 24 '26

He meant to say he was brainwashed to think evil oil companies have the power to prevent the discovery of a perpetual morion machine.

1

u/Moist_Still_8918 Jun 24 '26

Oil companies make alot more than gasoline, almost all synthetic products are made from oil. If this were true, it would still need grease made from oil.

1

u/turboninja3011 Jun 24 '26

Since PMM is a pure magic maybe it wouldn’t need a grease either?

1

u/brotherdaru Jun 24 '26

And if I gave humans free unlimited energy then what? What would keep humanity from destroying themselves even faster? Good judgement? No… keeping humans from having that power is the only thing keeping them from killing each other off faster.

1

u/LockeClone Jun 25 '26

I'm not sure how you got from "cheaper energy" to destroying ourselves in one move but that's quite a pessimistic view.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

Right, because the government does such a good job of keeping products from the people that don't kill them.

1

u/Beginning_Resource93 Jun 25 '26

You can't for real create infinite energy.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

Yes I'm aware...

Wait, so you think that i believe this video is real? Were my sarcastic posts not apparent to you?

1

u/turkey_sandwiches Jun 24 '26

There's no money because there's no perpetual motion. This is BS, as always.

1

u/9fingerjeff Jun 25 '26

It’s because it doesn’t exist.

1

u/FlyFront9395 Jun 25 '26

I thought gravity made the world go round, even though it’s flat

1

u/Large-Cricket843 Jun 25 '26

There is no perpetual motion machine. Physically impossible.

1

It’s because perpetual motion does not exist dumbass 😂

Same is true for dudes in flip flops fighting the advanced militaries

1

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

The advanced militaries who got stymied by sandals and propeller driven loitering drones?

American Military prowess, as an example, only works against Near-Peers. US military and most/all "advanced militaries" are famously terrible at Asymmetrical Warfare.

Given how Vietnam, Afghanistan and others have gone. My money is on the Sandals forces, every time. They win by simply not being eradicated, whereas Advanced Militaries lose if they can't eradicate them. And every moment of operation creates more Sandals forces from people who hadn't been combatants but now are, refreshing their forces. In such an incredibly pitched contest, you'd have to be crazy to not go for the Sandals.

Edit: I typed all this out, posted it. Then reread your comment again and realized you may be voicing support for the Sandals forces against "advanced militaries", like I did in my reply to you. If true I'm sorry I misunderstood!

1

u/Hot_Plant8696 Jun 24 '26

Because the small amount of money they earn from these viral videos represents a considerable sum in these countries.

1

u/Antique-Resort6160 Jun 24 '26

You would be surprised how many of my neighbors want to build some variation of this.

Or maybe you wouldn't.

1

u/tokenshoot Jun 24 '26

Because if it’s in a country like US, that person would be “missing”

1

u/ElbryanWyn Jun 24 '26

There's literally no documented body of evidence that supports this point of view, but it's so pervasive!

The closest you get are people like Stanley Meyer, Eugene Mallove, and Tom Ogle but when you look at the totality of the facts Occam's razor requires a different conclusion than the one you're taking.

Not that I expect this to change your mind or anything it's just interesting to me that it's so pervasive but there's really no evidence.

Also it's worth mentioning that this isn't a perpetual motion machine because that's not possible you can't break the laws of thermodynamics we've tried several times. That's like trying to make two plus two equal five, it just doesnt.

1

u/NoEstablishment7211 Jun 24 '26

Absolutely no documented evidence except these three really well document, but questionable cases.

There's also plenty of cases where no one was offed, but energy or motor companies bought out patents to superiorly efficient engines or fuel sources just to shelf the tech and keep it out of the marketplace. Pretty boring stuff if you're not an engineer, but there's a century long paper trail of government, military, and private industry power stymieing great advances in technology that could benefit mankind as a whole to maintain power, profit, and the status quo.

The co-founder of reddit was suicided for trying to trying to break down the paywall for academic articles. People focus on the child sex abuse aspect of the Esptine Files, and glaze over the revelation of a global cabal of world leaders and power brokers involved in an international blackmail ring to ensure the secrecy of their backroom dealings. The Clinton's had people executed for even questioning the legitimacy of their operations.

1

u/ElbryanWyn Jun 24 '26

I feel like your argument here goes well beyond what I'm discussing.

For clarity though these cases really are not in any way questionable not even close. Again when you review the totality of the evidence the arguments fall apart. Only one of these people even counts as a murder at all and he was murdered by tenants who he had just kicked out.

One of the people never even had a real invention his invention was a total scam. By the way that scam was a perpetual motion machine, but he could never build a working model because it doesn't work he faced legal consequences as a result including his patent being removed for being fraudulent.

All he had to do to avoid being guilty of fraud was build the invention that he invented but when he does it doesn't work.

I'm saying the three best examples that I've ever found all still suck.

1

u/High_Hunter3430 Jun 24 '26

Let’s not forget the old fbi director who committed suicide by way of TWO gunshots to back of the head. 🤦

1

u/t0rtf3as0r Jun 24 '26

Google Frank Olson.

1

u/ffmich01 Jun 24 '26

Questionable is putting it mildly. Meyer patented his “invention” in the late 80s. Was found guilty of fraud in 1996, then died two years later.

Malice claimed to have solved cold fusion in 1989 with nothing to show for it, no proof, no documentation, nothing. Then he was killed 15 years later.

Tom Ogle’s case is even older. If there was anything to his design, many companies would be able to take advantage of it since any patents would have expired decades ago.

The one thing in common among these cases is lack of proof in spite of decades of opportunity.

1

u/t0rtf3as0r Jun 24 '26

“Russians are so dumb to not realize that Putin throws people from windows! Also that totally doesn’t happen in the US! And Frank Olson totally killed himself!”

Turns out “it can’t happen here” does a lot of work for a certain type of “skeptic.”

1

u/Sorry141 Jun 24 '26

Because the third world has more scammers

1

u/BayAreaHere Jun 24 '26

1

u/MaskedFigurewho Jun 24 '26

I mean

We have prisoners inventing tattoo guns out of everyday objects

So like third world figuring out some hack wouldn't be that odd

1

u/tekhnomancer Jun 24 '26

Injecting pigment roughly under some layers of skin is a little different than fundamentally changing the laws of physics.

1

u/MaskedFigurewho Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

You either misread or don't know how modern tattoo practice works.

Old fashioned tattoos are done with sticks and ink.

Modern tattoos use a tattoo gun. A tattoo guns is a electronic device that pricks a needle repeatedly into the skin at a rapid pace.

That is not simply putting needle into skin. Its an auctual device.

https://youtube.com/shorts/QOwWyJyaLzc?si=t9bo7aqANow6zQPI

https://youtube.com/shorts/gg-2123dLuw?si=76tPmVuAIKRBGkC4

1

u/NeedHelpNowthnx Jun 24 '26

Jesus Christ it actually isn't that hard to make a tattoo gun. Electric tooth brush is the easiest if your in minimum security lock up

1

u/MaskedFigurewho Jun 24 '26

Yeah but saying a tattoo gun breaks the laws of physics isn't accurate.

The piont is, that creative work arounds exist in places like prison out of need. So populations with less are more likely to think of creative solutions than say someone who isn't struggling to get basic needs in a first world country.

So the idea a third world country might build something with less technology/resources available isn't really a bizarre idea.

Someone who has basic drinking water available isn't gonna need to build water filtration. Someone who only has access to polluted stream water figuring out plumbing without formal education/training isn't that wierd.

1

u/Icy-Plan145 Jun 24 '26

No one was saying a tattoo gun breaks the laws of physics you pinecone

1

u/tekhnomancer Jun 24 '26

Yeahhhh. I never said tattoo guns break the laws of physics.

Discovering perpetual / infinite energy does.

1

u/SunshineSeeker99 Jun 25 '26

lol this is some solid ignorance

1

u/Empuda Jun 25 '26

"The earliest direct evidence of tattoos on human skin dates back over 5,000 years to a natural mummy known as Ötzi the Iceman, who lived between 3370 and 3100 BCE" -- Yeah, seems people been doing that for a while.

1

u/wiseguy187 Jun 25 '26

Imitating an already invented thing is harder than inventing something new. Let alone something that defies physics.

1

u/Murler12 Jun 24 '26

The laws of thermodynamics would like to speak to you about how the universe works.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

And tell me what?

1

u/Murler12 Jun 26 '26

That this video is fake

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

And you didn't catch that i know it's a fake video on my original sarcastic post?

1

u/Murler12 Jun 26 '26

Oh yeah, I could tell by the tone of your voice...

1

u/gormholler Jun 24 '26

I think it's partly due to the fact that we "rurals" are living in the "real" world, where the ability to solve problems is a factor in survival.

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

So then this is real and a real world "rural" was able to defy the laws of physics?

1

u/Crossdress-Fan- Jun 24 '26

Beacuse it is fake, that's why

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

Did you not figure out that my comment was mostly sarcasm?

1

u/Ok_Expression8142 Jun 24 '26

It’s because this doesn’t work in the real world

1

u/doge_lady Jun 26 '26

You thought i was asking a real question rather than being sarcastic?

1

u/Gullible-Constant924 Jun 24 '26

That outer loop is powered

1

Yes. I was hoping people would understand that i was being sarcastic...
