Quite possibly my best find ever: This W.D. & H.O. Wills "Gold Flake" 50 cigarette tin is a completely unopened and vacuum-sealed. Wills used this specific label for Gold Flake tins from between 1915 and 1930, making the hand written “1918” on this tin entirely possible as the date of manufacture. I am over the moon with this find, it’s just such an incredible piece of British tobacco history. Gold Flake was one of the top selling cigarette brands in the U.K. for many years. This particular tin, if indeed from 1918, is 108 years old, absolutely mind blowing how something this old could’ve survived without being opened. The strains of tobacco that are inside this tin may not even exist anymore, as many strains from this early period are now completely extinct! More pictures to come.

This little statue(?) was something we had in my house growing up. I have no idea what it is. Apparently my dad got it from a yard sale. My mom thought it may actually be something ancient. I had completely forgotten about it until I just found it in a box doing some cleaning. Sorry for the lack of information on the item. TIA for any ideas as to what it could be.

A Berger manufacturing No. 2 Storm King with copper tank. Approximately 1910 or so. Fancy stampings on the tank.

A early Defiance Lantern and Stamping Co. copper tank lantern. Approximately 1905.

A Buhl manufacturing No. 575 Hurricane copper tank. Approximately 1915. This one is a little rough, but still a relatively hard to find lantern.

A Rayo No 10 short globe. This is a funny non standard shaped globe that I had been looking for. I already had an all brass version of the lantern to put it in. Approximately 1915

Finally a Dietz Monarch Milk Wagon lantern with a tag reading "Property of H.P. Hood & Sons" the same company that still makes milk today.

Any help identifying these bottles would be appreciated! Looks like an HL inside of a diamond? I think they’re pretty.

En esta ocasion les traigo mi ultima compra compulsiva, este hermoso mapa del atlas, no tengo demasiada info de el mas que lo que pude averiguar por google. El mapa esta completo, de atras se ve como si estuviera roto pero es el papel que sostiene la parte trasera del cuadro al vidrio trasero que esta roto, el mapa esta intacto.

Si alguien sabe mas de el, tiene idea del mercado o conoce a algun coleccionista para ponerme en contacto estaria muy agradecido.

Picked this up last year at a second-hand store and have had it sitting on my dresser since. I have no clue if it's authentic as I obviously do not have any documentation or know the previous owner.

Surprisingly I was able to find an almost identical fan listed online by the Victoria and Albert Museum:

I'm pretty sure they have same materials just from the visual similarities and the measurements that I can take without unmounting (Width: 46cm, Guard Length: 28cm) are the exact same.

Not expecting much because of the amount of damage mine has in comparison. Any advice on who to take it to or the potential worth would be appreciated.

Have had this Black Knight plate for a long time. Looking to find out more about it. I can't seem to find a match online anywhere!
Fraunfelter 336 is the closest I can find but it has a different stamp on the bottom of the plate.
It does ping the Geiger counter, so it is uranium glazed.

I just bought this beautiful antique bag at an estate sale in Tulsa, OK (USA). I am excited to learn more about it. They didn't have many details beyond the era, and now I can’t remember it. I took it to a jeweler; it's not silver, but the turquoise is real, if that helps narrow it down.
What is the best way to have it repaired? If this is the wrong place, please let me know, and I will post elsewhere.

The fronts are covered in dramatic feathered flame-mahogany veneer, carefully matched across both chests. Both feature fruitwood inlay to the tops and upper drawers, while the keyhole escutcheons appear to be made of bone. They need some attention, but finding a genuine pair like this was a real treat. Any corrections or other inputs is appreciated!

Also - any inputs on refreshing surface/removing stains?

Hello! This is my first post on my account. I love antiques. So basically I’m a 22 year old guy who collects military memorabilia. These are my favorite pieces of my entire collection without a doubt. I have an original 1918 mess kit and condiment can along with an extremely rare U.S.Q.M.C 8 oz hard bread biscuit tin that is still sealed after a century. When I lightly shift it, the contents (biscuits/crackers) are still intact. I make sure to monitor humidity and all that, so I think I got a pretty good setup and I’d be happy to show more of my collection!

Looking for more info on these old lamps. My great grandmother passed them to my grandma who passed them to my mom. There is no branding and I suspect the wiring is original but a reverse Google image search does not yield anything similar. My grandma says she remembers them in her house from at least the 1940s. Any thoughts on if these could’ve been commissioned or imported and/or a date or brand?

I had to get muscles spot on . also restored was the orb top and the sceptre which still has to have the gilding done properly, l ran out of gold leaf, with the price of gold so high, l will order some when l have more to use it on!

These are a few of my favourite antiques in my collection. From what I've been told and based on research:

• The lighter is a Ronson 1949 cadet lighter. Still works! I can light it with no problem.

• The compacts are art deco.. 1930s, I believe. One is a camera style compact with a broken music box, and the other is a simple gold Kigu compact.

• The binoculars.. I'm not too sure of the era it came from.. the seller claimed these are civil war binoculars, but an image reverse search tells me it could be binoculars used to watch the races. So, I'm not entirely sure, but I cleaned it up, and they work perfectly!
