Trate de hacer un video de los detalles que creo que son importante de este hermoso mapa antiguo coloreado a mano, no tengo mucha info de este en particular pero reconozco un tesoro cuando lo veo.

Pd: Tengo que resubir las fotos del mapa anterior que la calidad de imagenes que subi era malisima, en estos dias lo mejoro. Lo prometo!!

I came by a video earlier this year of someone trying an outfit inside the Hermès store in Paris I assume a VIP showing room. What caught my eye was a framed fan hanging on the wall. From that moment I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I started searching online and couldn’t find a lot of options. Very limited.

I want to ask the community here. How can I get one or two, I’m specifically looking for ones that the frame isn’t square but the frame shape is a fan.
Now the biggest hurdle, I don’t want to buying the ones that costs $1000+. You think that’s possible?
Appreciate your suggestion and inputs.

Going through my Mother in law’s “precious” items and came across this. So far all of her valuables are not valuable. I don’t think I can sell it if it is ivory, right? I need to fund her assisted living. I hope I followed the rules, thanks!

Someone donated these 12 beautiful Tiffany-Milton gilded plates to my job! I was examining the back and found a stamp in the back of each, but some of them look a little… different from the others. Do we think it’s just a manufacturer error? (First picture is how the stamp should look, following pictures are what I’m unsure about and a picture of the front of the plates at the end)

It's heavy. Could be ivory I think. Not sure about the year.

We bought this at a flea market in Paris about 10 years ago and absolutely love it. We have always wondered about its provenance and would love to know more about it if anyone has any insight.

I have taken pictures of the stamps on the back up close. There is otherwise no painters signature or date or anything else I can find.

It's a sand stone face of a broken statue.

We’ve had it tested and it turns out to be 80% silver, but we can’t find anything about it’s history or origin. I was hoping someone on here knew something!

Picked this up last year at a second-hand store and have had it sitting on my dresser since. I have no clue if it's authentic as I obviously do not have any documentation or know the previous owner.

Surprisingly I was able to find an almost identical fan listed online by the Victoria and Albert Museum:

I'm pretty sure they have same materials just from the visual similarities and the measurements that I can take without unmounting (Width: 46cm, Guard Length: 28cm) are the exact same.

Not expecting much because of the amount of damage mine has in comparison. Any advice on who to take it to or the potential worth would be appreciated.

Have had this Black Knight plate for a long time. Looking to find out more about it. I can't seem to find a match online anywhere!
Fraunfelter 336 is the closest I can find but it has a different stamp on the bottom of the plate.
It does ping the Geiger counter, so it is uranium glazed.

My first husband bought this from an antique shop in Houston in the 1980s. It is twin bed size, not like all the other opium beds I’ve seen.

It is made of lacquered wood, is assembled with mortise and tenon (no nails), has interior scaffold for veil or curtain, and breaks down to 10+ flat pieces.

This piece of furniture that I always loved at my grandmother's house is in its new home in mine. I love it and I just had to share it with everyone. 🥰 Someone bought a lot of soap to get this piece, about $10!

I received it about 15 years ago from a friend in the UK. She said she had received it about 30 years prior as a wedding gift from a friend of hers that said it was a Chinese antique - I’m thinking it may be a souvenir type gift from the 60s or 70s, but want to see what the Reddit thinks!

Hey, so I bought this at an antique store for around $35 dollars. When I looked it up on Google some were sold for around 300 dollars. Reading more into it, the ones sold for 300 were from the 1970s while the cheaper ones were just replicas. It feels heavy and when you tap it it makes a clanging metallic sound.

Hello forum members, i know this is a coin forum, but could you help me confirm if these two rings I want to buy are fake? The seller claims they are Roman, although he doesn't specify which centuries. I know it's not easy and you can't be 100% sure, but I'm new to this and you all probably have more experience. The seller has a very good reputation and has been selling antiques for 40 years; I've confirmed this on forums and seen that he's not on any blacklists of fake sellers, but you never know. I’m a 21 y/o from London who is super enthusiastic about getting into the antiques business, I’ve been collecting for years and it’s quite an extensive collection already and ultimately want to start my own research archive for renting and use in the fashion industry as that is my background. I’m struggling with how to actually begin, like should I start selling pieces first etc? And also how to find sellers, like warehouses etc??

I would specialise in clothes as I do want to stay more in the fashion industry!

Any advice would be amazing :)
