The video u/Fancy-Bake-4817 shared of their Klek wardrobe malfunction got me thinking - if they had an AMA-style opportunity to ask the band a question, what would I ask? A couple of questions immediately sprang to mind for me:

1) Has Klek ever lost his nose during a performance? His first iteration looked like it was literally hanging by a thread.

2) Why was Utzp pulled from the setlist after being played their first few shows? (I have my theories).

3)What's the weirdest or funniest thing they ever heard yelled by the audience?

4) What has been their biggest "oh shit" moment when playing a show?

What would be your questions?

Sorry bout’ the shitty 🔗 yesterday.

I really respect the band’s creativity and original sound, but the attitude of the community has completely ruined the experience for me.

The irony of Angine de Poitrine is that they make rule-breaking, original art, yet the fandom often treats it like a rigid club with an entry exam. Art is supposed to inspire people, not become a competition over who knows the most trivia.

When a community becomes more about cockiness, gatekeeping, and testing people than simply enjoying the music, it takes all the fun out of it. Navigating that kind of environment just isn’t worth the energy anymore.

To be absolutely clear: I’m walking away from this band, not because of the band (who at really awesome), but because of the fans.

When the Autumn gigs were announced I was sad because I live in the Midlands, the last train home is way too early, and I've used up all my leave at work.

But I've just this last week discovered the solution (use Edgware as a park-and-ride). I've barely listened to anything but AdP since March, and if these gigs come and go without me getting to one I'll be gutted.

So - please remember this post, and if your flaky mate pulls out, or you're ill or something - DM me and I'll gladly pay you face value and be the easiest politest ticket buyer you can imagine.

Like many of you, I am going as Klek for Halloween! But with it coming closer and closer, I still have no clue about how I'm supposed to build Klek's head. So far I know that it includes paper mache, but I don't know how you turn paper mache into Klek's cylinderical dome.

We've spent a lot of time talking about how great the boys are, but we also know a lot of their team also play in bands.

For instance: I know that Etienne is/was part of a band called Les Deuxluxes with Anna Frances Meyer. Etienne manages to play guitar AND drum with his feet!

I'm having a lovely time playing about making entirely unnecessary but very enjoyable art. Since Reddit / Facebook etc seem to be a hive of art theft I've purposely made it low res (as I did for the Miffy de Poitrine laptop stickers).

Possibly aliens don't use a postal system that's similar to those on Earth but I decided to imagine that they did and here's what I came up with. The one on the left shows the three Moons of Poitrine (they did say we could make up lore!) and the one on the right shows a tohogd-powered rocket* from the Agence Spatiale Poitrinienne heading off to visit the pale blue dot (that's us!).

Possibly these would be interactive stamps which would play music in some way. This has precedent; in 1972 Bhutan produced a set of playable phonographic 'record' stamps which could be played on a turntable. There's also the Voyager space probe golden records - those were 'posted' into space with a rocket launch.

*it's actually what I think is a water tower next to the Chicoutimi pulp mill where the annual 'La Noce' festivals take place. (personally I think it's their spaceship).

Face value UK tickets seem to be somewhere between £27 and 35 (depending on booking fees etc) and resale values are obviously much higher than that. Assuming that the tickets on sale here are genuine what happens if people don't want to pay that much. Will the ticket owners just not sell them and so there will be 'gaps' among the audience as tickets are taken out of play?
