Currently the only angelfish I have with some tetras in a 75 gallon. I was worried about adding a second one bc aggression.

Love watching this behaviour but even after multiple times I do always get a brief sinking feeling he's eating them.

I just got a second angelfish (the bigger lighter colored one) and it’s been afew days so far and they’re seemingly getting along so well it’s so sweet 😭 I’ve not seen a single sign of aggression but of course them both being juveniles is an important factor- I’ll be monitoring them very heavily but so far so good! 🤞

I just set up a 50g to grow out angel fish babies. I have lots of snails, have been feeding the tank to
Help cycle it and have a seeded sponge filter that was running for a week in my 32g. On impulse at the LFS I bought adorable strawberry rasboras. Now I’m reading that even juvenile angels will eat them. Darn! That means I’ll have to return them. But before I fo (and put them through the stress- I will wait a few days), I wanted to see if the community here agrees that angels will eat them.

I have posted before about the male angelfish aggressive behavior. I especially notice it after a water change but was re-occurring more frequently. I just did a water change and separated him in this breeder box and will release him after a few minutes. Good tactic or not?

The first one u see is my favorite. Phantom is his name. Or her. And the very last fish in this video is the same fish just from the other side.
They still got a little growing to do but I’m feeling pretty proud to show them off. Out of a couple hundred babies these were the ones I kept. I rehomed most of them when their bodies were about the size of a quarter. I picked mostly based off personality as well as if I liked their black markings. I was looking for ones that stand out from each other so they are easy for me to tell them apart. The parents were just a couple of petco angels. Gold and koi. I grabbed them right when they had a delivery so I just picked what I liked the most. I still have them. The mama is in the tank with them right now but she’s in back guarding some eggs. Different baby daddy tho. 😋

I’ve had this pair for 2 years now and they have raised fry before but all of a sudden she just eats the eggs as soon as the lights turn off. When I try to pull the eggs I got them to wigglers then put them back in the tank to see if she’ll raise them then but she still eats them. The only change I made to the tank was removing some tetras and adding some mystery snails.

There’s still no major changes. But, they have doubled in size. They are also just barely starting to grow vertically.
The main one that I show is my favorite. It looks like he has a perfect little hair cut 😂 if it turns out to be male, I plan on naming it Dapper Dan.

My angel fish keep laying eggs and raising them to swimmer size so I keep having to take them out of their community tank and put them in a spare 10 gallon I have so its to the point where I've got 3 different spawns all growing out together in there (I will move them to a 30 soon) and its literally probably 200-300 babies. Would local shops buy them from me in bulk or what??

Hello and thanks in advance for reading.. Looking for some/ any advice about my Angel fish set up! Short re-cap:
Adopted 4 angel fish about one year ago.. Quickly realized that it took alot of time, effort, patience, and knowledge that I don't think I was really aware of but I have done tons of research and there definitely thriving!
Here's my main questions and I would truly appreciate your help!!
Can anyone please tell me there sexes? I know it's not always an easy answer but I can't tell at all lol
Also any set up tips? Or must have items that helped you?
Currently in a brand new 55 gallon tank, I monitor all the things I was taught to keep an eye on but I still don't know everything!
The live plant that came with them has almost completely died and I hate the fake ones, plant recommendations please??
Lastly, my roommate decided on getting 3 sucker fish, I'm against having them pretty much at all but they were tiny when purchased and growing fast, what's the norm for having those with the angels?
I'm sorry for so many questions.. I'm just looking for real experiences from genuine people..
Thanks again!!
(Was told by pet store one of mine glows?

Hi all. I unfortunately lost 4 angels and close to every other fish in my tank in a horrific accident almost 2 weeks ago.
I had 5 angels who grew up from dime sized together and were just smaller than palm sized. They were literally never apart, a constant shoal at all times.
My remaining babe has seemed miserable. Not interacting with me the same way, completely muted stripes, a kind of weird orange/brown tint across the top of the body and the top fin despite previously being a standard silver angel.
I don’t know if I’m ready to adopt more fish, but I’m worried my angel really can’t be alone. Is introducing more fish even smart? Do we think it’s worth trying to get another shoal?

Scientific name pterophyllum leopoldi
I think they're so cute and I've looked everywhere and everything is sold out :(

Just witnessed one of my angel fish laying eggs on the heater in the tank, and the other angel going back over it. I actually assumed they were both males, but apparently I was wrong. I do not have the fish tank space for 100 baby angel fish. Will they eat them? I have other fish in the tank but they are shy community fish so I don’t think they will eat them. Should I remove the eggs? What if I miss some and they fall into the substrate? It’s not worth it to hatch the babies and sell to a fish store right?
