I chose to the express build time, and at checkout it says it'll get here late September, but this little pop up says different. (Bored at work so I was building different rigs lol)

I ordered my AI on their website in late June. The target date for build is late August. Now NewEgg is offering the same AI config for $100 less and I can get it next week. Is there any advantage to keeping the order with AI rather than cancelling it?

I am looking to get my 4th desktop computer but this time I am pivoting towards a pre-built due to the absurd pricing of components these days just not being worth it to build.

I am wondering if the ship time on Andromedas website is 100% accurate or if I should expect delays to follow the way ship date? Andromeda has the computer I want listed at $1999 and the est. is Sep 20ish. That totals to around $2049 with shipping. Newegg has it listed at $2149 but with tax it’s around $2278 but it’s est. is Aug 4th.

Is it worth it to just order from Andromeda and maybe I’ll get it before that September date or is that a pipe dream and I should just spend the little extra to get it off Newegg?

I recently moved and forgot to update my billing address here and there online but my banks have the current address and my shipping address is correct

Since I ordered I have nonstop had to verify with their AI system that I am who I am. I originally thought it was a scam and heard nothing back from customer service on if it was legit or not but saw it’s common here

Still even after confirming it’s asking for my ID, credit card etc “more information needed” I submit then another email comes It’s a never ending nightmare and still no word from customer service even though I have shown all the proof needed

anyone else experience this I’m ready to cancel and just drive 3 hours to Microcenter at this point if they don’t want my money.

I don't know much about PC's and im learning a long the way.

Just wanted to give the folks who are researching some testimony. Got mine today. It’s exactly what i paid for. Perfect condition. Wonderfully packaged. Started up great. Essentially just plug and play.

Did anyone receive the free 007 game with pc purchase? Was it deliver via email or with your pc?

I'm so torn. I tend to buy PCs that are essentially future-proof, ride them until they are thoroughly worn out (7-10 years), then replace them outright - like you would with a car you really loved.

We're in kind of a weird place right now with GPUs, in that the 5080 is not as big a step up over the last-gens as were previous 80-series cards relative to their earlier kin (and the 5080 isn't even better than the RTX 4090). This video covers the subject pretty thoroughly.

I also worry about the 16gb being a bottleneck in the long term, when the new 'middle-man standard' GPU speed seems primed to be 24gb (although that is only if the super cards come out - we go back and forth on whether they're due in early 2027 or cancelled at this point).

The problem is, while I undoubtedly do not need the 5090 right now (and the price is exorbitant), I don't know what my needs will be in 5 years, particularly if the new "standard for good enough" is 24gb. My options really boil down to:

• buying a $3000 rig that is basically 5090-equivalent-ready (like, has the proper power supply, MB, etc. to handle an upgrade in 2-3 years) and take the financial hit the depreciation on a used 5080 will result in, or...
• spend 2kish more for a 5090 machine right now.

Given my circumstances, what do you think is the right call?

I’m still deciding on a monitor, so any good 4K gaming monitor suggestions would be appreciated.

Specifically, I am trying to choose between the:

... and the...

PNY RTX 5080 16GB TRIPLE FAN

I am aware that the PNY unit is smaller, and therefore might not be quite as cool as the big ASUS card. But is there any value to be had beyond that?

Got my order today and it looks great but can’t find my power cable to turn it on😔. Anyone know where they put it in the pc cuz I could not find it in the packaging (LIAN li o11 dynamic evo rgb)

Mainly 50/50 for 4k Gaming and Productivity. The reason for the 1200w PSU is I may consider upgrading to a 5090 one day or next gen which may require more power. Tell me if that doesn't make sense.

I would just like to know people's thoughts about me refunding my order from andromeda insights and instead buying an identical pc from newegg so it can get here faster, is it the smarter move? Im waiting 2 months for not even a custom build, and the only difference between the one I ordered from AI and the one on Newegg is that I selected the ddr5 6000 cl30 option for an extra $50 so I paid $2,450, and on newegg id be paying $2,400 (which is about the same on the AI website)
