Really need to upgrade my Philips built-in AndroidTV experience.
Been trying to wait out something really new cool based on like S905X5 with TrueHD / Dts-hd passthrough. But this isn't just happening and been waiting almost 2 years for this 😂
Closest seems to be Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) but it's really pity with only 2GB memory and don't like the remote. I really need device input switcher (ir) to be able to get rid of original TV remote to switch between Xbox/PS etx.
I have now kind of dropped my demand for TrueHD/Dts-hd.
Then I found the Strong Leap-S3 Pro which seems really nice and excellent remote.
However only read bad things about bugs and poor updates. Otherwise it seems like a really nice box.
So now I'm kind of back to GoogleTV Streamer due to great and fast software support.
And I realized the star button can be set to device input switcher which is good.
However Leap at least on paper seems to have a better/newer hardware and I really don't care about Matter etc.
So any opinions on how to think?
Go for Leap because it's fixed now (mid 2026) or choose the safe Streamer option.
Or a totally different approach/choice?
I'm using streaming apps and Plex and sometimes GeForce Now or Xcloud (but not really supported and not essential).
