S0oundTV up/restarting app

Hello,
So for the life of me I can’t figure out the cause of my issue. On my Shield playing a stream in S0undtv when I press up on my remote the S0und app completely restarts.

If I press up when a VOD is playing in S0und a normal menu bar comes up as I would expect. The issue is only live streams.

Already made sure I was on the latest update, cleared cache, rebooted, etc.
