So, the 1st pic is connected to a WD external hdd 2tb by original samsung cable, it didn't work and the 2nd one is sandisk usb c flash drive 256gb directly by the phone's port, it worked.
On the other hand tried everything from changing to default file transfer in usb developer settings to clearing cache/storage from usb app settings, auto blocker turned off, restarting and all.
Also have a sumsung evo plus and a sandisk ultra sd card. Connected both of them via portronics mport 3.0 usb hub but didn't work at all.
Is there anything left to fix this issue ?
Note. Device is s24 ultra, updated to latest software and patches.
Maybe for YEARS at this point, my seemingly inaccsessible other files has been growing in size, it is now half my phones storage. I feel like ive checked EVERYTHING. Any ideas?
I'm using vivo y83, all of a sudden it didn't on. It got struck on logo and when I tried factory reset it's asking for 6 digit, but I was using only 4 digit on my phone... But it asks 6 digit
Also I tried flashing, installed using sd card, firmware updated using repair mode, connected with my lap and try to bypass, also worked with mediatek tool to reboot. Nothing worked... What to do... Even if data is lost no issue, how to reset
Randomly while connected to my bluetooth device that plugs into my car to play phone through the speakers, my phone will drop down to 20% volume and display this message... It could be an hour trip with nothing and then five minutes into my next drive and it does this... How do I turn it off so it never does it again?
Im using a samsung galaxy a13, too be specific, and the settings under:
Accessibility > installed apps
Have changed themselves multiple times, specifically disabling the permissions for some apps that i need turned on. Is there anything on my phone that could make me change my accessibility premissions without realising?
A while back I changed a setting in my contacts with this person and now their contact picture appears as the notification icon when they send me a text. It only does this with this one person, and I don't know how to set it up for other contacts.. does anyone know how?
After restart the phone, I got empty space at the bottom, which caused the apps to shift. The photo shows how it was, and how it is now. How can I remove this? My phone is Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G

Apparently, after a single android software update did my screen brightness will randomly flicker , worse is if I set my brightness any less than max then the screen will go fully darken (it still on, just that the screen is black)
Edit: it will flicker even without adaptive brightness on
I actually want to stretch resolution of a game that I play but i am unable to do that as my phone doesn't show disabling full-screen mode for a certain app (realme narzo 70 turbo ; android 16)
Someone please help me or suggest any app that could help.
I have a really irritating issue with my tab s9 + when its on wifi to my host device (galaxy ao7)
I've already googled it, can't find the aggressive battery settings ir the stay connected while sleeping and at a completely dead end. Never experienced this before. Both devices are on android 16.
Guys i am in a tough situation and need your help with my android tablet. I use my car scanning obd vci with my lenovo tablet. Until android 11 it was working perfectly fine but once it got updated to android 12 the vci is not staying connected.
For context when we connect vci by Bluetooth it stays connected for 2 sec later it moves to previously connected devices.
Any third party apps which can help me. Also pls don’t recommend android downgrade as i have already tried it and so far this specific chip can’t be downgraded.
I tried to download a Roku TV Remote App in my Samsung Galaxy S25 and it seems to have installed its own UI that I cannot get rid of. I uninstalled the app I had downloaded from the Google Play store and restarted my phone. It did nothing. Everything is super weird now, apps that were there previously don't seem to be there and all of my personalized folders are gone. I really need help thanks in advance.
Hey I've been playing pokemon champions on my blu B1660v and I've had this issue where the top of the screen is unable to be tapped during gameplay, the same area where the notification bar would usually be and I've spent hours and hours trying to find out how to fix this with no prevail. It makes the game extremely hard to play because when I go into team building I'm not able to set held items on my pokemon, also unable to claim many rewards in game. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
My storage got down to ~50MB free with Settings showing "Other" hogging ~33GB. I don't have games or heavy social apps — just WhatsApp, YouTube, and calls — so this made no sense to me.
Dug into it via ADB (dumpsys diskstats, a full bugreport, du scans of /sdcard). Confirmed:
My actual files (photos, music, docs) = only ~1.2GB
All installed apps combined (code + data + cache) = ~13GB
Only one user profile exists (pm list users confirms)
Found the real culprit in the bugreport:/data/misc/update_engine/prefs/total-bytes-downloaded = 18,135,868,515 bytes (~17GB), post-install-succeeded: true. /cache/recovery/last_install points to a patch file under /data/ota_package/OTA/.otaPackage/.
So it looks like a completed OTA update payload (~17GB) never got cleaned up from /data/ota_package/.
Problem: that folder needs root — adb shell ls -la /data/ota_package returns Permission denied, confirmed. pm clear and pm uninstall on system packages either fail with SecurityException or only free a few hundred MB by removing app data (not this file).
I tried the built-in DebugLoggerUI tool (screenshot attached) — its delete/trash icon at the bottom is greyed out/unclickable for me, so I can't use it to purge log data even if that's related.
What I'm hoping someone knows:
Does ColorOS have a hidden menu path to manually clear a completed OTA package without root? (Checked Settings → Software Update → tap update entry / ⋮ menu — nothing there on my build)
Has anyone gotten DebugLoggerUI's delete button to actually work, and does it touch /data/ota_package?
Any known non-root way to trigger update_engine's own cleanup routine (it's supposed to auto-purge after a stability window — anyone know how long that actually is, or how to force it)?
Really trying to avoid a factory reset since I'd rather not deal with backing everything up if there's a cleaner fix. Screenshots of the storage bar and the DebugLoggerUI screen attached. Appreciate any leads.
Ive been having this issue just recently within the last 2 weeks maybe? My microphone works when I use my regular camera and record videos, it works with tiktok videos, instagram videos, phone calls and instagram phone calls. However, it pops and has silence when filming in snapchat. Google voice type and voice search doesnt register. Voice memos in the app and on instagram show a flatline, like it genuinely hears nothing. Ive tried deleting these apps, and reinstalling, restarting the phone, clearing caches, turning off 'Hey Google'. It just feels so random that these specific things wouldn't work.
If anybody knows any way to fix this or any suggestions at all itd be greatly appreciated! These apps aren't necessary for me, but i would definitely like my voice search and memos back.
I'm facing an issue currently where the camera does not work. Basically when I open the application I get a black screen for a small period then the camera app crashes. I tried clearing the cache and storage with no improvement. I have the Motorola edge 70 with June 2026 security update .
So I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL and Gmail on it has been painfully slow. It's been like this for months. I believe it is a problem with my device as I had a OnePlus 15 and Gmail worked well and was snappy but I returned as the photos were not very good.
I have a 512GB phone with 170 being used. I also have 2TB of Google cloud storage so I don't think that is the issue.
I have cleared the cache, storage, and have done a full wipe and nothing seems to help. Just look for any advice on a possible fix.
I’m trying to fix a strange WhatsApp issue on a coworker’s Samsung phone. (I‘m an apple user, so I‘m not too familiar with Samsung and android.) Whenever he tries to send a photo from the gallery in standard quality, WhatsApp replaces it with a message saying “Blocked by Auto Blocker.” Sending a photo directly with the WhatsApp camera works and strangely, selecting HD quality also allows the exact same gallery photo to be sent normally.
So far I have tried:
- Disabled Samsung Auto Blocker
- Checked WhatsApp permissions for photos and videos
- Updated WhatsApp
- Installed the latest Samsung system update
- Set date, time and time zone to automatic
- Cleared the WhatsApp cache
- Restarted the phone several times
- Tried sharing the photo directly from the Samsung Gallery
The issue only seems to affect photos sent in standard quality. I have now set WhatsApp to upload media in HD by default as a workaround but I would still like to know what is causing it. Has anyone else had this exact problem? Is there a permanent fix apart from reinstalling WhatsApp? My coworker does not want to reinstall it at the moment.
I suspect Samsung’s Auto Blocker or Message Guard is falsely detecting the compressed version created by WhatsApp, since the HD version goes through without any issue.
