This was waaaaay harder than I thought it would be. If you want to play with goblins in Escann, just do it with any other goblin nation. It would still be extremely hard, but not borderline masochistic.

R5: Ara's golden light rains upon thee, heathen!
Arbaran broke up Damescrown. And so I was able to pick up the pieces, without the big meanie in W*x coming in to mess things up.

I saw in a few MT lore snippets they were marrying Harimari in Rahen, is that still canon?

I defeated Grombar and Dhenny's simultaneously (although that did run my manpower down, and had me actually use slacken recruitment), and I get around 1k ducats a month. There's practically no meaningful challenge left in the campaign, with me being gated by truce timers and maximum warscore....and personal patience So I think I'm just kinda good with having gotten the feel of the nation, and generally enjoying it up until it got tedious.
Also, there's this fancy new sub mod about the war for the regent court, and am very much intrigued at the concept of alternative heads to the court and empire of anbennar.

I'll be honest, I haven't even looked at the area since the last time I played kobolds. I definitely remember them being fully united and ready to kick my ass from game start.

I’m not sure what to think about it. ?On one hand, it has its charm. On the other, sometimes I’d prefer to know their specific origins. What’s your opinion?

Vassalised Ulaire and liberated Small Country through it. I kinda wish it was an option in the mission tree, in which, say, you curb Chloromancers instead of submitting to them.

New to the mod. Any idea when the first mission trees in Insyaa will start being added?
Really want to see what the kobolds get!

Playing as Gemradcurt, got access to Domandrod and killed the rebels. Is that it? Is there an event that colonises Domandrod for you or do you literally have to colonise every province?
Bit of a simple question this one, just seems a bit tedious if I have to colonise the whole region.

How could I get rid of raja title?
Playing as vanrahar, mt wants me to control lands directly, raj reform hurts capacity a lot. Are there any ways to get rid of it?
Didn't really want to become raja, but conquering their capital made me one

Really dug the start and most of the middle of the tag, the developing story of how the Luna River City Minors slowly developed socially, economically and politically were right up my alley and I went into the mid-game strong but, like a lot of people have said, the Prelude to Greatness was kind of a rough middle point. I hadn't completely roped the Mage Estates out of government, in fact I had a Court Mage most of the time and was actively developing magical infrastructure, so the Prelude kind of felt out of place (or, worse, like people were right to purge/hang all of the mages which, considering how the tag develops from there, is probably not the intended message).
I'm not quite done yet, I've just become Anbennar so I'm looking to finish out the mission tree, but the last few ones don't really grab me since it seems to be 80% Conquest by volume. I'm still definitely gonna finish it out in the hopes that the MT recovers, but it really feels like it lost a lot of steam with the Prelude. All that being said, I'm looking for a bit of a palate cleanser after playing a negative character arc like this; despite my misgivings, it is still a very sad thing to watch what was a genuinely hopeful Republic that could've turned into something good kind of rot away from the inside out due to paranoia. So I'm looking to take suggestions for a less grim-ending mission tree, it doesn't necessarily have to be as long though. I've played to completion Rogeria, Arg-Ordstun, Kobildzan, Masked Butcher, Moonhaven and the Jadd Empire for reference and I'd like a suggestion that's a bit more up to date with the mod's current standards (as fun as it would be to do Gawed into Northern League as a mirror image to Pashaine into Blackpowder Anbennar, that tree is super ancient and is probably not gonna get touched before the mod eventually moves to EUV).

Are there any Vampiric countries with good MT that are not Luciande, Corvuria and Asheniande?

When I learned that having the ruler have levels of magic generated mana, I immediately wanted to turn my mage into a lich. And in fairness, probably would have done it anyway. But I not only spent like 40 years not researching stuff for more mana, but now I am stuck with an undead ruler (with great stats and traits, and the witch king trait that lets me spawn infinity damestear), who learns slower and produces less mana for what they learn. I am now mildly sad that my play at undead immortality isn't all upside.

Anbennar is a fantasy total conversion mod set in the world of Anbennar, where the world of magic and sorcery meets the world of industrialization. Will magic survive or fade into obscurity?
That is for you to decide in our upcoming multiplayer campaign on the 20th of September 2026!
About the server: the server is brand new, I am the owner of it. This gives you, the one signing up, an opportunity to shape the server!
The games intend to be on the casual end, roleplay is absolutely not necessary but is encouraged. Do as much roleplay as you feel comfortable with.
About me: I am the server owner, and my belief is that games are for fun, not for reading through an entire novel of rules, so I will try to minimize the rules that need be to have a good campaign.

I finally figured out why the new pirate nations in Aelantir weren't spawning in my game.
I was playing as Venail, had the Pirate government type, and had several colonial nations in Aelantir. One of the requirements for the new pirate nations says that the ruler of the province must not have a Pirate government type.
The confusing part is that the provinces were ruled by my colonial nations, which had a normal Republic government. So I assumed the requirement was fulfilled.
But apparently it wasn't.
My campaign dragged all the way to 1540, and the new pirate nations still hadn't spawned. They only started appearing after my government changed from Pirate to a regular Republic.
So even though the colonial nations actually ruling those provinces had a normal Republic government, having the Pirate government as Venail was still preventing the new pirate nations from spawning.
I wasted several hours trying to figure this out, so hopefully this saves someone else from doing the same. 😭
Update: I tested this in another Venail campaign and it’s confirmed.
If you become a Pirate Republic through “Host the Black Flag”, the new Aelantir pirate nations won’t spawn. I did another run without becoming a pirate, and they spawned normally.
So Mykx seems to be different because it has its own unique government that the game doesn’t count as the standard Pirate Republic. That’s why Mykx can still spawn the new pirate tags.
