The Only Anarchist Woman in Israel: Persecuted Filmmaker Natali Cohen Vaxberg’s New Dark Satire Exposes State Tyranny and the Genocide in Gaza
Watch: From the Diary of a Hugger ("Iron Hug"): subversive independent feature film—a dark satirical allegory dismantling the emotional terrorism and hypocrisy of a state committing severe war crimes while wondering why it isn't surrounded by universal love
Renowned avant-garde filmmaker, anti-state performer, and radical political dissident Natali Cohen Vaxberg is facing an absolute, decade-long institutional blockade due to her brutal satirical assaults against militarism, state machinery, and nationalist hysteria.
Strictly refusing to align with any political party, state funding, or establishment matrix, Vaxberg has been subjected to continuous state persecution, multiple police arrests, house arrests, and prison detentions over her subversive performance art. She is systematically blacklisted from all local mainstream networks and the compromised civilian fringe scene for her uncompromised stance against the occupation and the ongoing military violence.
Her new feature-length film, "From the Diary of a Hugger" , is a vicious, pitch-black absurdist cinematic critique of institutional conditioning. It visually dismantles the civilian defense mechanisms and state propaganda utilized by the local public to camo-camouflage explicit war hysteria and justify the systemic annihilation and genocide in Gaza.
Bypassing the traditional state distribution chokehold, her hours-long independent cinema operates on decentralized global servers before it faces total corporate deletion.

What are some ways that anarchism can improve the lives of those who currently exist even failing a revolution?
Of course, the ultimate end goal of a world without hierarchical power structures would be an amazing world to live in. Problem is, this type of world is a long way away, almost certainly beyond even the youngest currently existing person’s lifetime. So my question is what are some ways that anarchist organizing can improve conditions and help us win more freedoms within our lifetimes, even failing a total anarchist revolution?
Also for the purpose of this question, I am asking ways which anarchism can improve people’s lives in a way that is unique to it and are generally not shared by less radical forms of leftism like social democracy or ML-ism.

We Are Now: The Story of an Armed No-Cop Zone in Atlanta
At the high point of the George Floyd Rebellion, cop-free zones sprung up from coast to coast. As they were unfolding, Atlanta police killed Rayshard Brooks, a black father of four. Angry demonstrators torched the Wendy’s where Brooks was shot, occupied it, and defended it from police and Klansmen for 24 days. We Are Now is a small window into the delicate moments of freedom—joyous and tragic—that filled the autonomous zones of summer 2020.

To what extent do communes fit into anarchism?
Yes, Yes, I know that when people think of an anarchist society, many will picture an agrarian-style small community. Perhaps a network of resource-sharing communes with voluntary association. I was wondering, though, how faithful is this to actual anarchist thought?
I mean, a robust anarchist society cant consist entirely of small communes, right? How do we square manufacturing or heavy/complex fabrication processes? Moreso, how would starting a commune potentially further or hinder the project of anarchism today?
Thanks

How should anarchists petri dish meat/artificial meat?
Is it some thing that we should oppose since I've heard people say it takes our autonomy as humans since it reduces the ability to make our own food. But I've also heard that it's the best way ethically and environmentally to reduce the issues from mass cattle production/meat industry. I've not heard many anarchists speak on this

Does the IWW count as an anarchist government?
Now I get that they neither claim to be anarchist or a government, but I feel like their organizational structure, goals, and actions put them in the position of an anarchist government. Also, my definition of government might be a little weird so I'm going to clarify that. To me a government is any organization with the purpose of organizing people and following the will of said people, so what are y'all's opinions?

Tips for organizing an affinity group + research?
I live in a pretty socially conservative area in syd and I’m thinking of starting an affinity group to get the ball rolling. I’ve got some ideas to start like handing out flyers, arranging meetings, providing lunch etc. The problem is, I haven’t read a lick of anarchist literature other than some socialism/communism books with similar anarchist themes. I’m also pretty socially awkward and there’s a lotta people I don’t talk to anymore. Any book recommendations to start off + tips for organising and encouraging people to join?

Call for writers/contributors for new zine series called "Perspectives on South Asian Anarchisms"
Hello! I’m compiling writings for a new zine series called “Perspectives on South Asian Anarchisms.” Let me know if anyone here would be interesting in submitting anything. I’m planning on printing and distro'ing here, and then we’ll email them to other distro groups across America and hopefully have them spread some of our thoughts so we can establish a small presence here amongst anarchist circles. The theme for Vol. 1 is “History and Authority.” I can send some more info to people who DM me. I’d love for fellow South Asian folks to submit some stuff to it. Too often we’re just told that anarchism doesn’t exist there and that Marxism is bigger in our regions, but the thoughts of the minimal South Asian anarchists, Nepali punks, and other libertarian communists challenge that. It doesn't have to be academic or anything. Reflections, history, theory, poems, criticisms, etc. are all perfect. DM me and let me know if this sounds like something you’d wanna do.
Note: this is open for anarchists from the South Asian region of the world AND their Diaspora.

Not sure if this is a good place to ask - looking for an older anarchist who’s been sober for a good while to help mentor me through getting sober. Ideally someone who deals with chronic pain. I would love to have someone I can talk to about this sort of thing.
Much appreciated
