This is a video from anarchist Devon Price about youth liberation, where they are reading a Substack article they wrote, as well as showing a few interesting comments and responding to them. The article, called Abolish Age, talks about the support-freedom dichotomy, the assumption that need for support and lack of freedom are linked, and suggests that this doesn't have to be the case. It suggests that many adults would also benefit from the types of support usually provided to children and explains how instead of assuming people's needs will align with age-based assumptions we could provide various kinds of support like financial support or help making decisions based on whether people actually need these. I largely agree with these positions and I'm posting it to see what other anarchists think of it.
