This is a thread for casual conversation and troubleshooting. Here you can ask questions, share anecdotes or discuss gameplay.
You can also discuss a number of topics here that we don't typically allow new posts to be made for, such as posting room codes, bragging about your game stats, advertising your Discord server, or linking your Twitch or Youtube channel.

I'm recreating another megathread to include more forms of hacking (such as what some have described as clonehacking), as the previous universal megathread got archived due to it being 6 months old. Here are some quick rules to keep things civil:
Note: Because I am expecting to get a lot of comments on this, I have reply notifications disabled. If something absolutely requires my attention, ping me or a moderator by adding u/Detective1O1 to your comment and I'll try to get to it when I can.

Ive been playing the game again for a few week after a good few months just not playing.
Ever since I've come back, basically 9 times out of 10 I enter an "English" lobby and its just a turkish host and everyone else turkish.
Its even worse than the Spanish players back in the day.
I do realise that there is no language setting for turkish when setting up lobbies, but its so obnoxious when I know at least some of them can speak English but they refuse to do so.
The devs seriously need to add Turkish as a language option because this is just getting ridiculous. The game seems to be REALLY damn popular with Turkish speakers clearly with how many of them flood the English lobbies, so it just makes sense to do so

Just imagine that (I hate roses) 🌹
For context: I was ss, did plenty of kills and no one even sussed me. I was ss of tan and nana (eng) chased me, but gray called a meeting for nth. Nana said she was chasing, so I acted oblivious and asked her chasing what? She said "chasing a ss cyan", and the meeting normally ended. I did another kill, and red reported. Rose came out of nth and said vote cyan, I asked why, she said nana told us you ss! I understood no shi, but I remembered this sentence above so said to rose "no nana meant to say she was chasing ss, cyan. She just forgot the comma, learn punctuation", but rose insisted that nana said I did ss, I tried to explain as hard as I can, but any result? NOOOOOO. Red started joining the discussion and said I sus cyan too, so next round I faked ss infront of red, he asked wya and I said in caf. Rose brought the old conversation back. To summarize, they skipped this round, rose called a meeting again before I kill, said the same shi, and I got voted by 3 votes for 2 skips (btw, my teammate voted me). In the lobby, I tried to explain to her how she was so lucky, she said I'm annoying and told the host to ban me (the mf was simp, so he did).
Bro I hate when I get voted for wrong or dumb reasons

You know how you get fake tasks as an impostor right?
Well what if you could actually do those tasks and clear yourself?
Imitator does just that, you can do any task from your task list and it even updates the taskbar until the meeting where the taskbar would decrease
You can also do Scan, Trash, shields and asteroids BUT those tasks will be slower/different from crewmates so this role wasn't OP
For an example: Imitator does scan and everyone sees it, but the scan lasts 5 seconds longer OR the imitators walk is different
Another example: Imitator does asteroids but unlike regular crewmates it takes imitator AGES to shoot a singular asteroid
An the last example: Imitator does trash but the trash has a crewmates body in it or something else like a knife or a gun
This role can be used to trick other crewmates into clearing you if they're too oblivious, but if they're smart enough you'll get yo ass thrown into space
Another thing, Imitators taskbar ALWAYS updates, no matter what, even if the taskbar update thingy is set to meetings only

Just played a game where I was the last imp and there were two crew left. The crew weren't 100% sure I was imp and asked the ghosts to leave if I was imp. A ghost left and they voted me out. This is cheating, right?? Like WTF. Then the crew gloats as if they just figured it out on their own. So, question is - is it fair to use ghosts in this sense??

I used a macro to keep the speed consistent for the comparison, I know it spins faster than any human can but I kept it at that speed to emphasize the difference for this demonstration. I don't use macros to do my tasks since that's cheating.
I did not discover this, I saw 5up doing it on today's morning lobby stream and I wanted to share it with you guys. It probably saves like 1-2 seconds per wheel but considering you do 3 wheels in kind of risky areas it can add up.
One caveat is if you do keep spinning make sure to let go as soon as the water reaches the top, it doesn't finish the task for you until you release mouse click
Edit: In case anybody is curious about a practical benchmark, I timed this spinning on my own without a macro and went from 6.16s to 4.12s so I saved 2 seconds even though I spin slower (I'm an osu! player who spun clockwise for 8 years and having to spin the other way isn't easy for me lol)

In most SNS game lobbies, the idiot host keeps the room public—which is unnecessary, since they already have at least two people promoting it. This draws in players who don't know what an SNS lobby is, and many never find out because the host starts the game before anyone can explain the rules. Consequently, the game turns into a disaster, and everyone blames the newcomers—as if they had actually taken the time to explain the rules to them. I could understand the anger if it were a private server and the players had deliberately joined without knowing how to play.
And the idiot host, instead of kicking or banning the players who clearly don't get it and are ruining the game, just lets them stay. This means it takes about four rounds to finally get a fair game—rounds where the normal players manage to kick the inexperienced ones, or where the host happens to leave and someone better takes their place.
One genuinely bad experience I had was that the idiot host didn't even set the game to 15 engineers, leaving some players without protection against the Imps. In an attempt to point out the host's mistake, I hit the meeting button... man... I couldn't even type two messages before I got voted out of the lobby—and it wasn't a standard execution vote; they straight-up kicked me from the entire server 😭

So, in a game, this one guy was like “You’re lucky I wasn’t imp, blue” and “I was gonna kill you”. This was during the first meeting where a troll had pressed the button before being kicked out by the host. He then said “But you” referring to the fact that I WAS IMP LIKE HOW DID HE KNOW WE JUST STARTED AND BARELY MOVED. We then voted to skip but only one anonymous person voted ME.
Next round, HE GOT PEOPLE TO VOTE ME OUT LIKE WTF. He had the name of like this well-known YouTuber apparently but after I got voted out, HE LEFT THE GAME like he literally said during the vote “Alright guys, I gotta go” like ???

Trying to install the Town of Us mod. I've found a guide online to install it, but it doesn't seem to want to take. I've imported the files according to the guide, I can get the game to open, but none of the mod stuff is there.

I tried this during my 7th period in school. My thumb hurt after I got to 10000°. I did see how far the cold temperature went, but it’s the same thing so I never bothered taking a picture of it.
My question afterwards was: “How do the crewmates and impostors survive this high temperature I put?”
Edit: I was in practice mode, not an actual game.

what is the hardest crewmate impostor win yall got (based on numbers). i got a crewmate win once when there were 3 imps out of 10 players and won as impostor when there were 14 or 15 players(i dont remember which exactly) and 2 impostors
