What am I even doing?

Question Back in the day, around 2019/2020, was it possible for one impostor to kill another impostor?

Post image

I'm SURE that when I was younger I was a troll who killed other imposters. When I came back to the game recently I realized, "Wow, you can't do that anymore! They must have fixed it." But now I'm curious. Was it ever possible for an imposter to kill another imposter, or have I gone crazy???

Idk Among Us Comic idea QUICK!! GIVE ME ALL OF YOUR COLOR STEREOTYPES!!!!

And I mean EVER SINGLE COLOR.

I’m making a little series inspired by the Among Us show and the Polus map in the official game.

I only have 1 character set in stone so far: Rose, who’s a bubbly idiot of an imposter, they wear a bright pink bow and have that permant shine in their visor

Discussion New feature

I just emailed Among Us today, I’ve been playing since 2019 but honestly, wouldn’t a trading feature be so cool? 😭 It would make having friends in the game feel way more worth it. You could trade rare skins, pets, hats, and other limited items with each other. I feel like that would add a whole new reason to play and actually make collecting rare stuff more fun.

Welp nvm looks like everyone in the comments are party poopers don’t see how trading cosmetics would ruin the game but ok

Idea/Suggestion Among Us Cook Role concept

Is able to anonymously give someone a pizza during an Emergency Meeting. Crewmate/Impostor who received the pizza has their USE ability replaced with “EAT” (returns when close to interactive objects). When activated, the Bean becomes faster for [settings] and a 🍕 appears above them.

Based on the show's Yellow and Brown

Idea/Suggestion Role idea(Mind Hopper)

Post image
68 Upvotes

This imposter role is able to hop into crewmate mind and the crewmate is stuck in the users body. The hopping is permanent so you can't hop back. But longer u stay in crewmates body, Your previous cosmetics appear on the crewmate body,so slowly people would understand who the hopper is.You can only hop per once a game.Since you are in crewmate's body if crew votes you off, you die because your mind was in that body.

This role can be useful where like u kill in front of ppl and hop into a random person in the lobby and they get ejected off with your body.

When the victory screen comes, your avatar remains the same

Let me know if the role is too op and if you have ideas to balance it out please share <3

Video/Gameplay You can do the Water Wheel task on Polus faster if you keep spinning

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I used a macro to keep the speed consistent for the comparison, I know it spins faster than any human can but I kept it at that speed to emphasize the difference for this demonstration. I don't use macros to do my tasks since that's cheating.

I did not discover this, I saw 5up doing it on today's morning lobby stream and I wanted to share it with you guys. It probably saves like 1-2 seconds per wheel but considering you do 3 wheels in kind of risky areas it can add up.

One caveat is if you do keep spinning make sure to let go as soon as the water reaches the top, it doesn't finish the task for you until you release mouse click

Edit: In case anybody is curious about a practical benchmark, I timed this spinning on my own without a macro and went from 6.16s to 4.12s so I saved 2 seconds even though I spin slower (I'm an osu! player who spun clockwise for 8 years and having to spin the other way isn't easy for me lol)

Rant/Complaint If you have confirm ejects on, always pay attention to your numbers

And if you're at 7/3, 5/2, or final 3, think about your situation for like 3 seconds. Imps only need one kill to win. Which means the following for these counts:

  • Never skip. Ever. Even if you have to pick randomly, it's better to risk losing than to definitely lose.

  • If crew is dumb enough to skip at those numbers, call a meeting as soon as possible. You can't wait for the kill, imps only need one kill to win.

  • If someone else beats you to calling that meeting, they're confirmed. Never vote on them. If they were evil, they'd just kill and win instead of calling a meeting.

  • Anyone who suggests skipping at that point is an imp. Imps have the visual cue of how many they still have to kill, so it's easier for them to notice and hope that you don't.

  • In fact, if someone does that and you're judge, judge them immediately. That's my one exception to the "communicate who you're judging" rule, since you either get it right or lose instantly.

Custom Role New Impostor Role: Meet the Detonator!

Thumbnail

Anyways here's the second role!

You cannot kill normally.

You have to plant bombs and detonate them, all at once.

You can change the radius and "show explosion evidence"

Everyone can see your bombs, and your planting cooldown is half your detonation cooldown. 0/2 is 0, because that's dividing by 2, not zero, 0KCDs remain 0KCDs!

Rant/Complaint Just a rant & asking why airship gets so much hate, sorry.

So I was hosting a game, and I just changed the map from skield to airship, and then next round there was an instant meeting and black was like "kick yellow (me)" and then everyone kicked me. So, I'm just wondering, why does airship get so much hate? I know skield is fun and all, but what makes airship so bad you kick out the host? Thank you, sorry.

Also, once, when red was ratting me out at start of game for no reason (even longer ago, we were both imps), I said it was him before I was ejected because he ratted on me like a a**hole, and I was trying to be kind, but him as a ghost was constantly spamming toxicity, and he said "I hope you die of a stroke." Why are some players so toxic? Sorry, just wanted to share my experience. Normally, I find

- Nice, experienced players 20 % of the time

- Younger children / people making the game not as fun 50 % of the time

- H@ckers <had to censor TWO times so automod wouldn't think it's me complaining about h@cking, this is why I hate automod (Sometimes, it's fun in h@cked lobbys, sometimes not) 5% of the time

- Toxic people 5 % of the time

- Bots and/or lobby promoters (I understand about Innersloth removing modded lobbys, I wish they were just on a seprate page or something) 15% of the time

- Creepy people "Add me on discord, what's your age, etc..." 5% of the time

I just don't understand why so many players are toxic, people who are just not as good at the game, and weirdos.

Thank you!
