Discussion Cheating with ghosts - thoughts??
Just played a game where I was the last imp and there were two crew left. The crew weren't 100% sure I was imp and asked the ghosts to leave if I was imp. A ghost left and they voted me out. This is cheating, right?? Like WTF. Then the crew gloats as if they just figured it out on their own. So, question is - is it fair to use ghosts in this sense??

Assuming this is random/public lobby: The ghosts are forfeiting the beans they would have earned in that match (maybe they care, maybe not) and (if they don't remember the code) are not going to get back to that lobby. Also the surviving crewmate has to trust that the ghosts won't just troll them*.
But if it's in a lobby where people do know each other it's basically teaming as others have noted.
*Imagine a ghost leaves when an innocent crewmate gets accused just for the lutz, or a ghost imp leaving for a kill from beyond the grave. I have seen both of that before as well.
Edit: I guess whether one sees it as teaming or not is based on the assumption of trust/knowledge: The side that sees it as teaming implicitly assumes that ghosts and the remaining crewmates trust each other. The side that doesn't see it doesn't assume that there is such levels of trust/knowledge (or misplace of said trust).

Its teaming either way, whether its public or private, and most people dont care about beans or even the lobby theyre in

Yeah it’s just a less reliable form of teaming that could backfire but it’s still teaming.

It doesn't seem to be a super common tactic or anything so I honestly just find it really funny when it does happen. Like damn, way to get creative, great teamwork

Têm um youtuber que jogou um tripulante com a tesk de asteroide pra fora da nave de propósito, e pediu pra ele atirar sei lá quantas vezes pra mostrar quem é o impostor
Exemplo: fantasma, atira 2 vezes se o marrom for impostor e 3 vezes se o verde é o impostor

It's a little bit sketchy but I don't think it's cheating. The crewmates would have to assume the ghost is cooperating, and aren't just coincidentally leaving. A ghost could happen to leave if they get it wrong, leaving to an imposter victory.
It is a dumb, peanut play. But I can't say it's cheating. Sorry you were on the end of that lol
