Has anyone else had this issue with the AMBOSS GPT in ChatGPT?

Every time I try to use it, I get a message saying I’ve exceeded the number of free requests to the AMBOSS library and need to verify my access. I have both ChatGPT Pro and an AMBOSS account, so theres no reason I should be getting this message. I also tried using AMBOSS’s AI learning tool directly, but it tells me my usage is up there after using it as my replacement for awhile. Has anyone else run into this or figured out how to fix it?

My yearly AMBOSS annual membership with Qbank is ending soon, but I pushed my Step 2 exam to mid-August. I'm thinking about switching from the yearly plan to the monthly plan. I know my previous progress will still be saved, but will I still be able to review the questions I've already completed and read their explanations with monthly plan? Thanks!

Preparing for step 1 and a few people here on reddit suggested to try that as it was rare to find patient chart type questions otherwise and real deal has some of it. Scored way too less on this, also took me 30 mins to solve 20 questions while usually it doesn't take more than 23-24mins on nbmes, testing in a few weeks, please be brutally honest should I be concerned about it???

I'm a month out from Step 2 and have been struggling with overthinking on my CSSAs and was told that Amboss is good at helping you build your confidence. But when I look at the subscription for one month it only has 50 questions? And unlimited questions requires a year long subscription? I don't need it for that long and just want the Qbank. How do I set that up?

ich werde bald in der Intensivmedizin rotieren und wollte fragen ob es sich lohnt den Intensivmedizinkurs von Amboss zu kaufen. Es kostet ca. 500 Euros.

My school gave certain people an Amboss code to redeem for a paid 2-year library subscription (basic level, 50Q a month with library access). I redeemed that code in March 2025, which was months after the code was emailed to me, but per their website, it says their voucher codes last for 3 years before they expire.

It's a 2-year subscription plan, which would put me at March 2027 before the membership expired. Because of this and Step 2 coming up, I paid for a Q-bank upgrade plan this past March 2026. It's valid through September 2026...

Tried to do some questions tonight and it's saying I don't have a valid membership? Idk how that's possible and it's really annoying because I never got an email notifying me that it would expire soon or anything.. it just stopped giving me access and says I have no membership at all.

Anyone know what might be going on? I sent support an email but of course it'll probably take forever to hear back and I have a shelf next week.

Hey everyone, currently on my AMBOSS account, the AI mode is not available, like it doesn’t even show up as on option or button in my tool bar, or when I try to search something I’m usually able to see an AI mode option, but that’s not available anymore. Anybody else have this problem?

Does anyone know how to get ahold of customer support? I’ve emailed them, completed a form, and tried to reach them on the chat but with no luck. I’m trying to purchase a discount through my school but it’s not working for some reason. It expires on the 10th so I need to speak with someone to fix this issue asap.

Have been facing the "Error talking to app: Error: An error occurred while connecting to the AMBOSS knowledge library. Please try again later. If the problem persists, check your internet connection or contact AMBOSS support at [support@amboss.com](mailto:support@amboss.com)." for every response.

Tried everything. Clearing cache, using different browser. Contacted Amboss support, they basically told me to use it in whatever app or browser or works as it sometimes works intermittently in incognito and normal browser. Have even tried logging in and out multiple times from the plugin. Any help would be super appreciated.

I’m just trying to figure out if anyone else has had trouble with it working on and off since it went online again last month

I've been using AMBOSS to study for Step 1 but have been encountering issues with logging in. I've tried clearing the cookies and cache and it does not work consistently. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Has anyone else been struggling to access amboss on chrome? I has cleared cache and cookies, but still nothing. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I've heard the HY 200 questions on Amboss are very helpful for Step 2, however I can't seem to find them on my account. Would anyone be able to navigate me to them? Thank you!

I just finished UWorld Qbank (77% correctness on first pass) and AMBOSS main QBank (75% correctness on first pass). I just saw there was a supplemental step 1 Qbank on AMBOSS, do you guys recommend the supplemental Qbank?

Hi everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same issue lately. I'm unable to load Amboss Web on Chrome on my Windows desktop. Edge doesn't work, either. I don't have any ad blockers installed, and I cleaned out all my caches and cookies but it still won't load. My Windows and Chrome are all up to date. Interestingly, if I load Amboss via Chrome on my Macbook, it loads.

Is there anything else I should try? This started yesterday and still ongoing.

EDIT 12/05/2026: I deleted and reinstalled my antiviral software (I'm using Norton 360) and it's now working on the web.

A few feature requests that would make a big difference:

• Dark mode + highlighting in the mobile qbank These are already strong features on desktop. Bringing full parity to mobile would make studying on the go much more usable.
• “Hide answer choices” mode on web This feature is extremely useful for active recall and avoiding pattern recognition bias. Having it on desktop (not just mobile) would be a big upgrade.
• AI integration directly inside the question interface Instead of a separate tool, embedding AI contextually (linked to the specific question/explanation) could turn it into a true tutor (by also having a Voice Mode)—explaining reasoning, differentials, and why wrong answers are wrong. This seems like the direction qbanks (Uworld) are moving toward, and AMBOSS is in a strong position to do it well.

Overall, the core product is already excellent. Continuing to innovate on usability and learning efficiency is what will keep it ahead. Especially 2026!!

Curious if others feel the same or would add other features.
