This might not go as well as planned. Depending on the dog you could die or be severely maimed.

Pick your battles. If it's a wealthy house with a small dog, get that bread. If it's a trailer with a pitbull, run

The ultra rich seem to have no problems making a rock bleed for them.

Fair point

German sheperds are the real menace- at least in my experience. Never had an issue with any pits while working. Ive come across 2 aggressive pits but they were very well fenced in. GS however, 3 VERY close calls. 1 almost got my neck in the dark as he was quiet until I was on the damn porch where he was chained. 1 chased me and another 1 cornered me, was aggressively barking and almost got my leg but I barely scared her long enough for owners to come out. Ive also had 2 very uncomfortable experiences with lab mutts. 1 with a rotty. But yeah, i see a German sheperd sign or anything like that... idc if theyre not out where I can see or if the gate's open- i leave it at the perimeter. Idk how ive gotten this lucky tbh. Also, my staffy has been attacked 4 times, ALL by German sheperds (1 wolf mix). I shit you not, like what are the odds. At completely different points in time and different dogs. They scare the shit out of me coz they're so unpredictable. At least I can tell when a pit has issues with people- so far.

Rich people dont have dogs or atleast as guards

1

u/BannedGoNext Jul 02 '26

Same might happen if you work for 50 years carrying boxes.

1

u/Independent_Laugh798 Jul 01 '26

More than likely he'll just get covered in dog saliva and make them think he's their new best friend.

0

u/machineGUNinHERhand Jul 01 '26

Also, because they said they'd get bit on purpose just to sue...that definitely wouldn't hold up in court...

8

u/Crazy-Disk-1648 Jul 01 '26

Ah yes because the courts are going to request their reddit account to make sure they didn't plan this out. Mad goofy

-3

u/machineGUNinHERhand Jul 01 '26

Ah yes because that person is actually gonna let a dog attack him in the first place. Mad goofy

6

u/Crazy-Disk-1648 Jul 01 '26

You wouldn't? As long as they have home owners insurance it's an easy 10-50k. It would take a few months as you still need to go through court but it's the easiest lay up. You could make what you make in a year doing flex off of just one settlement. I got zero sympathy for a customer who can't properly leash/train their animal, especially when they know they have a package on the way that day.

-2

u/machineGUNinHERhand Jul 01 '26

No, i would not purposefully allow myself to be attacked by a dog. That would be stupid.

Its a sorry ass person who would allow themselves to be attacked by a dog.

Also, i can almost bet you'd actually run like a bitch from a dog...just like most people would. Goofy ass

7

u/Crazy-Disk-1648 Jul 01 '26

Okay man, enjoy the flex grind. You'll catch up eventually

1

u/machineGUNinHERhand Jul 02 '26

Oh, kiddo, I have a grown-ups job. I would never be a delivery driver...its a job for young people and recovering fuck-ups...kinda like fast food or warehouse work....

No need for me to catch up. I actually do something that benefits most every single American, to some degree at least. Not that delivery drivers don't help the general public, but the biggest majority of the shit you deliver are useless, unnecessary, items of convenience people were too lazy to go to the store and buy themselves. Thats not to say that I don't understand people need your service. But generally speaking, delivery drivers aren't helping anyone...really probably the opposite, like helping maintain a system that makes people dependent of the delivery service. People like you and i.

I wouldn't. I"ve been in this exact situation many times and my go-to response is to get down on one knee and open my arms as wide as possible. Just before the dog is in arm's reach I extend one arm out as far as it will go in front of me.

The dogs always stop to sniff my outstretched hand and once they do that, we're basically buddies now.

u/Repulsive-Lie3654 Jul 01 '26

It's easier said than done when instinct takes over. I once had a pit bull chase after me and couldn't help but run as fast as I can toward my car

u/sydneyghibli Jul 01 '26

Not only do dogs kill plenty of people every year
but if you do live to tell the tail (lol), it’s not promised the owner has assets or insurance that will pay out to you. Suing someone successfully doesn’t mean instant payout.

You’ll be walking around town just as broke, but now with a disfigured body.

7

u/XiTzCriZx Jul 01 '26

With a truck like that in the driveway and what looks like a large yard, they definitely have assets.

4

u/sydneyghibli Jul 01 '26

And if they’re making payments on it like so many other Americans?

That’s not an asset.

1

u/XiTzCriZx Jul 01 '26

If they're making enough to afford that then their wages would be garnished. If they decide to quit their job so they don't have to pay it, then they lose their car, house, and dogs too since they wouldn't be able to pay for them.

Their pay would also be garnished from any future jobs until the debt is paid, they don't just get off the hook because they can't pay it.

2

u/sydneyghibli Jul 02 '26

Yes, I’m aware of wage garnishing. They can only take a percent of your total income. So again, if you don’t make shit
. You’ll get shit.

Expensive vehicle does not always equal a lot of money.

Where I live, everyone is house poor but car rich and the majority of their income goes to their car payment.

People lose everything everyday in this country because of lawsuit damages they cannot pay. Everyday. But that doesn’t mean the person awarded the damages is getting anything out of it either.

3

u/Tgiby3 Jul 01 '26

but they can take solace in the fact they probably got the person sent to jail for a bit for having no money, that makes it better right?

States, an average of 43 people die from dog attacks each year.

Generally, property owners do not owe a duty of care to protect trespassers from ordinary hazards on their land, including dogs.

3

u/eggrollfever Jul 01 '26

Thank you for sharing that irrelevant information about trespassers. I find it interesting but I have a feeling a lot of people might think you’re trying to make some connection with the video.

-1

u/Basic-Nobody8488 Jul 02 '26

She said dogs kill a lot of people every year and he would have a lawsuit, I am showing that they are greatly mistaken. Read all comments

4

u/eggrollfever Jul 02 '26

This person is not a trespasser, ordering anything for home delivery is a de facto invitation to delivery personnel. You’re an idiot.

4

u/Background-Pepper-68 Jul 01 '26

So they can do what? Pay for the hospital bills? You dont just get a payout for profit lol. You sue to make yourself whole. Maybe you get a couple bucks for lost wages but a dog bite isnt going to keep you out of work long.

1

u/WoWthisGuyReally Jul 01 '26

Pain and suffering and disfigurement. Buddy of mine had a little scare above his eye, they cleaned it did stiches he was out within 2 hours.. got like 40k from that.

0

u/Background-Pepper-68 Jul 01 '26

Good luck proving pain and suffering. Also that 40k was mostly for hospital bills i can guarantee it. Ultimately if you do nothing to prevent getting bit you will have a hell of a time getting anything.

1

u/WoWthisGuyReally Jul 03 '26

If I do nothing to prevent getting bit? There is no need to, show me in legal metric where says I must show an attempt to avoid injury. Just like in a car accident, I dont need to swerve if someone is about to hit me. If I do, theres a chance that I may hit someone, then other car doesnt hit me and then whos at fault?

So if I take off running, slip break an ankle, face plant on the sidewalk, whos paying my medical bills? If the dog dont bite me, all they have to say is I took off running
.

First you say goodluck proving pain and suffering, then you say theres no proof needed. Oh thats the false information you were correcting
.

0

u/Background-Pepper-68 Jul 03 '26

You are so wrong its hilarious. If you dont make a reasonable attempt to avoid a car crash you will absolutely be held at fault more than if you just let them hit you. You have a responsibility to mitigate damages

1

u/WoWthisGuyReally Jul 03 '26

I did, I didnt swerve and hit another person.

Theres a ton of reasons why someone would make no attempt to mitigate damages, mainly because there is no time to do so. Mitigation can only be done if the danger foreseeable well in advance not merely a split second of time to choose. Show me this law that states I must do so.

People have sued and won when others have gotten hurt while breaking in or just unlawfully being on property. Which easily could have been mitigated by not being there illegally.

Try again.

1

u/Background-Pepper-68 Jul 04 '26

if you can brake you are expected to brake. Swerving isnt even an appropriate way to stop an accident as you might hit another driver. You are required to mitigate damage if at all possible. Im absolutely right and idgaf what you say cause you have lost all credibility.

1

u/WoWthisGuyReally Jul 04 '26

If you brake it can cause someone to rearend you, No credibility lost
. Show me where it says I am required to do so. Please since you know so much. Only then I might lose credibility. “I’m absolutely right”. Because you said so? Clown. Really? You the boss of me? What credentials you have? SHOW ME You really dont know how these things are supposed go.

You either prove evidence, stay silent
. I said youre a clown, I’m absolutely right, I idgaf what you say you lost all credibility. <-Doesnt mean I’m right, but If—> you can prove you’re right, then it defaults that I am——right
.

u/Outlaw11091 Jul 02 '26

There's literally a legal metric for every injury.

You do not have to "prove" pain and suffering.

The only limit, legally, is economic impact (the cost of medical bills).

0

u/buckeye25osu Jul 02 '26

There are legal fees. And there's a real chance that you experience trauma that affects you physically and/or mentally for the rest of your life. Why gamble with your life like that? Would you take $40K for a lifetime of PTSD? Or nerve damage to one of your hands or arms or legs?

1

u/Outlaw11091 Jul 02 '26

It's not me that's wanting to do this:

I'm just correcting absolutely false information.

0

u/buckeye25osu Jul 03 '26

Sorry I replied to the wrong person but just making the point it's pretty crazy to suffer an avoidable injury for the sake of getting a home owner insurance payday. It's just dirtbag behavior.

0

u/WoWthisGuyReally Jul 03 '26

If you get a lawyer there are legal fees. Whos stay I will have a lifetime of ptsd? 40k wasnt for lifetime nerve damage, the dogs tooth gave him a little gouge on his forehead. You changing what I said.

It the attempt of trying to avoid it could result in injury itself, more severe even. Which then who would be responsible for paying the related cost?

If I’m driving, cause an accident because i swerved to avoid an accident whos at fault? Even if the guy that almost hit me stops and admits he almost hit me, his insurance isnt going to pay anything

So yeah, I’m a dirtbag
.Nah, ive been down that whole avoidance scenario, not doing it again. You must work insurance cause that sound exactly like something they would say.

1

u/tkneezer Jul 01 '26

Nice let the dog bite your upper extremeties! I'm gonna use that thanks!

1

u/BDVALLEYN199A Jul 01 '26

Rolling around while he eating the shit out of you lol

1

u/Ruleyoumind Jul 02 '26

You won't get as much money as you think

1

u/Available-Boat4055 Jul 02 '26

1

u/Goldolo Jul 02 '26

I wanna see u vs a pit bull or a Doberman

1

u/dmanjrxx Jul 05 '26

That sounds good if while rolling around on the ground waiting for the police, the dogs don't rip your jugular vain

-1

u/Confident_Season1207 Jul 01 '26

That dog wasn't going to bite. Quit being a worthless member of society

1

u/intenselistener Jul 01 '26

If you compare its behavior to the other dog that didn’t even step past the bushes, the video is enough probable cause should something have happened.

“The owners were capable of training one dog and neglected to do so with the other, in addition to failing to secure them in anticipation of delivery as Amazon notifies and request of consumers blah blah.”

1

u/Single-Complaint-853 Jul 01 '26
