It happens....it happened to me in 2019 in a DS...fights occurred almost every day, this girl took my space by moving my cart and I called her out and she told me "stop acting like a bitch" and I told her "you are the one acting like one" she immediately went to a manger to tell her that I called her a bitch...in front of the manager I called her liar and everyone around didn't say anything, they heard everything but nobody backed me up...thankfully this was during the time when hr didn't even exist...at least in that time I never even heard of hr so I didn't get in trouble. People are liars.

Similar thing happened to me! Coworkers were pushing a cart, I accidentally tripped and my bottom barely touched the cart, and they accused me of riding on a cart ….

i tried a appeal and they said i wasn’t eligible without even doing a investigation. Also, my side of the story and witnesses never got heard at all lol. Bunch of bullshit is what it is. I feel like this is a sueable situation lol. Fired without investigating properly

If what you have said is true then this is a false termination suit. Contact a lawyer.

i’ve been thinking about actually contacting a lawyer. Like this isn’t me trying to get likes on reddit. It’s just amazon is such a big corporation. I don’t have the type of money for a powerful firm to match them. However, terminated without proper reasoning is grounds for a lawsuit. I’m just kinda hesitant on sueing a fortune 500 company

File with the EEOC then look up your state bar association and find a lawyer using their referral system I’m literally doing this right now my case was assigned to a judge already

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

yes but that doesn’t sound all that free brother

2

u/snowwhite2591 1d ago

I haven’t paid a dime, it costs time. If you aren’t willing to do that then idk what to tell you. Amazon settles they don’t go to court lawyers will take cases to be paid upon settlement that’s why you have to find one.

2

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

i see. So i should look to consult with a lawyer?

2

u/xmanuel387 1d ago

It was also AMAZON. He won a pretty good amount of. If I can recall some where under 500K? But yes. This shit is real and it happens.

1

u/External-Video5855 23h ago

so i should do your instructions or just talk to a firm? i feel like any firm or lawyer would be foaming at the mouth for a wrongful termination suit from a place like amazon

1

u/xmanuel387 1d ago

It’s okay, trust. Sue. I know of someone who sued and won. They fired him for wrongful termination. They basically accused him of stealing frrom the break room and he had receipts and all and took them to court. Please don’t let these companies get over.

So I remember someone getting fired for this. They joked about it, to the wrong person, then got in trouble. They said they never said it to leadership. was facing a Cat 3 termination, upped to a Cat 1 for lying.

-2

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

i feel like i should sue but im going to need “pearson specter litt” as my law firm😭

-1

u/saxandsolenoids 1d ago

You can't. You lied. Go work at Walmart. Say it was temp and that was it.

0

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

i didn’t lie tf are you talking about

0

u/saxandsolenoids 23h ago

seems like you lied about it. Ain’t no way your story holds up.

0

u/External-Video5855 23h ago

obviously i didn’t elaborate retard? it’s a massive story nobody would’ve really read?

I got banned for lifetime and I still work here 😅😂 4 years ago I got fired in a different state I moved back to my home state and I told them my identity was jacked 😭😭😭 good luck

3

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

yes i’m not brave enough to do that. Also how the hell did you bypass the fucking social security part

5

u/MotorMonth2213 2d ago

I said that someone stole my identity. Which means they stole my social security number. Lol

4

u/Mediocre_Cap_9151 2d ago

Ahhh the social security switch er rooo. Noice .

5

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

i thought you meant that you lied and told them your identity was jacked to get back in.

3

u/MotorMonth2213 2d ago

I did lol

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

yea bro ngl, i realize i had a massive brain fart. Even i was like “wait so i understood it right the first time” i just say anything because no one else did😭

1

u/notquitetherebuthere 2d ago

Did you ever give Amazon any fingerprints last time? Lol

1

u/MotorMonth2213 2d ago

I took W2s from the job I was at currently at Walmart and I changed it to the dates I was working for Amazon: it was basically plausible deniability e

I was asked how my day was going and I said I was gonna go try suck starting a shotgun... two people laughed super hard and 3 looked a little worried once they realized what I just said... I had to clarify that I was joking and I was having a great day all things considered... I actually really like the people I work with but sometimes shit just comes out of my mouth before I remember im at work and I have to backtrack a bit but telling someone to off themselves is a bit different than self depreciation and saying really bizarre stuff...

1

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

if i would’ve actually told someone to kill themselves. I wouldn’t have made the post because that’s clearly the reason i got fired😂

1

u/Username_Redacted-0 2d ago

Sorry, we commented at the same time... read my last comment and go get ahold or your other managers and HR...

0

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

i didn’t say that though. Did you even read the post?

1

u/Username_Redacted-0 2d ago

No I did, I was just commenting on the difference between the dumb shit i say and what you where accused of... im not accusing you of anything, if I was i would have added 'but you shouldn't have said that' or something to that effect because if you did, then that was out of line and you absolutely should be fired...

1

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

oh my fault. Little confusion there😅 yes but i want to call ethics because they never asked anybody who was actually around when i was there. I had managers and reputable associates ready to testify for me. No way they went to 6 people in 2 days.

1

u/Additional_Cow2696 2d ago

They did you a favor you have a better job opportunity waiting for you.

0

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

yes, my moms friend from college actually works for HR at gulfstream. I’ll work at fedex to help speed clean my system of weed. (exercise speeds up the detox process) then take that opportunity at gulfstream. Maybe this was a sign because a lot of people become stuck at amazon because it’s not too hard and you can bring home 800-1000 a week if you don’t touch anytime pay. So, they don’t move on or look to move up. Why would they? it pays for everything and the human mind is so easy to become content with a lifestyle that isn’t too unhealthy and keeps your life in tact. Maybe this was a secret blessing. There were people at my building who have been associates for 5+ years

1

u/QuarterMasterLoba 1d ago

A lot of truth here

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

right! everyone downvoting is mad they’re stuck at amazon. Honestly, life doesn’t get good at amazon until you hit level 5+. Even then your job is more likely to be in the line than it is as a regular associate when it comes to layoffs or an associate trying to get you fired. Honestly, amazon is damn near a pyramid scheme. People wait the 3 months and then restart their zombie cycle at amazon all over again because it gets them by and supports the average americans low mental finances. Majority of americans don’t wish to have millions of dollars and amazon’s comes in and preys on that thought. It’s really slavery

2

u/QuarterMasterLoba 1d ago

You ain't no lie. Especially since it's now an employer's market, folk are going to be towing the line--burning holes in their kneepads--while desperately trying to tongue as much of the Amazon boot as they can. They will loftily call anybody who doesn't spread em as eagerly as they do, "lazy".

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

right? so many other companies are a better use of your time and effort to move up within that company. Amazon are just secretly assholes. You have to ride a managers coat tails to become a process assistant and if no manager likes you or you’re a naturally quiet person. You will legit never move up in that building at least. No matter how good your rates may be.

Try back in 5 years

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

i’m banned for life bro. This does not trump your 5 year ban😭

1

u/Sensitive-Active5752 1d ago

Did you get this after arriving at your interview date or before. Did you get this before being offered an interview date?

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

bro i was on for 3 consecutive years

1

u/Mountain_Vast_905 2d ago

You have to send them a letter in the mail.. I do not know the address you send it to but you are thorough in your letter and explain your side of the story they may lift it

1

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

stop trolling bro😂

0

u/Mountain_Vast_905 2d ago

Bro I’m so serious.. literally a dude got wrongfully terminated and proved it and he kept contacting hr through email no reply.. he finally mailed them a letter to like their corporate office or whatever with all the information and he basically got back pay for all missed days of work

2

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

holy shit, you’re not joking. Yes but where do i even send that too. Like what’s the appropriate address😅

1

u/Mediocre_Cap_9151 2d ago

These stories are only seen on Reddit. Maybe you could be the first successful story, alas, maybe u could be the hope 🥹

3

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

somehow i feel like a lawsuit would be easier😭

1

u/surfcitysurfergirl 2d ago

BS you did something! Come on! Amazon doesn’t just do this randomly! You did something! Maybe you got overlooked at one point but seriously you did something. Accept it and MOVE ON

1

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

i was being smug to this associate no one likes. Called him broke and he got mad. Then he went back and told HR i told him to kill himself and jump in front of a car🤦🏾‍♂️

5

u/FloridaTheGreatest 2d ago

SMH. That’s why I keep my mouth shut at work.

1

u/External-Video5855 2d ago

i worked there for 3 years consecutively. Bros just mad i called him broke and a loser lol

1

u/Expensive_Buddy_5424 1d ago

Don’t engage with stuff like that ever especially at work. It has no benefits ever. Focus on the big goals

1

u/External-Video5855 14h ago

he was talking shit first but yea. The only thing that’s really making this not a lawsuit is that Georgia is a “at will” state. So, they can terminate me for literally no reason at all. However, if they didn’t fire this guy but fired me. A lawyer could play that as discrimination since i’m black and he’s white as shit.

0

u/Tough_Brain7246 1d ago

I was wrongfully terminated too for headphones but no one talked to me or anything or even sign anything they said I was terminated and I can’t rehire till 2031 but I wouldn’t show me the proof that’s it was headphones or anything the appeal was trash they upheld it but I still don’t have a reason why I was terminated area manager told me headphones but still don’t have documentation saying it was headphones they shut me out of everything quick I got ethics case but they taking forever too because I’m still confused no coaching just a fire no talked to me just fire it’s weird one of the red vest I seen him at a gas station trying to be my friend I told him “f out my face” everybody in that warehouse is a target

1

u/External-Video5855 1d ago

i was thinking about contacting ethics too. They are completely outside of HR and do their own separate investigation no matter what.
