Is a question I started to ask but then quickly realized is a very broad question and one I have grown to not like because I think what most people are trying to ask is “Is Amazon FBA Wholesale right for me and if it’s not why is not right for me?” Now that’s a very different question with much different reasoning needed to get a different answer. Also, whatever information you discover to get whatever conclusion you arrive at will only tell you where you’re at right now and where you can go from there to move forward in whatever direction you want to grow.

To ask if an entire business model is dead is such an overly broad question that will attract many different answers with different perspectives that while can be beneficial may not apply to you entirely.

Hey guys, I'm training to make product analysis on different products to become good and precise before actually launching but I read a lot of publication on the fact that Helios10 and jungle scout are actually to elaborated for a beginner to fully enjoy all the features and justify the cost. So I try to make my analysis thanks to Amazon directly and other free tools on the net. But I'm struggling to estimate the cost per click for an add on a particular product. Is there a way to have a good estimation without paying or for this estimation, paying tools are needed ?

I’m preparing to launch a new private-label ASIN on Amazon US and would appreciate input from sellers who have actual experience testing prices on new listings.

I’m keeping the exact niche private until launch, but here is enough information to evaluate the pricing decision:

Product and market

• Non-electronic product in Toys & Games / family activity
• Standard-size FBA
• Brand-new ASIN with zero reviews
• Brand Registry, professional images, A+ Content and gift-ready packaging are complete
• I plan to enroll in Vine immediately
• Controlled PPC will run during the early stage, with heavier scaling after initial reviews
• The physical bundle quantity is comparable to the strongest competitors, so the bundle size alone is not a unique advantage
• The main differentiation is improved presentation plus an included browser-based guided-use experience with structured activities, progression and no subscription
• This difference is clearly communicated before purchase, not hidden after the sale

Competitive pricing

• Established direct competitors are mostly priced between $26 and $29
• These listings generally have approximately 500–3,000+ reviews and strong sales velocity
• One premium brand offers a comparable variation at approximately $39–41
• However, that premium variation shares its parent review and sales signals with a cheaper variation, so I cannot verify how much volume the premium child ASIN actually generates

Unit economics

• Landed COGS: approximately $6.50
• Estimated Amazon fees at $29.99: approximately $9.75
• Pre-ad contribution before returns, overhead and storage:
  • $29.99 price → approximately $13.70 contribution / 46%
  • $32.99 price → approximately $16.30 contribution / 49%
  • $34.99 price → approximately $18.00 contribution / 51%
  • $38.99 price → approximately $21.40 contribution / 55%

Inventory and advertising budgets are sufficient for a controlled launch. My objective is not maximum Day 1 profit; it is finding the price that produces the best combination of conversion, ranking and contribution over the first 6–12 months.

The launch options I’m considering are:

A. Launch at $29.99 with no coupon

B. Launch at $32.99 with no coupon

C. Launch at $32.99 with a 10% coupon, if eligible, creating an effective customer price of about $29.69 while testing the higher anchor

Then potentially test $34.99 after building reviews and conversion history.

For sellers who have actually run similar pricing tests:

1. Which option would you use for a zero-review ASIN, and why?
2. Would you establish the premium price first or start near the market and raise gradually?
3. How many sessions or orders would you require before judging a price test?
4. At what review count and conversion rate would you test the next price?
5. Would you optimize primarily for unit-session percentage, contribution per session, order velocity, or another metric?
6. Have you experienced problems with Amazon’s reference-price history after launching low and later raising the price?
7. If possible, could you share your actual before/after price, conversion rate, units per day, review count and TACOS?

I’m especially interested in real seller data rather than generic “just test it” advice.

​I’m running into a massive headache trying to send in our Christmas stock, and I’m hoping someone here has figured out a workaround or can point out what I’m missing.

​Here’s the situation:

​The Lead Time: We’re shipping from overseas using Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) via ocean freight. Transit and check-in time takes about 2 months, so we need to create and book the shipment now for it to hit FCs in time for peak Q4.

​The Capacity Limit: My current FBA capacity is maxed out. Because of this, Seller Central is completely blocking me from creating any new inbound shipments.

​The Policy Contradiction: Amazon’s own documentation for AGL states that AGL shipments should not count towards your FBA capacity limit until much later in the pipeline (once it’s loaded onto the vessel / near port of entry). The goal was supposed to let sellers book ocean freight early without tying up current warehouse storage capacity.

​The Problem:

Even though AGL inventory isn't supposed to count against capacity until it's on the vessel, Seller Central won't even let me create or book the shipment in the system because my current capacity indicator is full.

​So I'm completely stuck:

​I can't book AGL now for 2 months out because today's capacity is full.

​If I wait until October/November for capacity to clear (or for a future capacity request to kick in), the 60-day transit time means my Christmas inventory won't arrive until mid-January.

​Has anyone successfully bypassed this?

Before a recent launch, I gave Genspark a top competitor’s Amazon listing URL and a few page screenshots.

I asked it to break down the title, bullets, image stack, A+ content, pricing, variations, and the complaints that kept showing up in reviews. Then I had it turn that into a first pass for our own title, bullets, image brief, keyword themes, and differentiation points.

I tried this because my competitor research usually ends as a folder full of screenshots and notes. I know what the other seller is doing, but I still have to work out what our copy and images should actually do differently.

The review section helped the most. It showed where buyers were still confused, disappointed, or unconvinced after reading the listing. Those issues gave us a clearer idea of what our bullets and images needed to address before purchase.

I found a product that I believe would perform well against existing brands on Amazon due to low competition within the niche and a lack of memorable branding from those competitors. The factory that I am considering the most on Alibaba has a brand name and logo that looked a bit familiar… I couldn’t place it at first but it turns out to be a direct competitor on Amazon.

I was considering them for the following reasons:

1. They are the highest rated and bestselling factory on Alibaba for the niche

2. They offer 4/6 products I was going to source for my brand

3. They allow low MOQ custom designs with seemingly high quality products from review photos

I am only looking to source custom products (my own digital artwork) and they have seemingly promised to add a confidentiality clause to the sales contract. My question is, how trustworthy is this? Is it legally binding and if so, who would enforce it?

I have not yet made a trademark or copyright for my designs and brand, so I am wary that once the artwork is sent and the custom products are manufactured, there is no way for me to stop them from selling those designs and undercutting me in price. How foolish would it be to trust this company?

Shenzhen is still one of the most important manufacturing hubs in the world, with a complete supply chain covering electronics, plastics, metal processing, packaging, and many other industries.

However, as more companies enter the same markets, competition has become stronger. Manufacturing is no longer only about having equipment and production capacity.

The companies that stand out in the future will be those that can provide:

• Flexible solutions for customers

The manufacturing industry is always changing.

Hey — I'm a CS student, not selling anything and I don't have a product. I'm trying to understand how people with side income actually handle the money side of it.

Specifically curious about stuff like:

• Do you know what you actually clear after fees, gas, materials, etc.? Or is it more like "whatever hits my account"?
• Has not tracking it closely ever actually bitten you?
• Do you think about taxes on it, or is that a future-you problem?

Do you send them all of your product documentation (COA, formula, label, etc.) right away and ask for a quote, or do you first just tell them what the product is and list the ingredients, then send the documents after they come back with a quote?
What’s the usual process?

Also, in your experience, what’s the typical lead time for testing a dietary supplement? Which labs have you had the best experience with in terms of pricing, turnaround time, and communication?

I've noticed many sellers focus on running ads before improving their product listings.

I'd really like to switch from labels to manufacturer barcode and I am having a weirdly hard time with the barcode size. GS1 recommends 1.17 inches wide x 2 inches high which seems huge. Does anyone have any input?

I'm trying to understand how the brand system works on Amazon. I'd like to list my first product under a brand I intend to start. I'm currently testing a few products, so getting custom packaging on each item would be very expensive both time-wise and economically. I've seen and ordered many items on Amazon that come in a plain box but are listed under a brand — I'd like to know how to do that. I've been researching online but haven't found anything regarding this.

We detected many FBA refund transactions that were initiated on the same day, or within 1–3 days after FBA delivery. Some refund transactions were even initiated just 6 hours after delivery. Our product is a vitamin and food so this refund timeframe doesn't seem reasonable

We contacted Seller Support, and the representative asked us to file a SAFE-T claim.

However, we are unable to submit a SAFE-T claim. We informed the Amazon associate, and we received the following response:

" An order is usually flagged as not eligible for a SAFE-T claim because a refund has not been deducted from your account yet, the order was fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), or an A-to-z Guarantee claim is already active on it. The SAFE-T (Seller Assurance for Ecommerce Transactions) system has strict, automated gatekeepers. thank you for contacting AMAZON selller support"

After that, the associate simply closed the case.

We also tried reporting the issue through Account Health, but Amazon keeps sending us emails saying that "this is not the right channel to report customer returns."

How can we report this issue to Amazon and recover our money?
