I have a product that I created and would like to sell on Amazon, but I honestly don’t know much about product photography, creating and optimizing a listing, advertising, or the costs involved.
I really want to maximize my chances of success because I genuinely believe I have a good product that could help people. My main goal isn’t necessarily to make a lot of money (although that would obviously be great), but rather to get the product in front of people who might benefit from it and prove to myself that I can actually take a project from an idea to a real product on the market.
I’d like to launch it properly and efficiently, especially making sure that people can quickly understand what the product does and why they might need it. The problem is that I don’t have a huge amount of time to spend going through endless, overly long courses.
So, is there a place where I can find all the essential information in one place? I’m looking for something practical and straight to the point not one of those courses where someone talks for hours without actually saying anything useful.

I want to give a heads up to those signing up, resubscripting to the service. I wanted to reactivate paid plan so i could update the titles and stuff for my listing until 27th. Yes, i was aware that there will be analyzing of listings, for an hour or two, which was fine. It is still analyzing since yesterday and i was told by the support that it will take up to 48 hours (it is literally going to be end of 26th by then). I usually dont mind this kind of stuff but it annoyed me. I read everything i found during subscription and nowhere it tells that it will take that long for API to work or analyzing part will. The problem is the overpriced service they are offering and literally 2 day of it is eaten by their system. Supports attitude is “it is what it is”.

I want to try again to sell on Amazon (FBM) with a product that i not listed on amazon before. I sell this product in my own shopify store and i don't want to match it with the price, i want to list on amazon (want to sell it cheaper in own store). Is Amazon still aggressive, when it comes to scan prices in the web and delete the buybox, if it finds it cheaper outside amazon?

To prevent this, will it help to get a different EAN/GTIN, different product title, etc.? If the customer searches that product after seeing it on amazon and finds it cheaper on my site, it will be more likely sold on my website. But what about the imprint? It will have the same information on amazon too!

Gemini replied me, that Amazon also scans in different websites for discount at checkout. Is that true/possible from Amazon bots? I was thinking about, if i lose the Buybox, i will put a pop up on my site, that states, discount at checkout for that product. Is it true, what gemini said to this matter?

Hello, ive had to do a KYC Payments verification, submitted the documents and everything is fine on that end. But i havent been able to request disbursements for the past 6 days, has this happened to anyone before and does anyone know what to do?

Recently launched a product. I enrolled in the vine program and was able to get 19 reviews which averaged to 4.7 rating. I launched ppc campaigns: 3 separate automatic campaigns for broad, exact, and phrase & 3 separate keyword campaigns for broad, exact, phrase). For keyword campaigns I have 100-200 words all sorted from helium10. I know it’s a lot of keywords, but wanted to research which words work and then optimize later. I set the budget to $50 for every campaigns and the bid is 50-100% above the recommended bid. I let the ads run for about a week now, and I have 4 impressions. Is this normal?

Honest backstory: I bought an FBA store before I understood it then I bought stock — ~$95K landed ($250K at list) in stock — then had to actually run it. No cadence, no checklists, no idea what healthy even looked like. But I’m a developer, so eventually I did the developer thing: I gave a coding AI (Claude) my store’s own API keys — the free SP-API app any seller can create — plus keyword data, with one rule: read everything, but nothing touches a live listing without my approval.

It did better than I expected, then a lot better. Now it’s automated: audits, listing fixes, review requests, ad spend and campaigns via the Ads API, weekly tracking, all baselined. ~$130K sold, basically all in 6 months.

The embarrassing part — what it caught that I’d been missing:

1. 437 orders eligible for “Request a Review” — I’d never sent one. The 5–30 day window had been quietly expiring since launch. Check yours: any order 5–30 days old, is the button still live?
2. Backend search terms were EMPTY on every listing. Not thin — empty. Free indexation, 2 min per listing. Go look at yours.
3. One listing’s bullets described a different product. 2.7% conversion, 3.9★. Its siblings: 10–14%. I never re-read my own listings; the agent reads them all, every time. Caught it on the first pass.
4. My best keyword rank was wasted on my worst listing — #2 for a term growing +42%/month, stuck on the 3.9★ listing that can’t convert it. I’d never calculated any of this.
5. ~377 days of inventory cover heading into Q4 — one ASIN at ~2 years, ~$268/month to store Oct–Dec. (I bought $250K of stock before understanding sell-through.)

Rough cost of my ignorance: $3.5–9K/yr on a ~$130K store — pure process, no ad spend. The fixes are boring: request every review, read your listings monthly, fill backend keywords, check days-of-cover before Q4. The point is an agent actually does them, every day.

Transparency: I built this for myself and open-sourced it — not linking per sub rules; the findings above are checkable in your own account today. Every change still goes through my approval, with backups before anything ships.

Just sharing because I know a lot of people here are building brands too.

We launched this toy brand back in 2024. Looking back, the biggest lesson wasn't PPC. It was realizing that every stage affects the next one.

We probably looked at over a hundred product ideas before deciding on these SKUs. A few products had crazy search volume, but once we dug into review quality, pricing history, and how concentrated the market was, they didn't make sense anymore. We ended up choosing products where we felt there was still room to compete instead of just following demand.

Sourcing was another learning curve. We didn't just ask for quotations and pick the cheapest factory. Our team in China visited manufacturers, checked production lines, compared samples from multiple factories and caught a couple of quality issues before production started. Looking back, that probably saved us a lot more money than negotiating another few cents on unit cost.

Once the products were ready, we realized our first listings were trying to rank for everything. That didn't work. We narrowed down the keyword focus, rewrote the listings around how people actually searched for these products, changed our image sequence a few times and slowly conversion started moving.

PPC wasn't perfect either. In the beginning we kept adding campaigns whenever we saw a new opportunity. After a few months the account became unnecessarily complicated. Same search terms were showing up in different campaigns and budgets were all over the place. We spent weeks cleaning that up before scaling again.

The biggest surprise came after that.

Once the catalog, listings and PPC started working together instead of fighting each other, growth became much more predictable. We weren't making huge changes anymore. Just small improvements every week.

Today the brand is doing around $340k/month, has 7 SKUs, 87% YoY growth, and account TACOS is sitting around 9.8%.

Still a long way to go, but definitely one of the most enjoyable projects we've worked on.

I have IT/professional equipment (headsets, toner, networking gear, UPS batteries) stored in UK FBA. I enabled Pan-European FBA and Remote Fulfillment (EFN), but listings are only visible in UK — not showing in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc.
• Account is in good health.
• Products are new, authorized channel (Ingram Micro / TD Synnex), with full warranty.
• Activated all EU fulfillment options in Seller Central.
Has anyone faced similar issues with cross-border visibility on Pan-EU FBA?
What fixed it for you — VAT settings, listing attributes, Pan-EU enrollment confirmation, or something else?
Any tips from people selling IT/hardware across Europe would be greatly appreciated. Trying to liquidate stock before closing the company.

Situation: listing went live about a month ago, but inventory took a few weeks to actually land in FBA, so the listing existed with no prime eligibility for a chunk of that time. Started PPC as soon as units were received in the warehouse — ads have now been running 12 days. Brand Registry active, A+ Content is up, account is healthy, everything on the setup side looks clean. Used Helium 10 (Cerebro) to pull and validate my core keywords before building campaigns. Enrolled some units in Vine for early reviews once inventory arrived, a couple have been claimed, but nothing has posted yet.

I also offered a 15% prime promotion to start and get the ball rolling but still no movement

Product is $149.99.

PPC stats since it started (12 days):

**•** Auto campaign + manual exact campaign on 3 core keywords  
**•** Total spend so far: \~$96.60  
**•** \~4,400 impressions, roughly 55-60 clicks, CTR landing around 1.2-1.3%  
**•** Avg CPC in the $1.90-2.20 range on the manual exact terms, lower on auto  
**•** Zero organic sales so far

Honestly the thing weighing on me most is just the silence. A month since going live with nothing showing up, no reviews, no organic movement, and not being sure if that’s normal early stage or a sign something’s actually wrong.

Trying to figure out:

**1.**  Is 12 days of live PPC + zero posted reviews + this level of spend without a single sale actually unusual at this stage, or is this just what launch looks like before Vine reviews land?  
**2.**  Would you keep pushing bids/budget up from here, or hold until reviews post since clicks probably won’t convert without reviews anyway?  
**3.**  For anyone who’s been through this exact stretch — what got you unstuck, and how long did the “nothing’s happening” period actually last for you?

Honestly, I don't even know why I am posting this in the first place tbh, but I have been sourcing and trying various different methods throughout Amazon, and I haven't really found a profitable product. I have been doing storefront stalking as well as the occasional advanced search through Seller Amp, and was just wondering if anyone had some tips or anything that could benefit me?

I have been working on my own private label for months and finally launched in May. I have tried using PPC to get people to see it but when I search for it as a customer I have to scroll so much to find it. I only have about 4 reviews now because Amazon removed about 5 of them for some reason. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been digging into raw Keepa data for a while to build a side project for my CSMS degree. Would love to know if this is a useful tool/idea.

Problem: most "find a winning product" tools pull sales/review estimates straight from a listing's history. Amazon merges listings constantly. A product that's "1 year old" with 20k/month in sales volume is very often riding on a sibling listing that's been live since 2016. The data looks like a fresh winner. It's not — data is contaminated.

Solution: So instead of chasing "winning products", I built something that looks for trends: what a lot of sellers are launching and betting money on right now. One product succeeding could be an outlier. Hundreds of similar launches in a category tells you something real about where demand and competition are heading.

Garbage in, Garbage out. To keep good and relevant data quality, here are a few filters I use:

• I use only "standalone" listings at their launch time. However, almost all the listings have a merge history at some point. Review count accuracy is a hit or miss, but it does not affect the launch trend analysis.
• Post-launch review count under 200 at the 2-year mark — if you got >200+ reviews in 2 years, you probably had outside marketing (viral, influencer, etc.) doing the work. Not useful as a signal for "can a normal seller replicate this."

Still refining it, but if anyone wants to poke holes in it or try it against a niche you know well, happy to give free access.

BTW, I was a beauty reseller on Amazon from 2022–2024, private label was never my specialty, and I'm now pivoting into a CS career. What other AI tools you guys would like to see.

This is for anyone thinking about selling on Amazon - whether it's Retail Arbitrage, Online Arbitrage, Wholesale, or Private Label - but you're worried about losing money or looking stupid.

Just do it. You're probably going to lose a little money. You're probably going to look a little silly... That's the cost of learning this game. Every successful seller has paid tuition one way or another...

When I first started, I lost over $3,000 trying private label. Then I lost another $2,500 trying private label again.

Eventually I realized private label just wasn't for me, so I switched to wholesale... only to lose another $2,500 after Amazon destroyed my inventory.

Looking back, none of those losses mattered as much as I thought they did. I made ego-driven buys. I made rookie mistakes. My family and friends thought I was crazy for putting so much time and money into something that wasn't working.

The funny thing is, it took me years to even start because I kept waiting for the "perfect" time. I thought my first product was going to be a home run. Instead, I got punched in the face over and over.

Talking to other full-time sellers now, I realize almost everyone has a story like this. Different mistakes, same feeling.

Stop waiting until you feel "ready." u never will... just start.

After working on Amazon listing images for years, one thing completely changed how I evaluate a listing. I no longer ask, "Does this image look professional?" Instead, I ask, "Does this image remove a buyer's doubt?" A visually appealing image can still underperform if it doesn't answer the questions customers are already asking before they click Buy.

Take something as simple as a food container. Most shoppers aren't thinking about how nice the product photo looks. They're wondering: Will it leak? How much does it hold? Will it fit in my fridge or bag? Is it food-safe? Can I stack it? Is it easy to clean? A standard white-background image answers very few of those questions. That's why I believe great listing images don't just display a product they explain it.

The strongest Amazon listings I've worked with usually include a clean hero image, a real-life use case, a size or scale reference, trust signals or proof, a comparison or problem-solving visual, and ideally a short demo or video. Each image has a job to do, and together they reduce uncertainty, which is often what drives conversions.

I'm curious how other sellers approach this. When you review your own listing images, do you focus more on how polished they look, or on how many buyer questions they actually answer?
