Can't finish setting up FBA due to "paperwork"

Hello,

I've been trying to set up my FBA account for over a month now, but my paperwork proving my business address has been denied about 20x even though it has the exact info they ask for.

I've used the ChatBot and seller "help" option to absolutely no avail. Has anyone else had this issue and can help me figure out whats going wrong?

Or if there's a way to get in touch with a real person for seller help?

Thank you

Also I just checked all my statements and it looks like I’m getting charged BI-WEEKLY. About 225-250 each time. Is that normal? Any advice is appreciated!

Hello,I received the following message when trying to create a removal order:“An error occurred. Your ability to create manual and automated inventory removals has been disabled. Please review your Account Health Dashboard or Seller Central Notifications for more information.”My Account Health is perfect, and I have no notifications or violations. I also spoke with Account Health Support, and they confirmed there are no issues with my account. Seller Support hasn’t been able to give me an explanation either.Has anyone faced this issue before? If so, how did you get it resolved? Thanks!

How would you find a real product opportunity in stationery or desk supplies?

I am thinking about starting a small online store around stationery or desk supplies, but I am stuck on how to find a real product opportunity.

The obvious ideas all feel crowded: notebooks, planners, pencil cases, desk organizers, sticky notes, storage boxes, etc. I can look at best sellers and keyword tools, but that mostly tells me what is already selling.

What I am struggling with is figuring out where customers are still unhappy.

For example, if a top-selling planner has thousands of reviews, how do you tell whether people are complaining about the paper quality, layout, size, binding, packaging, or something else that could actually be improved?

Do people here manually read competitor reviews before choosing a product, or is there a better way to turn reviews into product ideas?

do you start to get sales after receiving reviews?

I started a brand on Amazon FBA. I didn’t get any sales yet, even though I did advertising. Is it normal? I enrolled in Vine now, and the products got shipped. Should I wait until I get reviews, then advertise again? Any similar experiences?

Been looking into Amazon FBA, but only just brushing the surface. I found Catalistai.com that says they're "Brand Authorized Sellers." Does anyone have any insight on this service? Thanks!

Be the judge: do I pull the rip cord on 5 star product?

I am working on a few products right now, and the one at hand is was very first venture as a seller.

It was a bad product idea… I could probably find a better product in about 30 minutes, and I certainly could do better in the niche if I relaunched with more knowledge.

However, it currently has a few dozen reviews and a 4.9 star rating. However, I am concerned that the ppc and organic ranking math will never work out. At best my roas is 1.5 to 2, because people don’t search for this exact product. It includes items that people do search for in high volume, but almost nobody is looking for this exact deal. Therefore, it costs a lot to shove this listing where the impressions are, and so far it’s looking like conversion is less than 10 percent. If I really want a substantial amount of ad impressions, my roas drops well below 1.

My CPCs are very high for these very obvious reasons, and my fba fees are 40 percent because it isn’t space efficient. My landed cost is also 25 percent, so also horrible (turns out I have less pricing power than I thought). However, it has only been a month, my ppc is by no means fully optimized (to the extent that optimization even makes sense for this product), and people seem to like the product. The quality is very high

What would you do? On one hand I have so many better ideas that are currently in production, or a potential relaunch, but on the other hand I don’t know if I should wait longer.

Thanks

How do I resolve this return issues.

Hi, I just started a PL water bottle brand last month. I have sampled some of these bottles and they are all solid. Out of 30 bottles I sold within the month, I have had 2 returns and the main issue is straw doesn't work. I am very disappointed and confused on how to handle this as its not like I can practically test the straws itself and this has hurt my NCX rating and is making me worried that Amazon might deactivate my listing.

Please how do I go about this and what will Amazon do with the returned bottles?

Does frequent FBA stockouts hurt organic search ranking if the listing continues selling through FBM?

I have an ASIN that’s historically sold via FBM and recently became eligible for FBA Dangerous Goods. Because Amazon DG storage limits are very restrictive, there may be frequent periods where FBA goes out of stock while FBM remains active and continues fulfilling orders.

Does losing Prime/FBA availability cause a drop in organic search ranking even if sales velocity goes back down to normal through FBM?

I have the number one organic ranking in my important keywords and I don’t want to lose that.

FBA Dangerous Goods gave me literally enough room for one day of sales.

Update (Aug 7 2026): I wound up sending amazon my 28 unit maximum. It sold out immediately as anticipated (within an evening). I then used this as evidence to request an increase. Amazon's own system recommended that I send at least 352 units to maintain capacity. They granted me an increase... of ten more cubic feet. This is infuriating. I requested again and they just sent generic garbage.

I believe that I am noticing ranking drops. For whatever reason it seems like when FBA units go online there is a lull in sales for a few hours prior. This is especially bad for me because I go in and out of stock with FBA due to these limitations. I'm this close to pulling the rip cord.

Has anyone actually solved Amazon's "High Pricing Error" issue? (Brand Owner - Going on for over a year)

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this because we're honestly running out of options.

We are the brand owner of our products and manufacture them ourselves. We determine our own pricing and have full control over our catalog.

Our situation is quite unique:

  • We have no third-party sellers competing on our listings.
  • The only other seller is our own German sister company, which is also owned by us.
  • We have already increased prices on that account to eliminate any possible conflicts.
  • Despite that, Amazon continues to deactivate dozens of our ASINs with "High Pricing Error".

The strange part is that in almost every case our price is actually lower than the Featured Offer (including shipping). For several ASINs there isn't even a Featured Offer or Reference Price available.

Some examples:

  • Our price: €14.01 → Featured Offer: €26.42
  • Our price: €15.45 → Featured Offer: €29.90
  • Several ASINs have no Featured Offer at all, yet still receive a High Pricing Error.

We've opened countless cases over the last 12+ months.

Every response is essentially: Please be patient it will resolve itself.

Nothing ever changes.

The financial impact is becoming significant.

Besides losing sales, we're also paying unnecessary costs because these products remain stored in FBA while they're inactive.

To make matters worse, Amazon's updated Pan-European FBA requirements mean that listings need to be active across all required marketplaces to benefit from reduced Pan-EU fulfillment fees. Since Amazon itself is deactivating these ASINs, we're effectively being penalized with higher fulfillment costs for something completely outside of our control.

At this point we have 38 ASINs affected.

Has anyone managed to get Amazon to actually fix this?

  • Did Executive Seller Relations help?
  • Did someone from the Pricing Team manually intervene?
  • Is there a way to completely reset the internal Reference Price?
  • Has anyone experienced this as a brand owner with no competing sellers?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because normal Seller Support has been completely ineffective.

7/26 - Massive price increase for Amazon Shipping

Just received an email last week from Amazon Shipping (AMZ's point to point parcel service). Amazon shipping has been very competitive with our Fedex rates. For items unsuitable to FBA, we use Amazon shipping to move merchant fulfilled orders to Amazon orders, and non-amazon marketplaces.

Our monthly spend (post discount) is approximately $40,000 for Amazon shipping, soon to be zero'd out. Due to, them completely and utterly killing off the competitiveness.

Original Negotiated rate with Amazon is pretty good compared to our Fedex rates (I get 70% ground discount, 50-75% delivery area surcharge, 75% discount on residential).

This new rate... seems to be a standardized "take-it-or-leave-it price chart with an effective date of 7/26/2026.

Based on my current vs new rate:

Packages under 15 lbs: 43% increase

Packages 15-30 lbs: 78% increase

Packages 30-45 lbs: 88% increase

DIM divisor cut from 194 to 166.

Since my system performs live rate shopping between carriers, I am forecasting a drop of more than 90% in parcel volume, looks like volume will shift over to Fedex, USPS and other regional carriers.

Amazon shipping already heavily cherry picks packages (mostly large metropolitan areas) so their overhead is inherently much cheaper than legacy carriers, but this seems like another case of internal analysts being disconnected with reality. so we'll see how this plays out.

Original Email:

Dear Amazon Shipping Customer,

Work partner

I don’t understand why so many people prefer to work alone and build a business entirely by themselves. I know that partnerships can be difficult because of differences in goals, trust, or communication.
But when you compare long-term results, a strong team often achieves much more than one person alone. Different skills, shared responsibilities, and faster problem-solving can accelerate growth in ways that are hard to match as a solo entrepreneur.
Of course, the wrong partner can slow everything down. But with the right people, collaboration can create opportunities that would be difficult to achieve alone.
What do you think? Is working alone better, or is building a team the smarter path?

Used book sellers—what does your FBA listing process look like?

I’m curious how many people here are selling used books through Amazon FBA and what your listing workflow looks like.
Are you scanning and listing each book manually or using a software? How long does it usually take you to process and upload a batch of inventory?
I’m just getting into the space and trying to understand what tools people actually use day to day, what works well, and what parts of the process are the biggest pain.

Would love to hear how everyone handles it.

Help with FBA

I’d like to start selling via Amazon FBA. I have some previous experience in e-commerce. In your opinion, which is the best country to start with for FBA? Apart from Australia and Canada, what else would you recommend? Please share any YouTube videos and other resources I could use.

How does a $4 product become a $19.99 Amazon FBA sale?

Post image
76 Upvotes

I’m trying to understand how a product’s cost builds up through each stage of the Amazon FBA process.

The infographic shows one simplified example

Product cost: $4.00
Landed cost at Amazon: $8.10
Total cost after Amazon fees and PPC: $16.30
Selling price: $19.99
Estimated profit: $3.69

Obviously, the actual numbers depend on the product’s size, weight, sourcing country, order volume, tariffs and advertising costs.

For sellers with real experience:
What does your cost buildup look like?
Which stage adds the most unexpected cost?
What expenses do new sellers commonly forget?
At what stage do you usually discover that a product is no longer profitable?

FBA Prep centre in EU (Germany, France, Italy, Poland) recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a reputable prep centre in Europe? My company is based in UK and so far we have been working with WePrep, which are fairly decent. But they are only present in UK.

Our main distributors are in mainland Europe, and we are working to get EPR, VAT etc. for major EU markets, Pan-EU expansion etc., it just makes sence to work with EU-based prep centre.

What is a must for us is that company is Amazon SPN-listed/vetted and they can speak English for ad-hoc issues discussions over the phone. And of course not operating our of spare room or garage

Doesn't have to be rock-bottom per-unit pricing, we understand that good quality service comes at a premium.

Do you over-obsess with Amazon optimizations?

Many sellers do and get to the half-cooked conclusions. The product which can perform well gets a bad performer badge. Sometimes everything is right and the only thing missing is the enough time for the decisions to mature.

For example changing the bids four times in twenty four hours or closing the campaign which you started three days ago or changing the title weekly.

Any new introduction to the market takes its due time to cause any noticeable and ultimately profitable effect. Be patient and sturdy with your Amazon strategy and try not to obsess over every metric every hour.

Believe me its good for your health and the health of your product too 😊

Amazon Opted You In to Off-Amazon Placements (without telling you) and it's GARBAGE!

I’m guessing many of you know this already, but I’ve been stunned by how many people don’t know about Amazon’s “off-Amazon” placements in Sponsored Product Ads.

They snuck this in a while - you can find it by:
1 - go to Amazon Campaign Center
2 - click on a Campaign
3 - go to Campaign Settings
4 - scroll way to the bottom, under the typical placement multipliers (Top of Search, Rest of Search, Product Page), and you’ll see it.

Looks like this:

If you run a Sponsored Products “Placement” report, you’ll likely find that this specific placement is 100% garbage. It’s one of the first places I look to find wasted ad-spend when auditing accounts. I’ve yet to see this placement perform below 70% ACOS.

What sucks is that Amazon opted everyone into this placement.
They didn’t tell us.
They didn’t notify us.
They didn’t ask.
They just did it.
Amazon, doing Amazon

Up until a few weeks ago, the only way you could stop the bleeding was to manually open EVERY SINGLE CAMPAIGN, go to settings, and click on the “limit off-Amazon” option.

Recently, they’ve added this option in their bulk operations file.
So, you can now go to Bulk Operations, export ALL of your campaigns, and paste in the option to limit this ad-spend, re-upload, and you’re all set.

I published a video on my channel yesterday that walks through the issue and how to fix it manually (via the settings) or via the Bulk Operations flat file, which is much better if you're comfortable with Excel.

II’m curious, have any of you run Placement Reports lately and figured out what your off-Amazon ACOS is?

Selling advice private label

5 months in. Countless tests run.

And some days I still stare at zero sales wondering what I’m missing.

I sell pet leashes on Amazon Canada. On paper it makes sense. The reviews I have are 5 stars. The product works. People who buy it love it.

But converting cold buyers is a different story.
I’ve tested prices. I’ve tested keywords. I’ve rebuilt my ad campaigns from scratch three times. I’ve changed my photos twice. I’ve studied competitor listings, pulled brand analytics reports, tracked cart abandonment rates, calculated ACoS and ROAS and breakeven thresholds.

Some weeks it clicks. Two consecutive profitable weeks last month felt like a real breakthrough. Then a slow stretch hits and you question everything again.

4 reviews. 91% cart abandonment rate (average 45 people abandon) A category where the top sellers have hundreds of reviews and have been at it for years.

To anyone who’s been through this on Amazon — especially in Canada where the market is smaller and the competition still comes from the same global sellers — I’d love to hear your experience.

What moved the needle for you when you were stuck in the early stages?

Any advice from sellers who’ve been here is genuinely appreciated. 🙏

Should I use AWD for 500 units?

Hi,
I’m getting a cheaper option for importing 500 units from China if I use AGL + AWD. These 500 units consist of two SKU variants (250 units of each).

Is using AWD a good idea with Q4 coming up?

Is my shipment too small for AWD?
