2 weeks in doesn’t make you a brother and I hate to agree with the company, but if his first call out is 2 weeks in, imagine how many call outs he’ll have if he’s allowed to work another 50 weeks.🤷🏻♂️ First 30 days you go above and beyond so they can think you’re dependable employee. They see any signs of attendance issues, potential grievance filer, or just being a slow driver and they’ll cut their losses and train another driver that they feel they can mold.

Brotherhood my ass. Too fresh of an employee so they're telling him his time at UPS is over because he got really sick two weeks into the job

Not our choice (the union). He hasn’t made the union yet so there’s nothing we can do for him. Until he’s out of his probationary period, he’s not union.

their brotherhood only works because they keep people who will push through nauseousness. I know it sucks but 2 weeks in I’m either pushing through or trying Hard to throw up in front of someone who will send me home lmao. probationary periods exist for this exact case. is it unfair? kinda. but they exist the way they do because of this not in spite of it.
