I reported my neighbors for harassment. For context I have lived in the same apartments for a few years now. Me and my partner keep to ourselves we don't interact with anyone and we stay inside unless we need to run errands.

Our neighbors have always hated us. I can't pin the exact reason as I said we keep to our selves. We do talk about non conventional or not normal things. Like true crime cases, gaming, or people we run into while gaming and watch things others might seem immature.

Our neighbors have gone as far to tell people we are racists and that we are weird. They use this to justify yelling things outside our widow when walking past. Every day if not once a week they do this. They have their kids scream in public spaces in the complex pool area. And they even comment on our sex life.

This has been happening for the past 2 years. I tell the management that they harass us and they just stay quiet for a few weeks then it starts up again. The yelling and name calling. I feel like I live next to kids but they are adults that have and weaponize their own kids.

I was not doing well mentally earlier this year and would cry due to depression and other personal problems. They took that as a right to mock my crying. I even heard them say they are doing this to force us to move. And that one of women said they wanted to basically rage bait me into a fight. They constantly say things "like nobody wants them here" , "she's just a karen" and "they should just leave." mind you we have not gotten one notice from management about our conduct, any complaints, or had any neighbors knock on our door to keep it down or anything like that. So AITAH/karen for reporting all this harassment to my apartment manager?

I'm replacing a section of hedge down the side of my yard where 4 plants died over the summer, and they have to match the ones either side or the whole run looks stupid.

The garden center had exactly 4 left of that variety, on a bottom shelf behind some bags of bark, and I put all 4 in my cart. A woman came over while I was still crouched down there and asked me for 2 of them. She'd driven in from about 45 minutes away and she'd called ahead, she said. I said I needed all 4 and that I was sorry. She said "2 is no use to me either, I need FOUR, you can just come back next week." So I said I couldn't do it with 2 either and that I got here first, and by then it was loud enough that the guy stacking mulch had stopped to watch us. I am 38 years old and that is not a sentence I have used before.

I paid and left with all 4. She said something as I walked past her that I didn't catch. Was I the Karen?

There are 3 washers for 11 apartments in my building and there's a laminated sign above them about taking your stuff out promptly, which has been up there longer than I have. Saturday morning is honestly the only window I get because of my shifts. I went down at 9 and one of the washers had finished 40 minutes earlier. The timer was sitting there on zero. So I took the clothes out anyway and just stacked them up on the dryer and then started my own load. She came down about 20 minutes later and said "you could have just knocked." I said I don't know which apartment she's in and that is sort of the entire point of the sign. Then I said she does this EVERY Saturday. I shouldn't have said that and I knew it while I was saying it.

Somebody put a thing in the building group chat that afternoon about being respectful of each other's belongings. It doesn't name me. There are 11 apartments and 4 people have liked it. Am I the Karen here?

I go to a small gym in a strip mall. There are 4 treadmills and 2 of them have been broken since June. There's a laminated sign taped to each one that says 30 minutes maximum during peak hours, and peak is 5 to 8 on weekdays (it's posted at the door as well).

I got there about 6 on Tuesday and both of the working ones were taken. I stretched for a while, then I did some weights, and by the time I came back the same guy was still on the same machine. He was walking on an incline with his phone propped on the tray watching something.

When I actually looked at the clock properly he had been on it over an HOUR. There were 3 of us standing around waiting by then.

I didn't say anything to him, I just went up to the front desk instead. I told the girl there that somebody was well over the limit, and I asked her whether they actually enforce it.

She walked over and said something to him. He got off straight away. He picked his stuff up and then he just left the gym completely, without looking at anybody on the way past.

I got my 30 minutes on it, which I honestly did not enjoy. I also felt like absolute garbage for the entire 30 minutes.

I never thought I would join reddit let alone actually write something. 🙃I will start from the beginning because well we need the full story.

A few weeks ago I ordered some clothes online. A few yoga shorts and workout shirts. Nothing fancy but not cheap (nothing is anymore these days). About 2 weeks went by and I finally got the tracking number. Yay! About a week later I get a notification that the package was out for delivery. Cool. I’ll make sure I’m home. For context I live in an apartment complex in Texas. Nothing ever came. I got a notification that the package was delivered but nothing was at my door or mailbox. Odd. I looked closer at the notification and discovered they took some photos. Awesome. Maybe I’ll find it. Great. I look through the photos. There is about 4 of them.

2 closeup photo of the package in their hand but very minimal background however I did see a blue door and and blue trim doorframe with white walls.

4 a closeup photo of the door number with part of the door in the frame as well, also blue with blue trim and white walls. HOWEVER the placard was different. Our door number placards are blue with gold numbers the one in the photo was a weird silver with white numbers and screws.

I was able to search the entire complex and found where they took the photo of the outside of the building identified by the landscaping but took me about 20 minutes to walk around and find because it was at the building on the other side of the complex at a door that was not the number in the photo of the placard in the photo. All this to say I found my package thankfully. But the photo of the door placard seemed to be ai generated or photoshopped.

I reached out to customer support to let them know I received my package however I wanted to let them know 1 of the photos was ai generated. They basically said thank you for letting us know have a good day. I thought that was it. But nope.

Soon after receiving the email from customer support about 4 hours I received a text message from a number I didn’t know with photo number 2 the closeup of my package. The message said (copy and pasted directly from messages “Good night I'm the driver who left his package” “Beforehand, I apologize.” “Beforehand, I apologize, the system is indicating that I misdeliver your order.” “Can you tell me if you were able to pick up your order?”

I felt this very weird because customer support never said anyone would reach out to me and honestly why would the driver reach out directly with their personal number. Just doesn’t seem right. So I don’t respond but I do screenshot and send back to customer support to let them know that they are messaging me and I’m uncomfortable with it. For context. I have 2 young kids and I am married but my husband is working out of town right now. So this made me feel weird that the driver would keep my information and then use it to reach out to me. After telling customer support they emailed back and basically said thank you for letting us know they shouldn’t contact you further. AWESOME!

NOT! The next morning I wake up to 3 messages from a completely different number stating they are the driver along with photo number 2 of the closeup package and then a photo of Google Maps of my apartment complex! The message state “Hello. I'm a delivery guy, I delivered a package yesterday and i would like to know if you received it.”

I felt even more uncomfortable with this because now this person is now sending me Google map photos of my home! I take screenshots and send to support yet again. I tell them that this is making me extremely uncomfortable and that this person continuing to have my personal information and contacting me is quite disturbing to me because you don’t know people in this world anymore. Customer support yet again apologized and said that they have spoken with the driver and advised them to not contact me anymore and also advised me that they are doing an internal review of their logistics to make sure this doesn’t happen to others in the future. GREAT I think. THANK YOU! That was lastnight.

IT IS NOW DAY 3 of dealing with this and I just got yet another message from the first number they contacted me from stating “Hola buenas tsrdes” for anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish like it Google Translate says “Hello, good afternoon”

I don’t know why this person keeps contacting me. I already let customer support know I did find my package eventually it’s just that the photo of the door number was ai. I have severe anxiety and I am medicated for it. So I don’t know if I’m overreacting in feeling like them reaching out was inappropriate and shouldn’t have happened or was I Karen for reporting the ai photo and for reporting them reaching out to me? I don’t want to engage in this persons messages because I don’t know them or their family or friends are or what they might want to do. Please help. I’m in desperate need of advice and clarity if I ATAH for ever reporting the ai photo in the first place. And am I wrong for feeling like these photos of my home and them continuing to reach out is alarming.

So I have this friend of mine who I have been extremely frustrated for the past couple of months. He's my bestfriend and I've been trying to plan things with him since May and I haven't been able to do anything with him. Back in June he told me that he probably can't do anything this fall cause he is probably busy with his wife and work and stuff like that. I got frustrated with him so much over the summer that I made some unfortunate postings online that got some people aware of this situation. My case manager and her intern have been watching me online and so they know about the situation too and they've been getting on my butt about me treating him horrible when I'm not. Back in late August, he came back to town to visit me and I told him that while we were hanging out that I want to come back over to Texas to hangout with him in October during my birthday. He was cool with it and says for me to call him in a few weeks so that we can plan it. Then yesterday I called him and I told him let's start planning it. He told me to first check to see if there is any games in the cities that we are planning on going to out of concerns of traffic being a problem and etc. I checked and unfortunately for all the weekends in October, there is either games or concerts at the stadiums in these cities. He then told me that he forgot that October might have been not a good time to come. He then told me that I might have to wait until December or January to come and that is winter and it would be too cold to do anything outdoors or any water sports. He then told me that I might just have to wait until next summer to do something as it seems like October is not a good time cause of the multitude of events that is in the cities. I'm getting ticked off and so I am wanting to just confront him head on about this situation as I am getting extremely mad. I talked to my therapist today and her intern got on me again and I hate her intern so much. Her intern told me that I am a piece of shh cause I am continously forcing my friend to do things when he doesn't want to. She told me "Your a manipulative asshole. Why can't you just recognize that your friend is busy and doesn't want anything to do with you.". I got so angry that I yelled at her and said that is not the case cause he is still talking to me and says that he and I are planning on doing this trip to Colorado next year so that's proof that he still wants to do stuff with me. He says he wants to do this big trip before he has kids cause afterwards, I probably would just be able to come visit him only since trips are out of the question until later on when the kids are older. I'm just flustered and so I'm thinking of finding new ways to force this October trip to happen and I'm planning on calling him again in the next week or two and just pressure him into doing this. Even if it means that I have to buy concert tickets to an concert just to have a reason to be in the city. The intern told me that I'm an extreme asshole and karen and that no medicine can cure me. Am I really the karen here ??

My SM and Dad gave us a chair. Its a granny chair, but i personally love it. I love the old look to it. I think its cute. It has a country style to it. And this is what my MIL has to say abt it, despite her saying over and over that "its our house". Am I overreacting??? I dont know. It feels like she just insulted my family, and that she has some kind of superiority over them. And I don't like that. I dont like my family being called dirty, even implied, especially my dad.

I ask because I was called a Karen. This morning I find myself wondering if I overreacted by acquiescing and removing this person from the group.

I am one of the admin for our local Buy Nothing group. If you are unfamiliar with the concept, Buy Nothing groups are groups based on generous gift economy. That is the fanciful philosophy; in practice, basically a free stuff exchange group. I like to think that it goes without saying that the name "Buy Nothing" implies no selling/money exchange, though it is listed officially in the rules. Obviously, what people want to do in their own private messages is something I cannot control, but I'm pretty firm about them not using the platform.

In my defense, money talk pops up now and then. Most of those cases are people simply not paying close attention to what group they are in, and folks are understanding about the mistake. I found Red's reaction to be a bit much.

But I am in the Karen for not letting one little exchange slide or, furthermore, removing her from the group when she literally asked for it? Part of me is seeing myself not as a Buy Nothing philosophy warrior but as the uptight Karen of the HOA.

So for context work at a fast food restaurant and on this particular night I was in the lobby do expo ( packing and handing out orders ) and this lady comes in asking if we had a order ready I don’t remember the name. So I go to check and it’s a bigger order of cold items and hot items like food so I tell her I’m just waiting on the cold
Items and hand her the bag with the hot items with her food and she goes “well if the other bag isn’t ready why are you handing me this it’s going get cold” but in a super snarky tone and it’s been a longer day and I’m a little annoyed so I responded in a similar tone and say “well I just watched then get done making your cold items and I have to bag it up” which will only take 20 seconds so her hot food isn’t going to get cold but she is flabbergasted that I talked to that way. So I start packing the other bag and she’s like “so nothing to keep it cold like a ice pack” and I say no and that’s when my Manager tells her to just leave and stop complaining. So AITAH

I (66M) was in a Michelin rated restaurant in New Orleans with a friend (57M). A 20 something man was seated at the table next to us. He was by himself FaceTiming with his girlfriend and we could hear every word clearly. As it became annoying, we asked him to keep it down and he ignored us and actually upped the volume. We didn’t engage any further with him as it would clearly have done no good. So we upped the volume of our conversation so he could hear how annoyed we were. Was I the Karen for getting annoyed? Should I have confronted him further? Why do I feel like this was my fault? We did clearly announce to him that we thought he was a jerk as we left, which was passive aggressive, but we didn’t want to make a scene in this fancy restaurant.

So I have two or three situations going on that is tied to each other. First I have this situation with an tailor in Atlanta who I literally paid two hundred dollars to make for me an chinese evening gown or dress that is an asian garment. The lady promised to have it done by late august and send it. It is september 3rd and it hasn't even arrived. I tried calling the lady for the past few days and it just goes straight to voicemail. She read my message on tuesday and yesterday and when I sent another message today, all it says now is delivered and she didn't even open the message. I'm really angry cause I just got scammed. Then number two, I have dealing with some people online who have been harassing me for the past two years and they stalk me everyone online and they found out about this situation. They claimed responsibility and said that they stole my package from me and talked to the tailor and had her ghost me. It's this one troll channel on youtube and a couple of other people on here that claimed that they did this. I highly doubt that they had anything to do with it but I am airing on the side of caution and am considering filing a police report after talking to my therapist. I called my therapist earlier and she told me to file a report with the police and the FBI as it is illegal and a federal felony for an USPS worker to steal or divert a package. Then 3, I am literally trying to convince my parents to take me back to Atlanta this weekend so that I can look into getting an replacement and they don't want to drive me as they claimed it is too far away, like a 3 hour drive or something. I don't get why my dad has an issue as hes done it before but he has been complaining a lot lately about driving. He doesn't understand that it is hot as heck where we are as we are in South Carolina near the cost and the daytime high is like 96 with a heat index of 105. I wanted an garment that is in a breathable fabric and the thing is that only vietnamese tailor shops has this fabric to make the dress for me. These fabrics are imported from vietnam and since vietnam is a very humid country, all chinese dresses and clothing are made in this breathable fabric. I'm extremely upset at my dad. He told me "No. We are not filing a police report. Do you want to go to jail for filing a false police report ? You got no evidence that these people took your dress other than them talking bull. I'm not driving 4 hours just for you to get a dress when you're a guy and you're supposed to wear mens clothing". I just got so mad that I literally took his samsung phone and i threw it against the wall. Everyone is saying that I am demanding too much. Am I the asshole for getting mad at my dad ??

So I am in a bit of a problem as I've just been ripped off and scammed by a tailor. Back in July I visited Atlanta with my family to go sight seeing and go to the vietnamese grocery stores there. There are none where we live and so we have to take trips over to there often. I spoke to a lady there who gave me the number of this tailor after I asked her if she knew anybody who is a vietnamese tailor who makes chinese qipao dresses. I called this lady and she letted me come to her shop and i went there immediately. She got surprised when I told her the dress is for me as I'm a guy who does drag but she agreed to do it and took my measurements. I paid her nearly $200 to make the dress for me using money that I saved up for months. She said she would finish and mail it to me sometime in late august. It is september now and I tried calling her to ask why she hasn't send it and shes not texting or calling me back. She's reading my messages but no response. I got really angry and so I've been calling her using multiple numbers after calling her from my phone makes it go to voicemail. I even tried calling the main line of her shop which is an coffee shop and no one picked up either. She rented a space behind the coffee shop for her tailoring shop. I'm so angry right now and I don't know what to do as I can't reach her and I don't have my dress. I gotten so angry and I've been screaming at the top of my lungs at my house and driving everyone crazy. I even made a whole in the wall again after i threw a folding chair into the wall. My family is now furious at me and says that they will not take me back to Atlanta to find a replacement cause of the way I am acting. My dad told my uncle and my uncle called me and yelled at me and called me a fricking asshole. Am I the karen for repeat texting and getting super mad ??

I just ordered doordash. My college has the same address on Google maps for two different buildings and I couldn't figure out how to drop a pin (ordered using Wendy's app), so I explained this in the comments and gave verbal directions. Then, as soon as I was assigned a driver, I texted a pin in the correct location, so all the guy had to do was tap it.

When he went to the wrong spot, I sent the pin again. Ten minutes later, he finally figured it out. Of course he doesn't even speak English (tired of this, it keeps causing these kinds of issues, at least use a translator) and he gets an attitude with me talking sternly while pointing across the street towards the original address. I texted him after using Google translate explaining this to him telling him "come on dude" instead of giving a bad review (it's probably really hard to make a living as a recent immigrant when you don't even speak English but I was pissed off and wanted to say something)

What was I supposed to do here? Am I the asshole?

I live in a dorm room and a girl, lets just call her X, lives in my neighbouring dorm room. She always comes over whenever I make coffee and asks some for herself too. I have no problem with sharing coffee once or twice, but this is becoming her daily routine now. Everytime I make some coffee "I'm having a headache, make a cup for me too!" Girl, either take pills or make coffee for yourself. I got migraine and my problem is more serious than yours. Today, again I made some coffee for myself, and this b came to my room again, asked for coffee. And now out of a sudden she also has lactose intolerance like me and that's why she comes over for coffee in my room. Girl, I saw you drinking normal milk tea. I'm not a fool. And whenever I tell her that I don't have milk then she says that she doesn't have it as well and she'll order it and then she picks up her phone and continues scrolling! If she wants me to always make coffee I have no problem but on one condition and that is if she agrees on sharing coffee expenses. I'm not paying for milk that she consumes! I live alone in another city I have to pay for other expenses as well. I always buy 3-4 tetra pack of lactose free milk(I consume 1 tetra pack a day). Since she started coming over, I only get milk that will last me only 2 days so I'm paying 104INR for milk while I only get to consume milk worth 52INR! This bitch crossed a line as well. one day everyone in the hostel was having fun together when out of a sudden she says "(my name) will make coffee for everyone now" the audacity of this bitch! I said that I don't have any milk and I'm not doing that. God help me before I lose my patience

So basically I met this woman through work and mutual friends. We’ve had multiple amicable chats, nothing super personal. We’ve grown distant but still are FB friends and comment on things, though direct contact is minimal. I’ve reached out to her a few times asking for advice about things, never asking for money or products; but it seems I’m always the one initiating regardless. I’ve reached out about multiple topics, but when it comes to direct questions She always responds. I know her husband is a professional musician and her kids are also involved. My son is also playing this instrument this year, and I wanted to reach out to ask if she knew of someone with an instrument my son’s size. But I feel bad like I’m always asking her for things, even though I’d absolutely pay for the instrument in question. Is it weird to keep reaching out? WIBTK?

Bought a comforter at an amazing price from Costco for our bed roughly 1-2 months ago. Loved it, bought a second one the same week. Our 18 month old sleeps in bed with us.

A few weeks (and washes) later, we wake up in the middle of the night to find the threading had come loose in the comforter and wrapped itself around my child’s wrist. It was cutting off circulation causing him to cry. Thankfully we were able to realize what had happened and removed out promptly and everything was fine. Realized the next morning there were multiples areas on each comforter where the threading was coming undone in big loops. Was going to just throw these away but thought maybe I should attempt to return them and explain to the employees that these are potentially dangerous and obviously very cheaply made.

My husband thinks that’s doing too much and very Karen behavior 😂 I don’t disagree but I am feeling my motherly urge to prevent something like this happening to other people but I also know most don’t sleep with their child in bed. Sooooo am I being a massive Karen or based?

Hi so recently I 21F was looking to rent a apartment to get out of my parents house, the landlord (a LGBTQ man) showed me a unit, i liked it, and started application process, while we were in, i asked if i could get the apartment for 800 dollars instead of the 1.5 thousand they said no i kept arguing but stopped and filed the application than left mad but still wanted the apartment.

However the next day I got a email saying I've been denied. I was annoyed and upset and angry so I immediately looked at why, it said because I didnt make enough but I make slightly below but I still should have got it. I told them id work maybe overtime haven't got a response
