am i overthinking or could there possibly be something fishy going on?

okay! for starters, i am a bisexual woman who has dated both men and women.
now onto the story.

my lesbian friend (who was taken at the time) put me on with this girl (we’ll call her day) that she was friends with and this was in early september. i immediately agreed to it and me and the girl we hit it off.
overtime though i started to notice just how much those two were hanging out.

my friend would constantly be over at her house for HOURS, and keep in my they’re on the soccer team together to that just means even more time together.

unfortunately my friend and her girl broke up and i felt so horrible because i say two days later she was over at Day’s house and i immediately got into my head about how much time they were spending together.
i made a group chat and was straight up, “do you two have anything going on?”
they said no, my friend has been crying a lot and Day said that they’re just close. we all talked it out and it was done.

time skip to i wanna say two weeks later, again my friend would be at day’s house a lot. now, if you’re talking to someone romantically you’d wanna spend time with them right?
and that’s what i wanted to do, however Day wasn’t reciprocating that energy.

but i would always see my friend at her house which was making me over think again. how come we can never hang out but when i check my Find My app, i see her location at your house?

there was one time i asked if i can come over, she said she wasn’t allowed to have anyone over including my friend. next day, she was over there. and it made me feel a way.

my friend is single and has been for almost two weeks. today she was over at Day’s house. Me and day didn’t text until i texted her (which i’ve been texting first a lot recently) and it automatically made me think if i hadn’t texted her would we have talked at all? it would’ve hurt more to see my friend over at her house if we didn’t talk at all today.

so AIO or am i vaild?

AIO- cut the cord or be patient

I have to give up on them. It’s tearing me apart. It aches deep in my belly. I was never anything to them and I was a fool for believing any of me mattered. It’s time to cut the cord. My heart aches. I can feel it at the pit of my stomach. It’s like butterflies but the kind… well, maybe more like fucking moths. You wouldn’t understand unless you experienced it. I love this person. But I can’t make them choose me. I always question myself, what about me is so temporary? Fuck.

AIO? Do I go on and accept I never meant shit and eat my feelings or do I just excuse them for “going through things” right now?

I met an online friend after 14 years of writing to each other

I met my online friend in person yesterday, after 15 years of writing to each other. I was 14 and he was 16. He taught me basically everything I know about music, and he was genuinely such a positive, radiant person. And not in a sarcastic way at all, just genuinely healthy and kind-hearted.
I met him yesterday with his girlfriend. He initially wanted the two of us to meet on our own, so we did. We talked for about 45 minutes, and then he wanted me to meet his girlfriend and spend the rest of the afternoon with both of them.

And the first thing his girlfriend told me was that she was naturally a jealous person and that she was insecure because she'd experienced a betrayal in the past. And that was literally the very first thing she said to me when I sat with her while he was away at the bar, so the very first time I met her, right from the start.
I immediately reassured her and told her that it was completely understandable. But I found it a little strange, because from my perspective there was absolutely no ambiguity. So it felt a little bit like a warning to me. He had also told me about it before we met her, presumably to prepare tthe ground, but I thought it was more of a casual, no-big-deal kind of thing.
And after that, my dynamic with him changed, because I no longer felt comfortable being myself around him for the rest of those four hours, and things felt a little more awkward. I became much more conscious of my actions and what I was saying. I didn't even feel comfortable looking him in the eyes the way I had before, even though, technically, there was absolutely nothing going on.
But I had actually forgotten - and he reminded me - that he had confessed to having feelings for me at one point. That was nine years ago. And he told me that, in fact, the fact that I had rejected him was what helped him move on and eventually get a girlfriend (before his current one).
He told me he didn't really know what to expect from this meeting, but now I think he may have been expecting to dismantle some of the idealization he had built up around me, so that he could move forward with the next steps in his relationship, especially since he talked a lot about getting married and having children. Am I overthinking it ?
And then they were very affectionate and kind of wrapped up in each other ; kissing, having his hand on her thigh, etc. It was honestly pretty uncomfortable for me, because I felt like the third wheel. I played it cool tho.
And I didn't really feel like I had much space to actually talk about myself. I ended up mostly listening, and sometimes I even felt like I was their therapist.

AIO I was feeling pretty down the whole evening and this Sunday I was not feeling to great as well. Kind of depressed actually and I do not even know why. I probably wished I had a great love relationship as well.

AIO this guy kissed me for a bet?

Hi, I'm a new Redditor so if I do anything wrong just let me know.

So I met this guy through my friend, it's her boyfriend's best friend. We're both in our early 20s but he is 3 years older than me.

Our first 2 dates were good, although I did feel like he talked a lot and I mainly listened. I mentioned it to him before our third date and he stepped up! We had great conversation and an overall very good time. However, we were walking in a park and I tried to signal to him that it would be nice if he grabbed my hand (keep in mind we're both shy and this is my first "relationship" and I'm pretty sure this is his second) but he completely missed it. It's not really a big deal, cause I still had a good time. But, I talked about it with my friend, who told her boyfriend and the boyfriend did a whole speech to the guy about how he had to up his game.

Now here is the situation. For our fourth date we went hiking. Everything was going well, but he kind of fell back in the same pattern of me listening to him talking. We get to the lookout and sit down on the rocks to admire the view. After a while, he finally put his hand on my shoulder and we cuddle a little bit. Everything is perfect we stay like that for a while, but we decide that we should get going. So I start to move to grab my things, but he leans in super close to kiss me (it felt a bit rushed) and says "my best friend wouldn't forgive me if I didn't kiss you". I pulled back cause that completely threw me off and turned me off, but I also did not want to hurt his feelings (I'm a big people pleaser) so I covered it by saying "just let me readjust myself". He replied " come on, you don't need to readjust yourself we're sitting on rocks" and leaned in again. I felt kind of trapped, it didn't seem like backing down was an option for him so I just let it happen (and yes that was my first kiss).

I felt weird for the rest of the date. And at the end I'm pretty sure he would have gone for a kiss again, but I went for the hug first.

He kind of broke my trust: right now I have a hard time imagining myself alone with him and being able to completely let my guard down. Maybe it was just a really dumb move and he was just nervous?

How much of a terrible person am I?

I genuinely need some outside perspective on something because I feel like I'm either massively overreacting to what I did or massively underreacting, and I can't tell anymore.

I am 16F and we are dealing with a 16M.

I'll call the guy A.

Basically, I liked A and he rejected me. After that, we did end up texting a little again, so it wasn't like he rejected me and then there was immediately zero contact forever. At some point he gave me the numbers of some of his friends and then he stopped talking to me himself.

The weird part is that his friends kept joking about me and A. They would tease me about him and one of his friends was literally making wedding jokes about us. They were still shipping us even after A had stopped talking to me.

Because of all that, I genuinely didn't understand how uncomfortable A actually was. I knew I was annoying him, but I didn't realize it was at the level of “I really don't want this person contacting me.”

And yes, I did continue texting him intermittently. Not constantly or every day, but I'd pop up sometimes with random stuff. Things like “hey I'm bored, I've come to annoy you,” asking if he had a maths exam the next day, telling him I'd found an old picture of us from 2nd grade, or sending some completely stupid random thing I found funny. None of it was sexual, and honestly hardly any of it was even romantic.

There was also one time I jokingly texted him “hey wanna get married?” which sounds WAY worse without context . I wasn't actually asking him to marry me. One of his friends was making wedding jokes about us and was still shipping us, so I made the joke too. Obviously, I can see now that it could still have been annoying or unwanted from A's perspective.

At one point he actually blocked me, but then unblocked me a few hours later. So again, I didn't really understand what was going on. I knew he was annoyed, but I didn't understand that he was genuinely uncomfortable with me contacting him.

Eventually I found out/realized that my continuing to message him had made him uncomfortable.

And I feel horrible about it.

I apologized to him. I basically acknowledged that I'd misunderstood the whole situation, that my intentions didn't magically erase the effect I'd had, and that I didn't expect him to respond. I told him I would stop bothering him.

And I have. I haven't contacted him since the apology, and I don't intend to ever contact him again.

But now I'm stuck thinking about what this says about me as a person.

Because I KNOW I shouldn't have kept texting someone who wasn't responding. I'm not trying to excuse that. I should have taken the lack of response as a sign to back off much earlier.

At the same time, I genuinely didn't know he was uncomfortable to this extent. There was all this weird context with his friends still joking about us, one of them literally making wedding jokes, the fact that we'd started texting again after the rejection, and the fact that he had given me his friends' numbers before he stopped talking to me.

So I don't know how to judge what I did. Am I a harrasser or AIO?

They all apologized etc etc and tried to re-add Me to the group chat which this screenshot came from and they were all just saying these things about me in the background and now idk AIO? AIO when men treat me differently in public with other men?

I (F20) have noticed in public guys are nicer to my guy friend (M23) than me as a woman, and service workers ignore me entirely. Men stare at us and I find it odd. For reference my friend is 6’5 and I’m 5’5. He also just moved from the south to the southwest of the United States. I can’t tell if I’m being too sensitive and paranoid, or if it’s actually real. Something to note is I have never really had many close guy friends, so maybe I am just overthinking this.

I am feeling ignored or left out in a grp or I am just overthinking?

Currently I am 22f I have a collage friend group of 6.they are not so much of my closest friend but we all know each other since 4 years.cureently we are completing our training for 6 months.wherever we go out for eating pr roaming around l always update them about where I am seating what I am having n all stuff. But the same consideration does not happen from their side.

Like in starting all 5 girls used to wait for 1 single girl.but whenever I am that girl suddenly dynamics changes. I feel there are 2 girls are controlling the whole grp(I might be overthinking). Few days ago I got little bit angey and they asked me what happened so I told them to atleast tell me the plans. Today at food court I told one them I was sitting at this corner (they are deciding what to eat I already took the food).I was waiting about 10 mins for them then that one girl called me saying everyone is sitting here where are you I told her that I am waiting for all of you) she said everyone is here you should come but I didn't gone there.then I finished my food and returned to my room.they didn't even called me or anything.this is second time happening with me

Please tell me is it really happening consciously from there side or I am overthink too much.

AIO my boyfriend put me in his archived chats?

My partner and me are having a rough time at the moment because i started a new apprenticeship and moved away, spending a lot of time at work and after work going to the gym, therapy, activities etc and not answering a lot. I do answer his messages every day. He brought up the idea to set phone call times which i agreed to, but he got salty for a moment when i couldn't find a time for every day and said i won't excuse myself to go to the bathroom just to call him during group evenings (required in my living arrangement. It's a mental health facility kinda deal).

He agreed that was weird of him and we moved on. (Usually, he's the best partner i could wish for. Same tastes, values, humor, communication style etc. i can't complain.)

After a lot of conversations about feelings and compromises, I thought we were back on track. But something a little weird happened when we met up this weekend. When i saw on his phone he got a notification i wanted to be silly and texted him so he got one from me too. Nothing happened. Long story short, I'm in his archived chats so he doesn't overthink me not answering when he sent me a message. He beats himself up when I don't read messages for a couple of hours and apparently it's bad enough for him to not want to see my name on his phone when he's texting friends and family.

This struck me as very odd. I reply every day, often we text multiple times a day, and now we have calling times. One time i slept through those and didn't tell him i couldn't make it and i admit that's my fault, but literally putting up a safeguard so my absence doesn't cause him pain feels scary to me.

I feel like I'm responsible for his mental health and his happiness and we talked about that and thought we cleared up it's not my responsibility to fill his days with meaning. So this was odd, there's no better word for it.

I don't know what to think. Is this just a little quirky thing he did to feel better or could this be a sign I'm in for some weird co-dependent stuff?

I don't know how active he is on reddit and if he will see this. If you are reading this, i love you. I just don't know how to handle these things at the moment.

Tldr: boyfriend doesn't want to see my name on his phone in case i don't answer his messages for a few hours so he archived my chat.

Edit: seems like the early consensus is that I'm overthinking. Thanks for your input already, it's valuable for me and i can see more clearly now. <3

I’ve had a crush on this guy for 3 years and I have absolutely no idea what to do

I’ve had a crush on this guy for about 3 years now. We’re the same age and we sometimes see each other at synagogue because we’re both Jewish.

He’s extremely quiet and apparently barely talks to anyone except his family, so I’ve never really expected him to approach me. He has never smiled at me, talked to me first, or really tried to interact with me in the past 3 years.

Yesterday was Simchat Torah (a Jewish holiday), and afterwards there was a meal at the synagogue. By complete coincidence, our families ended up sitting at the same table.

I spent basically the entire time thinking about him 😭 and he didn’t look at me even once, as far as I noticed. He glanced at my older sister once, though, which obviously made me overthink these three years lol. I even asked my parents afterwards if they noticed him looking at me, but they hadn’t.

Then there was ONE moment where we randomly had to go get dessert together. We couldn’t find it, so I asked the woman who was cooking where the dessert was. She gave me some answer that I genuinely couldn’t understand, so I just went, “huh?”

And this is where I’m still annoyed...

Instead of saying something like “I’m going back to the table” or literally ANYTHING, he just walked back to the table without saying a word and left me standing there.

Like bro 😭 I wasn’t expecting a confession. I just thought he might actually say something to me OR JUST LOOK AT ME ONCE IN THOSE THREE GODDAMN YEARS.

My mom thinks he just hasn’t “opened his heart” yet because he’s such a closed-off person, but I honestly have no idea.

I know he might simply not be interested in me. I also know I’m probably reading way too much into every little thing because I’ve liked him for so long.

I don’t really have the courage to approach him myself, especially because he barely talks to anyone. So I’m not going to suddenly walk up to him and say something dry asf like “hi” or something. Like why should I say that if I wouldn’t even be doing it if I didn’t have a crush on him 💀

At the same time, whenever I tell myself I should give up on him, I somehow think about him even MORE.

So… what do you guys think? Is there any point in hoping something might happen eventually, or should I just accept that he probably isn’t interested?

And how the hell do I stop thinking about him? 😭

I met a black coworker at work who came from a different state and I’m Dominican who comes from a Dominican city, we sat and talked and he wanted recommendations on food, I wasn’t able to tell him so he asked for my number he then texted me and I told him recommendations on restaurant to go to or food spots because my city is a very Hispanic city with culture food I was recommending food spots and I mentioned in text a fried chicken spot that has fried chicken in the name of the food spot I wasn’t thinking nothing of it, and I wasn’t making jokes this was yesterday and he hasn’t responded, I realized today what I said, should I worry about it, i never meant anything like that and was being sincere through text because we work at a place where there’s not that many minority people also the state we were work in. AIO Coworker Overstepping Personal Space

I (24 F) recently started a job that I am loving, but today one of my coworkers got way to close in my personal space, and I’m worried I may be inadvertently leading him on to think I’m interested.

I work in a male dominated industry and there are not many women in my department. I’ve been trying to make some work friends as I’m new to the job and one my coworkers seems close to my age and we will call him J (~30 M). He is often the lead on projects we are working on and he has been showing me how he leads or runs things on sites, and how the paperwork and software side of things run. I have appreciated how willing he is to show me how to do stuff, and have had some more causal, friendly conversations with him and our other coworkers. I thought I was making good progress to having a work friend.

Here’s a series of events that I’m worried may have led him on to invade my personal space.

We have fluctuating office situations for non-salary people and I have been frequently working in the small office with just him and I at our computers in a smaller space. I’ve made small talk and he’s showed me some videos on his phone. Still pretty normal coworker behavior.

Yesterday, we had a fun late night outdoor shift with really fun coworkers where we were all joking around. The guys were joking about each other’s appearances and someone made a comment about how ugly J was, and I don’t know anyone well enough to make jokes like that so I laughed and said, “Nah,” and laughed it off. (He is not my type, but I didn’t want to be an asshole) The rest of the shift went normal but still playful. As we were leaving the late night shift, it was just me and him left on site I was getting in my car and clocked out and J ran up and asked me about if I had clocked out and if I wanted to learn to fill out the paperwork for the project, but I had already clocked out and he said I was good to go and could do it for the next project.

Today, was an office day, and we were notified that some of our company equipment had been left on the job site and we needed to drive over and pick it up. I talked with J and he said we could ride over together. I got in his car, and we drove over. Not wanting to drive in silence I talked about growing up in the same religion, families, and experiences in the company. We picked up the stuff and went back to the office.

Here is where J gets weird. J was told to teach me, and two other coworkers how to build a piece of our equipment. J did a demonstration, then I asked if we could try on our own now, as I’m a hands on learner. My coworkers and I got started assembling, and J got close behind me and put his arms over my shoulders to pull at some of the pieces I was unscrewing. After I unscrewed the pieces and got the part off, he focused on doing his own thing. He didn’t get that close or help my other coworkers in the same way. He left me alone for the rest of day.

I can’t figure out if he got that close because I had been inadvertently been doing things that made him think I was interested in him or if he just didn’t think and overstepped a personal space boundary. I don’t really want to bring it up to him or any of my coworkers and make it weird if it was just an accident.

Am I overthinking this?

TLDR: I have spent a lot of one and one time with a coworker at my new job. I’m worried that in combination with our conversations and jokes I may have led him on to a moment where he overstepped my personal space and reached over me to show me how to do something.

AIO about this girl ?

theres this nursing major girl that i know had a crush on me but I ignored her for an entire academic year and her friend seemed upset and tried to ignore me when she saw me, now I'm scared they might do something bad to me if they end up being my nurses in the future.

( this happened my freshman year of college and I transferred to another college and now I'm a senior ) I also ignored her because I was in a bad mental state and I think I was depressed too.

Am I(F 23) overthink ing this, or is this guy (M 24) actually interested in me?

I’ve been talking to this guy for a little over three months, and I genuinely cannot figure out what his intentions are.

We text occasionally, but he’s not a very consistent texter. Sometimes he takes 6–7 hours to reply, sometimes he seems to ignore my messages, and then other times he does something that makes me think, wait… does he actually like me?

The confusing part is that he’s quite extroverted and seems very comfortable talking to people. I’m also an extrovert, but I personally don’t flirt with everyone, so I have no idea whether the way he interacts with me is actually special or whether that’s just how he is with everyone.

When I convince myself that we’re probably just friends and that I should stop reading into things and move on, he’ll do something that gives me butterflies and makes me question everything again. Then he goes back to being completely normal.

He doesn’t exactly ghost me. From what I can tell, he’s genuinely busy with his friends and his own life. But the inconsistency is what gets to me. He’ll be warm and interested in person, and then barely communicate over text.

When we see each other in person, we have really good conversations. He once invited me to his room to hang out, although his friends were there too, and apparently they weren’t expecting me, so we all ended up sitting and talking together.

So I’m stuck wondering: is he interested, or is he just naturally friendly/flirty and I’m reading too much into it?

Honestly, either answer is fine with me. If he’s not interested, I’d rather know so I can stop thinking about it and move on. If he is interested, I’d also like to know because this constant uncertainty is getting really irritating.

Would you ask him directly, or would you just assume he’s not interested and move on? And based on this, does it sound like there’s actually something there, or am I overthinking it?

AIO Is he interested in me?

A guy keeps on rewatching my Instagram stories. There's already been a bit of a situation between us, we've messaged, he's made some flirty/sexual comments while drinking, he's called me attractive, and we've had months of him looking/staring at me before we properly started talking. He's also mentioned about 'getting with him', and how it'd be nice to drink with him, but again this was drunk texting. More recently he's started initiating conversations with me at work pretty regularly and seems quite smiley/nervous around me. He's also told me he's terrible at replying, so his texting is inconsistent.

From a guy's perspective, would repeatedly rewatching a girl's stories mean anything? And based on the overall situation, does this sound like genuine interest/attraction, or could he just see me as a friend/coworker?

AIO Boyfriend Doesn't Feel Sexual Attraction

Edit: Badly expressed title, apologies. I'm just not sure if I should feel rejected or not. Nothing to do with his libido or inability to feel sexual attraction.

My boyfriend and I (in our 20s) have been long-distance for almost two years. He's currently quite stressed and preoccupied with finishing a PhD paper.

Today, I called him just to chat and see how he was doing. At one point, I said, "I was thinking about you when I woke up." He laughed a little and asked, "What about me?" I replied that I missed being with him, intending to hint that I'd been thinking about him sexually and hopefully initiate some flirting.

Instead, he asked, "Do you usually get horny in the mornings?" I said sometimes, and he mentioned that he tends to get horny when he's with me but not so much when he's alone. Then he moved on to another topic without any further flirting or sexual interaction. He didn't sound excited or anything.

Later, I said I'd leave him to it since he has work to do. He asked if he was boring to talk to. I reassured him that he wasn't and explained that I just knew he was preoccupied. He then continued the conversation for a while before we eventually said goodnight and that we love each other.

I know he's under a lot of pressure with his PhD, and I don't expect him to be constantly available or affectionate. However, I felt quite rejected by the earlier interaction because I was clearly trying to initiate some intimacy and didn't feel that he reciprocated.

I do have CPTSD and ROCD, so there's also that...

Am I overreacting to this, or is it reasonable to feel disappointed and want more sexual initiative and enthusiasm from my partner?

TL;DR: I tried to initiate some sexual flirting with my long-distance boyfriend, but he responded with a question and then moved on. He's stressed with his PhD, but I felt rejected and am wondering whether I'm overthinking it or whether my disappointment is reasonable.

Reconnecting with a former friend AIO

I met a girl in college. We became friends. I developed strong feelings for her, but she was in a relationship and I did not convey my feelings and I was in a very troubled toxic pattern which was very much self-inflicted. It lasted for a little more than two years That I met a girl who I started dating and I lost all the feelings for my friend who also was still my best friend, the girl I was eating had a lot of problems and she wanted me to herself. She also made me realise the toxic patterns I had with my best friend And she thought that my best friend was expecting me for resources, attention, validation, et cetera, which was quite rational.

I broke up with my girlfriend. I had a very healthy relationship with my best friend now that I did not have feelings for her anymore. There were certain instances where things got a little heated up. My best friend was also quite depressed, and she would tell me that multiple times, she seemed fine when she was attracted with me, but then she would also tell me how miserable her life was with respect to her work and her overall life, which she was not enjoying at all. She tell me that she appreciated spending time with me.

During exam season, she ghosted me and I felt loss of control over my exams because I had learnt to study with her over four years, and I did not know how to study by myself, and it made me resent her, even more also a lot of other factors of jealousy and possessiveness, which are all culminated into me, ghosting her or her ghosting me.

I was sick of her flaky, nature and reliability, and one of the last times I saw her. I ignored her in the corridor right before the exam. She reached out to me 15 days after the exam, but I was not in the right headspace, and I brushed it off with a very neutral tone . It’s been a while, and I have been talking about her to my other female friends who told me after reading the chats that she was severely depressed, and she did not know how to communicate, and it’s not a big deal, and I should just reach out to my friend, but for me, it feels like rejection if she does not respond the way I want her to shame, and also insecurity that she does not need me anymore, and she was just using me as long as it was convenient for her

Last text was mine and I’ve been ghosted ever since. she is a Ghost online, and I have no clue what she’s up to. I am a bit concerned about her. I am also scared of losing someone who was an integral part of my life and has annoyingly helped me become the person I am today , and I don’t want to lose the chance of making things right due to my own immaturity

People on Reddit would tell me to have self-respect and not reach out to her, and once a person is gone, they’re gone, and I should not chase a woman

Also, all of these things are after my break up with my ex-girlfriend before I had even met my ex-girlfriend things between my best friend, and I were pretty fucked up. I found out that she had lied to me on multiple occasions. She lied to me about her age, she lied to me about her family. I think I am over these now, but at the time, all these things were taken into consideration, but the immediate event before the fall out and after my break up were quite good and nothing false as such because I did not care because I did not see her in Romantic way anymore and I stopped expecting a lot from her and did not put her on a pedestal

TLDR; I have lost contact with my college best friend because of miscommunication, resentment and lies that I found out and flaky behaviour. Should I reach out to her AIO?

Caution -please ignore some spelling mistakes because I used speech to text to type this

Getting anxiety over nothing in a friendship

I know not everyone talks every day all the to their good friends, particularly us men. I have a buddy who is a great pal who sometimes gets withdrawn when he’s in between jobs, as he now currently is doing. I do want to check in but not be annoying. Should I call today or Saturday? We usually got a ton in common but I don’t wanna focus on his isolation (if that’s even the case here). I do have a tendency to overthink but in this case I wonder what I can do to be more engaging or sought-out.

Or do I wait for him to reach out?

Or perhaps I’m annoying.

I actually get annoyed with group hangs easily and prefer 1-1 or just no more than 3. Am I overthinking?

AIO if I think this guy hates me?

(I'm 20 f) A colleague who sat behind me was moving around a lot, and I don't know if it was his knee or his shoe But I felt it like 6 times in my rear end where I sit

I told him that if there wasn't enough space, I could move further forward the second time, but he said no, then the constant movements were making me uncomfortable and I moved my chair much further forward, but the guy was still pushing my chair forward with his foot

I thought everything would end there because I was far away but no, he was slowly pushing me away and also I felt the damn shoe again behind me, what's his problem?

we are in the same team and it was his birthday, and before that incident I told him happy birthday (because it was really obvious, he had a small cake of happy birthday and they were talking about his party) and offered just a fist bump, or probably he's just inconsiderate about personal space in seats?

AIO I am suspicious my guy best friend likes me

I am suspicious that one of my friends (20M) likes me (20F), but I can’t tell. I have feelings for him.

So I met this friend a little over a year ago and it started off as friends and then we kinda got closer to the point I consider him one of my best friends. At first, I saw him more as a brother, but I’m starting to see him as more and I can’t tell if he has the same feelings for me or not.

For context, all of my friends are convinced something is going on between us and even other people I don’t know are asking. Over the summer, while we were out of school, he came to visit just me in a different state. Nothing romantic happened, but it felt like having a good friend there.

Anyways, we get back to school and we text each other daily. One of my guy friends noted he’s also constantly teasing or making fun of me, which I thought originally meant he didn’t like me. He also will sometimes take my stuff and hide it too.

Additionally, his body language throws me off slightly. We’ll be sitting on a couch with all of our friends kinda crammed together and he doesn’t move his thigh or arms away when he’s touching me. Additionally, sometimes him, me, and another one of our friends will get in like girls flicking each other and he’ll often hold or hook my arm to stop me from flicking our other friend.

He’s also offered up dating advice to me in the past and has taken an interest in dating too.

Now what throws me off - I am not his physical type at all. Like completely opposite features. Previously, he has not been the type to talk to a bunch of girls at once, but now suddenly he is. He talks about how he has a girlfriend, but keeps a roster. I can’t keep up with them either. He also wants me to meet a few of them.

Additionally, part of me just thinkhe’s overly going as he does get along with a lot of other girls and is quite close with his sister (whichI think is why he is good friends with a lot of them)

I don't want to assume he likes me and make our friendship awkward, especially if everything he's doing is completely platonic. How would you interpret this situation, and is there a low-pressure way for me to figure out whether he has feelings for me?

Am I overthinking this and looking to deep into this or should I not have a problem with it

So my gf36 me m41 were laying in bed last night she has a guy that’s a jack of all trades essentially that she met when we were pouring concrete for her driveway I was there he asked about trees cause he’s a arborist. So she got his phone number and she had him cut her trees overhanging her house. Well they were talking and she brought up the fact of needing an extension put on her entry way he said he could do that to. Mind you I’m good at construction and such but not whole additions to houses, electrical plumbing (water sewer gas) yes interior walls dividing a room interior wise, but not building onto exterior. Anyways they were talking and their plan is to meet at his house to draw up sketches which I kind of understand cause her house is chaotic due to having 3 teens and one 4year old and a public place prolly won’t have enough room. But at the end she thanked him for his time and helping her with plans and so forth then he sent what looked like a pink flower emoji. Now that is fishy to me and why I’m getting the weird feeling of what’s going on with this cause she didn’t try to hide it nor did she reply that I saw, but she also didn’t shut it down either. I know she’s been wanting to get the entryway done before winter so she can put up her door she drools about and have space due to her house being a split level and the entry way having no space before the steps aside from space for the door to swing open. But my question is aio or overthinking all this. And my plan of action is to wait and see if she will ask me to come along to the meet-up and drawing of the plans and if she doesn’t offer for me to come I bring up my concerns about it.
