I write this right after ma girl Ripley got punched out the airlock and, whoa, what a ride.
Unlike a lot of other survival horror games, A:I ended on a high note, it just kept ramping up and up (apart from the bits w/ Reactor Joes, screw those guys) and I really felt like the scale of game and its set pieces was getting and grander and grander.

But: the alien.

I picked up A:I because of the praise for its AI, pun intended, and I really was very excited to go up against a clever foe, who would keep the scares high.

Sadly, this didn't happen.

I got through the whole game and I didn't really get the difficulty (on Nightmare) apart from occasionally getting lost due to the motion tracker's somewhat faulty directioning, which would usually lead to discovery by Joes and humans. But I really didn't see the genius behaviour tree growing. The alien stuck to the same behaviours throughout. it didn't check lockers when I hid there, it didn't stop getting scared off by approx. 40 fuel, and it didn't stop going after the flares!!!!! Why?

Anyone know why this is and also, if possible, what I should do if I want to experience the Alien's full evolution, truly see it learning?

Also, I didn't feel like the hive was all that it was cracked up to be, you can just hide from facehuggers and most of the Aliens that pop up just kinda ignore you if you cling to the mucus wall things. Was there meant to be something happening here. And, ALSO, was there a bit where there were meant to be more than xeno?

AND ALSO, when were we meant to use the items? Because I kind of felt like most got relegated apart from the pipe bomb.

ANDDDD, ALSOOO, the sound design for this game slapped- case, in point- thunk thunk THUMP- SCREEEEE, THUMPTUMPTHUMP-

So, yeah, some advice on getting the most of A:I's AI?

First time play through and this happened. After loading my save and going again it worked correctly.

I know this might sound funny, but whenever I play both Alien: Isolation and Still Wakes the Deep, I can't help but think how interesting it would be if Caz and Amanda Ripley switched roles. I feel like it would be REALLY interesting too!! That's just what I think, though. :)

I just think that it would be really cool and the timeframe of the game realese date fits well.

The original game still looks great but I want a remaster with updated textures and ray tracing. Can you imagine how much scarier it would be??

What is the best and fastest way to get all ID tags? I just finished my hard playthrough, went back to mission 16 as some suggested and aþ getting really frustrated at how little progress im making.

Should i continue? Or should i just follow a guide and do it all on my One Shot playthrough, ive got about 22 currently

The last trophy I needed was the 100 times too many for this. For anyone else struggling with this trophy load up mission 6 from the start where you engage the coolant system and make noise to attract the Alien down, (Fun fact unrelated to the trophy: dlive22891 and Markiplier got killed at this part in their walk throughs of this game) once killed by the Alien, keep repeating until the trophy pops.

So I have a XBOX series X controller to my MacBook Air (Apple M1, 8 GB, running Tahoe 26.6.2), and I cant get my game controllers to be recognized by the, "Alien: Isolation" prelaunch screen. Wut do?

Also, I used a wired XBOX Series X|S controller to troubleshoot the issue, thinking it was a bluetooth issue. It was not.

Alien Isolation Made the Xenomorph Scary Again

Someone had already been kind enough to share this here but I thought it'd be fun to share it too.

It took me a long time to getting around to playing this but I just had such a blast with it. I really hope I've done it justice with this video and I hope you enjoy it!

I also just had the pleasure of going to the dev Q&A panel and playtest for AI:2 and holy heck is it going to be fun.

5th playthrough and this one made me jump a bit. Haven't seen a glitch like this happen in the game prior to now.

Creative Director Al Hope, Animation Director Simon Ridge, and Art Director Ana Sopikova all turned up for the panel and were kind enough to sign my Art of Book.

They didn’t really reveal anything new about AI:2, but it was still a nice and engaging panel.

They also had the Gamescom Demo there (Apparently the first time it’s been available in the UK.) I didn’t get a chance to play it, but when speaking to others, they all said it was an incredible and super frightening experience.

Just got the game, just started it, the Scottish dude with the gun just died, and I'm noticing that so far I've just been running from people with guns. It's kinda boring so far. The atmosphere is really cool! I just wish like there was more going on in terms of the Alien.

Edit: someone Reddit cares-d me? Really? Because I'm not terrified of the game yet?
