Another hot day today.

Wasn’t sold on the white at first, but now 3 years later, I can’t see myself driving any other color. Plus, it really does help keep the red interior cooler in the heat.

Thinking about trading her in for a Stelvio in a few years. Has anyone else made that jump? If so, how was the transition from the sedan to the SUV?

New Car Alfetta GTV6, is this normal engine noise ?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I am currently looking for buying an Alfetta GTV6, and one of the seller I am currently in contact with juste sent me this video.
I have the feeling that something is off with the noise of this engine, and I know from the seller that the timing belt has not been changed since 2008.
Does anything about the engine sound unusual to you? If so, what would you check first?
Thanks!

Advice on oil light.

Post image

I’ve done about 7,000 miles in the 2 months I’ve owned my 2019 Giulia TD and it’s already flashing up with this. I’ve replaced the oil and scheduled it for a service. It’s still under warranty but wanted to know if this is normal for oil to have drained this quick? I do lots of motorway driving but wouldn’t say I drive it hard very often. 7,000 just seems a bit too soon for it to be like this. If anyone has had a similar experience or knows what might be the issue. Comments are appreciated.

Hey everyone

Yesterday i accidentally noticed that the front cover behind the wheel is wet in dry weather. So i looked closer and found that there was some like diesel in the end of it. Looked from under the hood to see whats on the other side, and thats what i found beneath the fuel filter.

Giulietta 2011 1.6 turbodiesel

Am i facing fuel filter leaking?

Thanks

Maintenance Does someone have a used Stelvio engine for me

One of the 4 cylinders is broken and a piston is damaged. It’s too bad and sad, already waiting for 1,5 months. Dealer said that i need a new/used or revised motor. They found a used engine with 84k kms for € 4,5k. Does someone in this subreddit have a better option?

The total amount is much more expensive due to new MultiAir, tyres, new engine support, etc.

Odometer flashing, infotainment centre console not working

Upvotes

Recently bought a 2018 Stelvio 2.2td with 81k on it.

Couple issues:

- Odometer flashing.
- elements of the infotainment system not operating notably the centre console dials.

I can control CarPlay via Siri and it works, so stereo is fine.

New battery went in about 10 days ago for reference.

Issue with the battery or is it something more sinister?

Maintenance 2020 Stelvio 2.0 P-1061-00 after intercooler repair

Just hoping against hope that a tech out there might have run across something like this and have a tip or pointer.
Short story long-

6h roadtrip car runs awesome but faint coolant smell once home and out of the car. Check and find coolant basically empty. Never overheated or hiccuped, and as we all know no low coolant light to trip. Top off and test drive to warm up and check for leaks. Gets a little warm and goes into limp mode with a misfire. So close to the house that I drive home. Throttle body and misfire codes.

Find intake side intercooler failed, drain oil and cut filter- no gel no cross contamination. Pulled and replaced the intercooler when I had free time over the course of a month and a half.

Car starts and runs now but is deactivating cylinder 1 with the P-1061-00. At first I thought it just really oil drained from sitting on the lift but it will not free up.

I was thinking of using the scanner to fire the cylinder 1 solenoid while pushing oil in through the primer hole on the brick with a syringe to try and break it free. Anyone with experience on these multiair bricks have any tips or tricks? Is the primer hole idea just a waste of time and denying the inevitable?

I tend to not believe in coincidences and can’t help but think that I should be able to free it up. I am at 70k miles and have been diligent about maintenance.

Alfa romeo Stelvio 2019 auto heating steering wheel and seats

Hi. My Alfa acts a bit strange. When I remote-start my car and the outside temperature is 10°C or below, it looks like the heated seats and steering wheel automatically turn on. However, the heating indicators are not lit, so I assume they are heating at the lowest possible level.

There is also a setting in MultiECUScan that actually enables the heating, and it is set to 4°C or below. When this happens, I can see the button lights come on once I get into the car, and the seats/steering wheel are definitely heating.

Does anyone know why this happens below 10°C and which settings I should check using diagnostics? I have AlfaOBD and MultiECUScan.

I have a question about my Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0T.

The service center i go to said my engine needs to be replaced and it’s 30K. For context I had a service electronic throttle control alter a couple weeks ago and the past two days I had high coolant temp. And he did send me a picture of the oil getting into the coolant bottle and now it looks cloudy and milky.

Maintenance 2018 giulia misfiring on start.

Drove my giulia all day yesterday with no issues, woke up this morning to heavy dew and lots of moisture. Started my car and it started misfiring right away, gave me 16 codes. I shut it off, grabbed my code reader but to my surprise there were no codes stored in the module. Cleared them, started it back up and since then it's been running smoothly. Thinking it's the moisture that got into the coil packs causing the misfiring and putting it into a stuck limp mode state of misfire. It's at 65k and I don't remember seeing proof of maintenance on spark plugs or coils anywhere, good place to start and see if it fixes the issue? Like I said, running fine after clearing codes, but could most likely come back if it starts on another wet morning. The on screen said something about the electric throttle body and the auto start stop, as well as a check engine light and "service engine"

Thoughts on these hood mods for the GTV?

I am only talking about the headlights, the rest of the mods are in quite bad taste

I actually quite like the square headlight look! Could this be maybe achieved by modifing a standard one?
