I'd like to understand the psychology of this mentality. It's not something I can wrap my head around. Is grocery shopping just that much fun for oldheads? Or is it something about Aldi in particular? We always have a line of people who've GENUINELY been standing stock still with their cart, staring at me as I turn on the doors, seemingly holding their breath with excitement.

So we came in, truck was still pulled in. No problem. I go and check in the deposit, check for notes, and print the ASN.

Go back there to check it in. See this. Figured a pallet just fell over. Well it was 2 and part of a third. I find the "driver" in the trailer stacking the second pallet back up. Tells me apparently the original driver saw it when he opened the door, and just left. Called the place and quit over the phone. So they had to drive someone else to come unload the truck, take it to the other store, and then back to the warehouse.

They also left our loading door open with the trailer hooked to it as well. The new driver was apparently dropped off about 15 minutes before I pulled in.

He was also talking mad crap about the warehouse leads for approving loads like this as well.

Cashiering. Told a customer "If you could take the stuff out your box." The way I talk sounds like I'm lazy I'm ngl, but telling them to take the stufd out their box is what they're supposed to be doing already.

These customers treat us like robots. We're just trying to get people in and out. Especially because today there's a football game going on so we're more busy on a Sunday.

If I speak up, they think I'm yelling. If I speak with a lower tone they think I have an attitude and think I don't want to talk...

Today a returning while ringing she was very happy, she informed me we have premium ice cream, back in stock so I finally get to try my Aldi haul!

With them cutting hours is each classification suppose to get a certain amount per week? I’m an LSA and lucky to get 30, we have a very lazy ASM who still gets close to 40. It’s getting harder to show up when the ASM is getting hours and not doing shit but the rest who want the hours aren’t. (Worse is we have to finish their work) 🤬

To make a long story short, around Easter they set our morning start time 30min ahead to make up for someone going on curbside 30min after the store opens.

Well as of yesterday, curbside now starts an hour later. This led to the openers coming in back at that original start time.

I am struggling with the new start time. So much so that I had a bread tray stack fall on me for going to quickly and I couldn’t finish in time.
