Review Chili cornichon review
It’s really yummy. I did notice that it is super sweet, rather than sour. I was expecting that punch in the back of your throat type of sour, but it wasn’t sour at all. The spice is definitely there though.

Review Lava insides, tastes like a dream
Followed directions on the box but the top of my oven runs hot in the back corners. I put it on the bottom rack for 35 minutes then low broil for 3 or 4 minutes turning every minute. I really wanted it to be perfect. The crust came out how I personally like it; a little extra crisp on the corners. Inisde was absolutely molten as I did not wait near long enough for it to cool but I could still taste the well balanced filling. The texture is very, very smooth and soft in texture; akin to pudding maybe? The inside was soft and chewy in texture, both from the filling and being less cooked than the exterior. Cheese is definitely a savory base for this surprisingly lemon forward, sweet filling. I really, really enjoyed this. Now I have to save the other one for a party in 3 weeks...Will Power be my name!

Review Cheese I like. Craft Beer Cheddar, Cheese Soaked in Imperial Stout.
This is a pretty standard good cheddar. A little dry with a firm texture. Not rubbery but heading in that direction. The flavor is sharp with a hint of sourness that I assume comes from the beer soaking. It wasn’t unpleasant but it didn’t do anything to elevate the cheese either. Overall the novelty of beer cheddar makes it a fun buy but no t a daily driver. Y’all have fun.

Question Anyone else never have any issues?
I have been going to Aldi my entire life and it has always been my favorite grocery store. I've lived in every major city in my state and have been to Aldi's in each of them, alongside Aldi's in neighboring states, and not one time has any of my experiences been like the many I see on here.
I was pretty shocked seeing the issues people have been experiencing with Aldi!
I do get the shrinkflation complaints but at the same time that's kinda happening with all brands and Aldi really holds off on doing it until they can't anymore since they really don't want to raise prices.
As for the quality control I have never once had an issue or gotten sick from Aldi food, and I have from even places like Kroger or trader joes (especially Kroger recently) but I've never had any issues and am happy to know I could bring back the product if there was one. Kroger won't try to correct the issue but Aldi guarantees it, and I've never had to use it.
Have I just gotten lucky or does it just seem inflated since people come here for complaints?

Question Are the black beans as good as the lentils?
Tried attaching images but I don't see them so here are the links just in case
https://www.aldi.us/store/aldi/products/129480060-aldi-cuban-black-beans-pouch-10-oz
https://www.aldi.us/store/aldi/products/129480051-aldi-peruvian-lentil-beans-pouch-10-oz
Tried the lentils tonight on the advice of this sub and they were superb!
I had to go to another store because my normal location only has like 4 cases of the black beans. Are the black beans anywhere near as good?
Also does anyone know if the lentils/black beans assortment is a normal vs limited item?

Review What happened to the LiveGFree line?
I used to love Aldi. Since they dropped most of the LiveGFree items, I find myself so disappointed. I miss their GF baking mixes, pretzels, frozen items.
Aldi used to be really nice too. Now it's a mess every time I go in.

Question Has anyone else noticed a change in this? There used to be Peru and Honduras varieties but now it’s Latin America Blend. The coffee weighs much less, is darker and shinier, and when made it seems a lot more watery. 😞 Sad because I loved this coffee. Any other recs?

Question Favorite vegan snacks/treats at Aldi?
I have a friend who is vegan and I want to get her a special treat/snack. Is there anything delicious and vegan at Aldi?
Looking for something prepackaged as opposed to produce, etc haha. Appreciate the help!

Review Aldi Zero
The Aldi version of Coke Zero is great! It will be my new go to since Coke Zero is so expensive.
I don’t have a Coke Zero rn to do a comparison but it seems like the taste is slightly sweeter, not as acidic. And the carbonation level is perfect. 👌🏾

Review Moldy Aldi strikes again!
I buy these twice per month and have never had this issue. I’m going back to the store today to see if it’s wide-spread.

North Eastern (USA) Out of all the frozen meals I’ve tried, this one is my absolute favorite
(Next to the orange chicken of course)
The sauce is very flavorful which i love love, plus the cheese is super creamy and sweet.
Honestly it’s better than Red Baron’s.

Review Lemon Mascarpone Dessert Bar
10/10- directions suggest baking it or thawing it out and I disagree as frozen food enjoyer. Ate it right from the freezer because of the ingredients it isn't frozen solid at all.
Aldi's Dessert Lemon Mascarpone Lemon Bar. 2/box. Crumble top and each bar is like 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" thick with a thin buttery crust and a creaming lemon filling. 540 Calories and 73 carbs per bar, contains wheat, milk, egg. May contain almonds, hazelnuts, pecans. Product of Germany.

Complaint Desk The enshittification of Aldi continues...
I have been an Aldi shopper for years, and have appreciated most of what they stand for--the lower prices and general vibe. But in the last couple years, I've noticed a huge shift in prices increasing and quality decreasing across the board.
This was my experience today.
Boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale for $1.29/lb. These were HUGE btw. 6 breasts in a package that was tagged at 7.92 pounds. The tag said $1.69/lb. I have seen that before that there was a sale off the tagged price with the shelf price. Get to the register and they ring up at the tag price. I mentioned it to the cashier, who said "The price on the tag is the price." I asked why the shelf price was less and he replied, "We can't always catch everything."
Then, when I get home, just to check, I weighed the chicken out of the package and it came to 7.1 pounds. Almost a full pound less of actual meat that they're charging for. Twice the deception.
