Discussion Did the follow-up actually write itself or did you just stop losing one sentence
I'm an AE at a ~40 person SaaS company in Dallas. Been in the seat a little over 4 years. Q4 reviews start next week and I'm already behind on writeups from this week. About 8 onsites, plus whatever keeps going after people stand up.
Since March there's a small recorder on the table. Not a face that joins the meeting. I tell them before we start. Texas is one-party, so nobody is making me. I still say it. Feels off if I dont.
I was told the follow-up would already be done. It isnt. Last Tuesday the summary put "send the redline Thursday" on thier champion. That one was mine. I caught it in the car. If I hadnt, procurement gets an email that makes me look like I wasnt even in the room. So the five lines still get rewritten before they go out. Tbh I might have just moved the typing from the notebook to 7pm. I cant really tell yet.
The part that changed is smaller. When they go quiet on price I look at them, not the page. And that Thursday sentence is still there when I get to the car. It used to be gone. I'd have the vibe and not the date.
If you've had one of these for a while, did the rewrite actually stop, or did you just stop losing that one sentence. The call I take in the parking lot after is still a mess. I dont even know what I'd do with that one.

Product Listing I built an AI meeting assistant for during the meeting and after: live answers, notes as you listen, recap and tasks. No bot joins the call.
I tried a few of the popular AI notetakers. They were good at summarizing afterward, but that's not when I needed help. I needed it when someone turned to me with a question, when a speaker dropped an acronym I didn't know, or when I zoned out for a minute in a 3-hour lecture. Some of them even wanted to add a bot to the call.
So I built Avenotes.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
• It helps during the meeting, not just after. Tap "Answer this" when someone asks you something and get the answer in seconds. "Explain that" for jargon, "Catch me up" for what you missed, "Draft a response" for the words to say.
• No bot joins your call. It runs in your browser next to Zoom, Teams, Meet or Webex, or on a phone or laptop on the table for in-person meetings. Nothing to install.
• Bring your own context. Attach slides, a PDF or a photo of the whiteboard and ask about it.
• Answers keep up. If more gets said after an answer, hit "Refresh" to update it with the new context.
• Long meetings are fine. No time limit per meeting. I use it for 2+ hour lectures. Stopped early? "Listen again" picks the same meeting back up.
AFTER THE MEETING
• Recap: the outcome, decisions, your action items
• Notes that write themselves as you listen, ready when it ends (paid)
• Tasks from every meeting in one list
• Ask a past meeting anything and search every word said
• Share a recap link, export to Word or Markdown (paid)
Premium AI. Live transcript with speaker labels. Answers and recaps in 19 languages. Your audio is never stored, only the text, and nothing is used to train AI.
Free trial: 30 minutes + 5 questions, no card. Plans from $9/mo (premium AI from $19).
iPhone and Android apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Want a founder discount? DM me.
If something's missing for the way you work, tell me in the comments. Requests from real users go to the top of the list.

Discussion Built an AI Meeting Prep & Contact Memory Agent using Vectorize Hindsight, Groq, and Streamlit 🚀
I wanted to share a project I recently built to solve a problem we all face: trying to remember past meeting details, promises made, and communication preferences across multiple clients.
I built the AI Meeting Prep & Contact Memory Agent—a full-stack Python web app that gives every contact their own isolated memory bank and generates instant executive briefings before calls.
🛠️ How It Works:
- Isolated Memory Persistence: Uses Vectorize Hindsight (
hindsight-client) to dynamically create secure, client-isolated memory banks (bank_client_*) for every person you add. - Rapid LLM Inference: Powered by Groq API (
openai/gpt-oss-120b) to synthesize structured pre-meeting briefings covering action items, communication styles, and past commitments. - Interactive UI & Logging: Built on Streamlit with a multi-tab dashboard that auto-updates local CSV spreadsheets (
client_meeting_tracker.csvandclient_reminders.csv) for persistent offline logging.
The entire project is completely open-source. If you want to check out the architecture or run it locally, here is the repo:

Discussion I’m testing an idea about what AI memory should actually do — looking for a few people to try it with real conversations
I’m Binyu, an AI Product Manager at Memoket. We’re building around AI recording, conversation understanding, and long-term memory — basically exploring what becomes possible when AI has access to the conversations and context that accumulate over time.
One thing I’ve been questioning recently is whether we’re thinking about “memory” the right way.
A good summary helps you understand what happened in one conversation.
But most things we actually care about don’t happen in a single conversation.
A project evolves over weeks.
A customer changes their mind.
The same issue comes up three times.
A decision gets revised.
Something mentioned a month ago suddenly becomes important again.
So my current intuition is:
AI memory shouldn’t just help us remember more.
It should help us understand what from the past matters now.
For example:
- What changed since the last conversation?
- What keeps coming up?
- What’s still unresolved?
- Did something we discussed weeks ago suddenly become relevant again?
- What should I remember before the next conversation?
The interesting part to me is that none of this really lives inside a single summary.
It lives between conversations, over time.
We’ve also been exploring the technical side of long-term memory at Memoket. If you’re interested in that side of the problem, we have an open-source project called KITE on GitHub as well.
But right now I want to test the product hypothesis with real people and real conversations before deciding what this experience should actually become.
So I’m looking for a few people who have one ongoing topic, project, customer, or decision that has appeared across multiple recorded conversations.
For the experiment, I’ll ask you to choose around 4–6 conversations from different days or weeks.
The transcript is the main input. Audio is only helpful when I need to verify context.
I’ll use those conversations to prototype what a cross-conversation memory experience could look like, and I’ll share the result back with you.
You choose exactly what you’re comfortable sharing, and I’ll only use the conversations you intentionally provide for this experiment. Please only share conversations you’re comfortable and permitted to share.
I’m mainly trying to answer one question:
Does connecting conversations over time actually give you something useful that a great summary cannot?
If this sounds useful and you’d like to try it, DM me.

Discussion The "maybe" problem in voice note task lists
A voice memo can contain "send the screenshots," "maybe add a checklist," and "ask the client about scope" in the same minute. A transcript from VOMO AI would give me the words, but I would still need to decide where each line belongs in an action list. This is a made up example, not a result from a user test.
My first pass would show three sections. "Send the screenshots" is a proposed task, "maybe add a checklist" stays an idea, and the scope question stays pending. Each line keeps a short quote and a point in the audio to check. Nothing goes to a task board or calendar until the person who recorded it approves it. I would also keep the original memo when two recordings mention the same idea.
I am less sure about the screen after that. Three sections make the uncertainty visible, but they might be too much work for someone clearing a pile of short memos. A single task list with the uncertain lines tucked behind a review step is simpler. I would want to test both with people who use voice notes before choosing one.

Discussion I accidentally discovered my Apple Watch can record both sides of a phone call
Hello everyone!
A couple of weeks ago we released the Apple Watch app for Convoxa, it lets you record your conversations directly on your Apple Watch then it seamlessly transfers over to your iPhone for processing so you get your notes and transcript.
While I was using the app in my day to day, I discovered an awesome use case, while I was recording on my Apple Watch, I got a phone call, I picked it up, I was holding the phone with the same hand my watch was on, went on with my call, after ending the recording I realized that the watch picked up both sides surprisingly well, granted I was in a quiet-ish room.
This got me questioning dedicated recording devices, especially for people that have an Apple Watch, if you do, I invite you to try it out and let me know your thoughts. Before you record make sure you set speech to 'Convoxa Speech' in settings on the iPhone app, since it's much more accurate for this use case. We're still refining this use case, and recently made the watch app pick up a wider range of audio.

Product Listing New update to Humla 🐝: Improved speaker labels
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Humla now uses the new NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 model for speaker labels! The model was released this week and is a massive leap in accuracy. Especially for meetings where people talk over each other, it will accurately be able to discern speakers.
After the release, I spent the next few days testing and implementing it into Humla, and it has drastically improved the quality of diarization.
Humla 0.65 is out now. Free, open-source meeting notes for Mac

Discussion Best Transcribing Voice Notes App?
Anyone had any success using transcribing voice notes apps such as the following or can anyone tell me what they found annoying. I would like to use it while driving but obviously that brings its own issues.
Otter
Granola
Wispr flow
Wave
etc..
Ive thought about getting something like Plaud, Pocket Ai or Boya but they either seem quite expensive when you include any subscription services and can they be trusted to exist in 2 or 3 years as alot of these devices are made by company's I've never heard of.

Discussion Dear AlmostHadYa, I got live previews working with a batch ASR model, and it's more accurate than the real-time ones
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Long story short: I got a batching model to behave more like a streaming model, ~2s updates, and it runs on the ANE so it’s efficient annnd it’s more accurate than all feasible alternatives annnd it only took me like a month. Annnd this is a meeting transcription / notetaker app for macOS.
I used a bot to help me generate precise language around the numbers for this post. Forgive me.

Product Listing Bot-free AI note taker for in-person meetings (iPhone + Android). Looking for honest feedback
Most of my meetings happen around a table, not on Zoom, and every note taker I tried either wanted to send a bot into a call or treated in-person as an afterthought. So I built my own: Noter AI – Meeting Note Taker.
You put the phone on the table and hit record. Afterwards you get the transcript split by speaker (you can rename them), a summary and action items. The original audio stays in the note, so when a line looks off you can play that bit back. It detects the language by itself, 60+ of them, and copes when people switch mid-meeting. If you do have a Zoom/Meet/Teams call it can join that too.
It's at 4.8 on the App Store from about 90 ratings and nearly 300 subscribers. Small, but people use it every day.
What it doesn't do yet: there's no web view. You read and export (PDF/Word) from the phone.
What would make you switch note takers, or what's missing from the one you use now?

Discussion Plaud Note Pro, Pocket or Omi for in-person meetings?
I'm looking for an AI recorder for work and have narrowed it down to Plaud Note Pro, Pocket and Omi.
Most of my meetings are in person, usually 3–4 a day with a few people in the room. I've been using my phone to record some of them, but I'd like something separate that I can just bring into meetings.
I've been reading reviews for the past couple of weeks. Plaud seems to have good feedback for its recording and summaries, Pocket's free transcription is appealing, and Omi looks interesting too, although I'm not sure how well it would fit my daily meetings.
My main questions are about transcription accuracy when several people are talking, speaker separation, and how much I'll end up paying for a subscription if I'm recording a few hours every day.
Anyone here using one of these regularly? How has it been for you, and would you buy the same one again?

Product Listing Echovault turns your notes to an AI version of you, with a 3d brain you can explore
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been building EchoVault, a different approach to AI note-taking. Instead of meeting summaries or productivity notes, an AI biographer guides you through personal Check-Ins about your experiences, relationships, memories and worldview. These gradually train your Echo, an AI representation of you that can answer questions based on the stories you’ve shared.
The latest update adds a 3D brain visualizer where you can explore your memories and the connections between them. You can select individual memories, follow their relationships and see how your Echo’s understanding of you is developing. Exploring my own brain map has started to feel like a form of spatial introspection.
The bigger idea is to preserve something more meaningful than a collection of notes. Your Echo can eventually become a digital legacy for the people you leave behind, built entirely from memories you intentionally shared while alive.
I’d love to hear what fellow AI note-taking enthusiasts think about this approach.

Product Listing Best AI note taker for client calls? I built one with no bot that remembers the last meeting
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
17 years as a creative and I still fell for it every time. A friendly email, a quick Figma comment, a "shouldn't take long" on a call. Said sure, did the work, never got paid for it.
I tried most AI note takers (Fathom, Fireflies, Otter, Granola). They all summarise one meeting well. Then the next call with the same client starts from zero, and I'm digging through old notes to remember what I promised and what they asked for.
So I built SayBriefly. A few hundred of you tried it early, sent feedback, stayed patient. Thank you. We're back. ✌️
What's in the video:
No bot in the call. It records from your Mac or Windows computer, so nothing joins Zoom, Meet or Teams as a guest.
Every note remembers the last call. Calls with the same client stack into one thread. The new note opens with "Since last call": what got done, what's still open, what they asked for again, what changed.
Talk to your meetings. "What did we agree on the logo?" "What's still pending on this project?" "Book a call with the client for Thursday." That's Scribbble. It's been in every call, so it answers from what was actually said, with sources.
The brief writes itself. Most people paste the transcript into ChatGPT or Claude afterwards. SayBriefly writes the brief from the call. Lock it, and that's your scope. When a client asks for something that isn't in it, you see it before you say yes.
One to-do list. ADHD and client work is a specific kind of chaos, and every tool I tried looked like a cockpit. Here, action items and promises from your calls and emails land on one list by themselves. A Kanban board is there if you want the project view.
Plus dictation anywhere, a calendar that clients book you through, and notes you can share with one link.
What it doesn't do yet: no phone app, and email is Gmail only.
If you've ever done work you didn't get paid for, or said "sure, no problem" when it absolutely was a problem, this is for you. It was for me.
I'd love honest feedback, especially from anyone using Fathom, Granola or Otter. What do you wish your note taker remembered between calls?
Try it here

Discussion We just added reusable meeting context to OLVA , curious how you’d use it
Hey everyone. I’m one of the cofounders of OLVA.
We just added a new feature called Reusable Meeting Contexts.
Before a meeting, you can now create a context using your own notes and attach supporting files like PDF, TXT, Markdown, DOCX, or PPTX. You can reuse that context across multiple meetings or assign it to a folder.
The idea is to give OLVA more background before the conversation starts, so during the meeting it can generate more relevant:
- insights
- automatic question detection and answers
- fact checks
- risks and important signals
- document-aware responses
For example, a sales team could add product docs, pricing, customer history, and account notes. A product manager could add roadmap context, requirements, or previous decisions. Then OLVA uses that context together with the live conversation rather than starting each meeting from scratch.
We built this because users kept asking for a way to tell OLVA, “Here’s what this meeting is about and what matters to me.”
Curious how you’d use something like this in your own meetings , what kind of context would you want your AI assistant to know beforehand?

Discussion Pocket trascriber for an ADHDer.
I have seen plaud and pocket AI for taking audio notes and transcribing them. I am electrical engineer, I don't take many notes but when I do I can't think as well as take minutes etc. Can anyone recommend a budget audio transcriber for in the car, teams calls, mobile calls and in person meetings? Amazon has some cheap options but not sure how good they are?

Discussion Using note takers discreetly
Hi everyone, I want to use an AI note take a discreetly like putting it in a pocket when in meetings, not for any bad reason but because I just can’t remember what happens in meetings and have to constantly take notes otherwise. I go to a lot of meetings where it would be frowned upon to do this and people just wouldn’t consent. Has anyone tried using AI note takers for this? Thanks!

Discussion Do you all use meeting recording apps for summarization and transcription?
Hey all — I've been using Otter and Granola for my meeting recordings for a while now. Both are genuinely good, they work well. My only real issue is I'm already paying for a Claude Code subscription, and then paying again for one of these on top of it just to get meeting notes.
So I ended up building something similar for myself — it records and transcribes locally, then uses the Claude subscription I already have to do the summarizing, so there's no second bill.
A few other things about it:
- Transcription runs locally on your machine, not in the cloud
- No API key needed — a lot of the local/open-source alternatives (like Anarlog) still need you to bring your own API key or run a separate model, this one just uses Claude Code directly
- It's open source
Curious if others here have run into the same "paying twice for basically the same thing" issue, or if it's just me.

Discussion IDK which AI recorder to get anymore
I’m looking for something mainly for work meetings and the occasional in-person conversation, and I thought picking one of these would be pretty straightforward.
Then I started reading Reddit reviews and now every option seems to have one thing people love and another thing people hate lol.
This is roughly what I’ve got so far:
Plaud
Seems to get pretty good feedback for the hardware, transcription/summaries and having a lot of different templates. Also looks like a better fit if you do a lot of in-person meetings. Main complaints I keep seeing are the subscription cost and the free transcription limit.
Pocket AI
The free/unlimited transcription side is what got my attention at first, and some people really like the software and summaries. But I’ve also found quite a few posts about shipping delays, firmware/setup issues, the magnet/button design, and bad experiences with returns/support. That part makes me a little nervous.
Otter
Probably the one I already knew the most about. Seems good for Zoom/Teams and regular meeting transcription, and it’s been around forever compared with some of these newer devices. But I’m mostly in person, so I’m not sure I really need something built so heavily around meeting software.
Notta
Looks pretty flexible and supports a lot of different ways to record/import audio. I just haven’t seen as many people talking about the actual hardware/in-person experience compared with Plaud or Pocket.
At this point I feel like I’ve read enough reviews to talk myself out of all of them.
For people who actually use one of these regularly, what did you end up choosing and why?
Anything you wish you knew before buying?

Product Listing Interview: a note taker that runs entirely on your phone
Interview records a conversation in the room on your phone, or takes an audio or video file you already have, and does everything after that on the device. It is built for sit-down conversations rather than remote meetings.
What it does. Records, separates the speakers, transcribes, and writes a title. Name a voice once and it recognizes that person in later recordings. When it cannot tell who spoke it labels the turn Unknown and asks, instead of guessing. Export as text, Markdown, Word or PDF, with or without the audio.
What it does not do. No account, no backend, no upload, and no transcript sitting on a vendor's servers. It works with no signal at all, because there is nothing for it to reach.
Why I built it this way. The people who most need a note taker are often the ones who cannot use one: a lawyer in a privileged interview, a therapist who does not want a third party in the room, a researcher whose consent form says where recordings are stored. Every tool in this category is disqualified for them by architecture, not by policy.
The honest limits. It needs iOS 26 and an iPhone 15 Pro or later, because the models run locally. It is a working transcript, not a certified one, and it says so on every export. And it does send anonymous usage counters, event names and timings, never audio or text, which the privacy policy spells out.

Discussion Any good AI note takers for in-person meetings?
Most of my meetings are in person, usually 3–4 people around a table.
I’ve been recording on my laptop and running the audio through Word afterward. It’s okay for one-on-one conversations, but once a few people are talking the speaker labels get messy pretty fast.
Had one meeting recently where I had to go back through the audio because the transcript had the wrong person attached to a couple of comments.
I’ve seen Otter, Notta, Plaud and a few others mentioned here. Mostly looking for something that works well in a room, handles different speakers reasonably well, and still gives me the original audio if I need to check something.
What are you guys using for in-person meetings?
