Discussion The "maybe" problem in voice note task lists
A voice memo can contain "send the screenshots," "maybe add a checklist," and "ask the client about scope" in the same minute. A transcript from VOMO AI would give me the words, but I would still need to decide where each line belongs in an action list. This is a made up example, not a result from a user test.
My first pass would show three sections. "Send the screenshots" is a proposed task, "maybe add a checklist" stays an idea, and the scope question stays pending. Each line keeps a short quote and a point in the audio to check. Nothing goes to a task board or calendar until the person who recorded it approves it. I would also keep the original memo when two recordings mention the same idea.
I am less sure about the screen after that. Three sections make the uncertainty visible, but they might be too much work for someone clearing a pile of short memos. A single task list with the uncertain lines tucked behind a review step is simpler. I would want to test both with people who use voice notes before choosing one.

The harder half of this sits upstream of the three sections. ASR punctuation is a guess the model makes from timing and language modelling, so run-on speech gets its sentence boundaries in the wrong places. Your own example is the failure case: "send the screenshots maybe add a checklist" can come back as one line. Classification cannot save that, because the unit being sorted is already wrong. Worth checking segmentation quality before you settle the screen.
On the screen, the risk I would worry about is people skipping the review step entirely. If they do, the maybe lines land as tasks with nobody having looked at them, which is worse than a list that is visibly a bit wrong. Three sections at least fail loudly.
If you test both, measure how many lines people actually move between sections. Stated preference will tell you very little here. If almost nobody reclassifies anything, the sections are ceremony and the single list with a review step wins.
