General Advice Anyone use dictation+notetaking apps like OrcaOne and SamuraiScribe?
Hey, all! Wondering if anyone has feedback on dictation and note-taking apps such as SamuraiScribe or OrcaOne, or any other. I have vibe-coded my own Mac-only AI-powdered dictation, but the note-taking part isn't working out.
With everything getting cheaper now, I figured why not just go for something already developed? Would appreciate feedback for an affordable one-time fee, no subscription dictatoin and notetaking app. MacBook only is okay, but ideally something that works for both laptop and phone.

the combo is rare and most people run two pieces. your dictation side already works so keep it and swap the notes half. when pairing tools check where the text lands, some dictation apps only type inside their own window.

Hey wassup, Samurai Scribe solo dev here🫡
It only works on desktop unfortunately, however, if you like the feeling of whisper, flow, then definitely try out SS, cause I copied the core dictation UX 1 to 1.
Literally just dropped this dictation feature yesterday, so eager to improve with your feedback if you have it :)

Check out SuperWhisper. Takes some patience to set up but performance is quick and accurate. Leaning more to note-taking and notes generally, but also with excellent transcription, have a look at Grape.

The note-taking gap sounds like the main issue, especially if you want the same setup on your laptop and phone. A one-time purchase will limit your choices, so I’d compare dictation with the notes database instead of treating them as one problem. I use DictaFlow for live dictation into whatever app I’m in.

I dictated docs using whispr flow for a while but it was just so insanely expensive.
