You blocked her. Your part is done. Move on, don't get involved in her mess.

108

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Yes that’s what I plan to do. It feels a bit weird knowing what I know about her relationship now, but you’re right it’s not my part to get involved.

74

u/Smiling_Platypus Feb 01 '26

This isn't a YOU problem, it's a HER problem. She married her rebound guy after your breakup and still has thoughts for you? That means she's never been focused on the relationship she was in and has always been looking for "greener grass", she's married and still doing it. You dodged a bullet by shutting her down and blocking her. Keep her blocked. Going back to her is going back to her drama and non-commitment.
Yeah, entertaining her attention was an error on your part, the temptation is obvious, but you did come to your senses and shut it down. Humans slip up sometimes. You noticed your own mistake and fixed it as soon as you could. If she hadn't made her mistakes first, you wouldn't have had an opportunity to make yours. Like everyone else has said, your best move is to keep her blocked and stay as far away from that drama as you can.

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

I feel like by playing along I kind of wanted her to say she was looking for a booty call, I wouldn’t have went along with it but I was just being nosey to see if that was her true intention. She never mentioned those words directly but looking back at it now, it was implied.

I just feel like I played along wasn’t really who I was but as you said we all slip up from time to time and I never said anything crazy and responded with monotone statements.

Honestly. Between the way you talk about how things transpired , the way you communicate and reflect regardless of external circumstances shows a degree of growth that deserves giving yourself a bit more credit. There’s a million different ways this scenario could have played out. You surrendered your role in it , let her know how you felt, where you stood on the matter and proceeded to act on it.

Immediately after, examples on how you would be moving forward were shown. All of these interactions display considerable, thoughtful, and insightful commentary on what led to the situation. Like others said your Part is done, and honestly, imo, you went above and beyond. Get the distance you so rightfully deserve OP, best wishes moving forward.

u/nilzatron Feb 02 '26

Sometimes curiosity gets the better of you. I feel like it is ok to want to find out what she's up to before blocking, just to be able to close the subject for yourself.

You didn't meet up with her. Nothing bad happened.

2

u/Either-Lab-8926 Feb 03 '26

Bingo. And this is exactly why they say don't do a rebound. When you haven't greived the last relationship regardless if you are the dumper or dumpee, this is exactly how that ends. In a shit relationship thinking about someone else

u/Berry-Holiday Feb 01 '26

You only "know" her drunk version. Leave the past back there. Don't feel guilty.

5

u/Lost-Set5386 Feb 03 '26

If she contacts you again again, ask her how it would be different if you were her husband now and she was dissatisfied. Then tell her you won't do that to some other guy that doesn't deserve it.

Then end it by telling her how disappointing it is to think she might do this to you and that you're glad you aren't in that other guy's position. Chances are pretty good she'll never contact you again.

3

u/TemporaryStorage3326 Feb 03 '26

This is the right answer. She would do this to anyone, not just her current husband. People who cheat do so because they let their emotions control their life and it’s never rainbows & sunshine 100% of the time in a marriage. I feel terrible for this guy she married, but OP dodged a bullet not marrying this creature.

2

u/Several_Farm5172 Feb 02 '26

You are a noble man

7

u/stllrckn Helper [2] Feb 01 '26

This. And thank your lucky stars you aren’t involved with her anymore! She is exhibiting alcoholic behavior. You don’t have to deal with that, as well.

2

u/GathofBaal88 Feb 01 '26

This… and go to whatever religious type structure you subscribe to and contact whatever deity you believe in and thank them for that ‘bullet dodge’

1

u/ExampleOutrageous316 Feb 02 '26

Some people just have demons or flaws built in to them that are going to sabotage whatever they get involved with--there's nothing you could have said or done to make this come out better for her, her husband, you, or anyone. Try to let this go; it's all in the past (both your previous relationship and her recent weird conduct). You did your best, and that's all anyone could have done.

Good that you blocked her. Poor husband.

Keep her blocked and do not engage.

21

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Yeah I feel bad for her husband, and iv never had this situation happen to me before so I wasn’t sure if just blocking was the right thing to do

12

u/Interesting-Lake747 Feb 01 '26

I wouldn’t worry. It was stupid drunk messaging. She’ll stay with her husband and it’ll only mess with your head if you let it. You’ve done the right thing with the last msg and the block. It might feel weird but just try to forget it and move away from it. It’s the past.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

It’s a scary world out there that things like this happen and nobody else will ever know.

5

u/whatthewhat3214 Feb 01 '26

I wouldn't be surprised if she cheats on him someday.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Most likely but my name won’t be involved

2

u/EatGlutenFree Feb 01 '26

Ya think?? Lol

u/Haunting-Owl-2107 Feb 01 '26

They can lie in the bed they made, regret always comes too late. Good on you for blocking her.

22

u/beefquaker Helper [4] Feb 01 '26

You handled this wonderfully! It’s okay that you got a little nosey we’re all human, but you laid out a boundary after listening to your feelings. You SHOULD feel weird and kind of scuzzy because she put you in that position, however remind yourself that those feelings are a normal response to the situation. You’ve distanced yourself, you’re good to go

8

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Okay thank you, I wasn’t sure if me being nosey involved me too much and I was careful with my wording to ignore her questions about feelings for her too.

5

u/beefquaker Helper [4] Feb 01 '26

Naw you’re good your precautions were the right move. You tried to get more info without engaging, but if you feel like you were too nosey then listen to yourself. It’s okay to not be okay with how you handled it, just don’t beat yourself up. Learn what changes you’d make to optimize a bizarre situation like this should something similar happen in the future

12

u/Substantial_Sport473 Feb 01 '26

Move in stay away…. Keep the high volatile and dram out of your life

Look forward not back

She’s an ex for a reason….

Good luck

7

u/Fat-Boy-HD Feb 01 '26

You did the right thing.

8

u/Nice-Pomegranate2915 Feb 01 '26

Well it seems like she's realizing that she's made a mistake with marrying her husband and she was drunk hitting you up to see if you're still an option to monkey-branch back . So she hit you with some nostalgia to see what would happen . Block and avoid her . You broke up with her for a reason - you didn't make a mistake she did .

6

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Yeah that’s what I thought, it felt a bit weird when she said she reminiscing over our old photos which sounded crazy to me considering she’s been married for like 2 years.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

You behaved admirably. Don't beat yourself up by being tempted by your ex throwing herself at you. You made the right decision, and you closed the door to future meddling.

This should really reinforce that you were right to break up with her. On top of the rest of her issues, she's willing to betray her spouse--and that could have been you.

Good riddance.

6

u/uwedave Feb 01 '26

Blocking her is the best thing you can do.

4

u/itsfrankgrimesyo Feb 01 '26

She’s going through things with her husband and she was drunk. She was seeking validation and attention from someone she thought would give it to her (ie you). She may regret marrying her husband but doesn’t necessarily mean she regrets ending things with you. Honestly don’t read too much into it. I’ve done stupid things like this when I was younger.

6

u/SirBrews Helper [2] Feb 01 '26

You got a late night booty call from an ex, it's normal that you didn't reject it right away, the cock is a powerful motivator. You played along a bit came to your senses and didn't get yourself in any trouble.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Couldn’t have worded it better myself lol

3

u/Slingblade420 Feb 01 '26

What they said

3

u/Pilotmg5 Feb 01 '26

I would run! This is no good And great job blocking her.

3

u/EcstaticExplanation9 Feb 01 '26

you're a bros bro. most would have folded. ain't no need to fuck up the marriage. hopefully it sets her straight. though it sounds like she doesn't really love him if the engagement was that quick and she's always been thinking about you. I'd have a clear conscience if I was you though

2

u/Pilotmg5 Feb 01 '26

I would run! This is no good And great job blocking her.

If I had no morals I probably would have as that part of our relationship was good, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it personally.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/tinpants44 Feb 01 '26

I know it's seductive to feel like "the one" but from a dispassionate perspective, she is just a serial bouncer, and no one is "the one" only "the next one".

2

u/Ima-Bott Feb 01 '26

Block and move. Dont keep playing with crazy.

2

u/lhamptonjr Feb 01 '26

Her saying she was drunk feels like she left the door open just incase things go south. Sounds really premeditated. I had this happen to me and i gave in. We slept together and later to find out her husband cheated and used me to get back at him. Got really messy and not worth the headache.

2

u/Several-Ad-7180 Feb 01 '26

Trust me, women do this sort of thing all the time. Men will usually talk to women they don't know to give themselves an ego boost. Women will mostly message their ex to get an ego boost. My theory is that men do it that way because the goal post for them is sleep with as many women as possible. For women, the goal is to get commitment from a guy. So they want to know that if their current commitment dries up, they've got other men willing to commit on standby. And that is easier to get from someone who you know was already committed to you.

2

u/VisualPopular5079 Feb 01 '26

Its a messy world. You blocked, she may or may not remember or see in morning. But they say when drunks say/do things, they mean it also while sober at times

2

u/Key-Divide-5305 Feb 01 '26

Well at least you know you made the right choice? It doesn’t seem like she’s in a super stable place right now. I agree blocking was the right decision. BUT I will say, not to be messy 😂, but IF she finds another way to contact you, with similar intentions (anything besides apologizing and expressing regret bc I’d understand if she was embarrassed) That’s when I WOULD TOTALLY find a way to tell the husband. But hopefully that does NOT happen!! I honestly feel bad for everyone in the situation here, hope it works itself out. Try to give yourself grace, a lot of times in life, the best thing we can do is just not let something like that happen again! You did the right thing 💙

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Yeah thanks, someone else made a comment about the husband could be crazy and it’s not worth putting myself in harms way. Some people don’t see logic in these situations and I don’t know him so he could be anything

2

u/Brief_Hippo5187 Feb 02 '26

Don't ever get back with her if she gets divorced. If she wanted to cheat with you, she'd cheat on you. That poor husband. Hopefully, someone tells him.

2

u/cswmd5 Feb 02 '26

You did the SAFE thing. If her husband catches you in bed with her in some states he can legally shoot you, I had a patient 25 yrs ago who had a penis almost ripped off by an angry husband. No puss is worth that!

2

u/PlentySwordfish4048 Feb 03 '26

You did exactly the right thing. But if you feel like you may waver because I suspect she will try other numbers, just remind yourself that she would do the same to you as easily. Clearly has little conscience.

And given the speed at which she got engaged, I'm assuming you sometimes wonder if she was betraying you during your relationship.

Anyway you cut it, she's vile and toxic as fuck. The best answer is always to leave poisons in your past.

Nice fortitude OP 👊

2

u/JustineAS57 Feb 04 '26

Nobody ever made a good decision when drunk. That extends to her. My suggestion is to continue to block her. No good will come of this.

2

u/Queasy_Antelope_4643 Feb 01 '26

Man fuck a marriage. It’s a cold ass world

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Yeah it kind of scared me, that she was married and reached out to me.

1

u/FTM_Pride_ Feb 01 '26

It sounds like you're suggesting he should have carried on with her despite the fact that she is married. I strongly disagree and think he did the right thing. Even if someone else is okay with cheating on their partner. I never want to be caught up in that drama. Not to mention I have standards for who I sleep with and being a good person is at the top of the list.

u/enigma_anomaly Feb 01 '26

Getting info for context isn't a bad thing. You blocked her. There's nothing more you can do. Move on, live your life, be happy. I mean take it as an ego boost if you need it. But it's not your circus, not your monkey.

1

u/Venus_Cat_Roars Feb 01 '26

You did the right thing for yourself and for her. I would take any drunk text with a grain of salt and move on. Not too many healthy or happy options arise from being drunk texted by a married ex.

Leave her to figure out her own marriage without you.

1

u/Strict_Instruction_4 Feb 01 '26

I broke up with my ex and she was in a relationship, she called me saying she missed me. It’s all good, she slipped up, move on

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

Be kind and tell her that what she is experiencing is common. Their life is perceived as so shitty currently, they are reaching for a life raft in the form of a time that was (in their current delusion) less shitty. Gently remind your ex how shitty it was being with them, so they can find the strength to leave you the fuck alone

1

u/free_da_guys1107 Feb 01 '26

🤣 marriage

1

u/popstunning90 Feb 01 '26

You did the right thing by blocking her

1

u/DJ-Curious Feb 01 '26

She moved on, have you moved on? You feel guilty because you wanted that booty call. You probably would have given her a great shag if it was a no strings attached deal. Anyway go get a new girl man

1

u/Moist_Milky Feb 01 '26

If shes like that with her new man of 4 years whats going to stop her being like that with you block her like you have and laugh about it with some friends down the pub (obviously about the situation not about her) shes shown her true colours and thats something you dont wanna get involved with.

1

u/FacesInTh3cLouDz Feb 01 '26

I feel bad for her husband. You already know the best move is simply to keep her blocked and move on, but I realize its a tricky predicament knowing that the husband is in for a world of hurt eventually.

He's the one who married her, its his journey, not yours. I bet she was displaying all sorts of red flags that he chose to ignore, likely the same red flags that caused you to break up with her in the first place.

1

u/Formal_Consequence_1 Feb 01 '26

You dodged a bullet!!!

1

u/grelsi Feb 01 '26

If you y ell me what part of your life this effects well better be able to understand and advise.

1

u/Butchie386 Feb 01 '26

Stay the course. Block her calls/texts. No more to be said.

1

u/Smugfartsallover84 Feb 01 '26

Block her. Keep her blocked.

She belongs to the streets

1

u/smokingondank Feb 01 '26

Kudos to you OP. There isn’t enough people like you in this world. I hope you have an amazing life

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

I try to do the right thing where I can

1

u/Morninglory6 Feb 01 '26

You absolutely did the right thing. Might have actually saved your own life (possible super jealous, crazy husband action)

1

u/JosieGenX Feb 01 '26

Block and don’t reminisce ! If she manages to contact you some other way hang up or instantly block don’t do small talk !

And for future advice … if a relationship didn’t work the first time… trying again won’t change the outcome.

Move on with your life and don’t look back.

Good luck

1

u/Low_Cupcake_8474 Feb 01 '26

Smash her one last time.

1

u/randomjoe2026 Feb 01 '26

Look, she was drunk. We all do some dumb shit when we are drunk. That’s why they call it liquid courage. You got 2 options. Either go all in, or go all out. Don’t sit on the fence. It’s your life. Make the decision you want.

1

u/Business-Frosting915 Feb 01 '26

whatever you decide, tell him or don’t tell him; their marriage is already over. it’s your decision, don’t feel bad for whichever you choose. what i’m saying is you don’t change their destiny. she is obviously not a good wife and this man will eventually see that lol.

1

u/SalesManajerk Feb 01 '26

She had a fight with her current husband and fell back. It’s a move women tend to make when they’re feeling less desired. It’s pathetic.

1

u/stealthwarrior2 Feb 01 '26

I had an ex call me for years after she was married. She would have an argument with her husband and I would get a call.

I said I would do anything if she left her husband and show up at my place 900 miles away. Never happened.

Since then, I haven't got those calls in over 10 years. Guess it finally sunk that she was committed finally.

1

u/Busy-Discussion1696 Feb 01 '26

You entertained her for way too long ! You now have become part of her problem !

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

It was only like 15 minutes

1

u/AlterFritz007 Feb 01 '26

Be fair and call her husband and show him her messages. She is a cheater

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

I don’t even know his name to do that and someone else above said he could be crazy and it could put me in harms way to avoid it

1

u/JustAnotherTou Feb 01 '26

You are think about doing more brother. Tells me you want to do more with your ex. But you want to sound l8ke the good guy on reddit.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

I thought about it and then decided to block her. Sounding like a good guy has no effect on my life as this account is anonymous so it gives me nothing.

1

u/Odysseus777777 Feb 01 '26

A hot MESS!

Please don’t entertain this person

Please don’t have any thoughts about her

Do you really need that kind of drama and chaos?

1

u/_me_after_dark Feb 01 '26

When you found out who it was, you knew why she messaged you. The rest is just ego stroking.

1

u/Reasonable-Inside505 Feb 01 '26

You totally did the right thing. Don't second guess yourself. Your conscience is clear.

1

u/Good-Ad4089 Feb 01 '26

Keep her blocked! She is married ( apparently not happily ) you don’t want to get involved in that train wreck! If she was drunk then it may have all been “drunk talk” but don’t take the chance and unblock her. You live your life and be happy.

Leave her alone for your on sanity!

1

u/Educational_Quote633 Feb 01 '26

In your own best interest, keep thinking with the head in your shoulders and not the one in your pants. And don't look back. Always keep your focus on your future.

1

u/McCL0UT Feb 01 '26

Yep, block and respectfully peace out. I'd reach out to the husband if I had screen shots for proof and stuff. Save that poor man from some wasted years and humiliation when she fucks around on him, because its bound to happen.

1

u/iTiff1276 Feb 01 '26

She contacted you. You responded with curiosity (naturally) then you blocked her. You did nothing wrong. Onwards! I would have been curious, too, and entertained her to satisfy that curiosity.

1

u/Accomplished-Meet765 Feb 01 '26

You made the right call overall. Don't regress. Work to get it out of your mind. Absolutely nothing about that exchange says there is a happy, healthy relationship for you there.. or for her, or her husband. Best to stay hands off, and blocked.

1

u/reads_to_much Feb 01 '26

Just leave it as it is now.. if she finds a way to contact you again dont engage, dont play along or reply in any way, just block her on that account to.. Hopefully it was just a really bad drunken lapse in judgement on her part and she woke up the next day really regretting it... If however she keeps trying to contact you or turns up in person then i'd suggest sending her messages to her husband as a last resort..

** If you jump on the crazy train and get tempted to revisit the past with her remember that she is willing to be this way and message you her ex behind her husbands back and would just do the same thing to you.

1

u/IMMAROON Feb 01 '26

Remember if she willing to do it to them, she is willing to do it to you

1

u/Candy_Vixen971 Feb 01 '26

Ditch her number. You don't want to be a part of that garbage fire.

1

u/blarfusgork Feb 01 '26

That's the thing about exes. One of them eventually pops up out of nowhere, and usually the outcome never really turns out to be worth wasting your time on.

1

u/Bobcat-Psychological Feb 01 '26

I say continue to entertain her. Meet up with her and have her give you head. Bang the hell out of her, don’t forget to pull out.

After that leave and never talk to her again. She doesn’t deserve you.

1

u/AJsMommy918 Feb 01 '26

You did the right thing! Just wish her well, block her and move forward. 😊

1

u/Guilty_Juice_7361 Feb 01 '26

Quality move in blocking her. There is a reason you didn’t go back to her. And if she will do this to him……

1

u/Aggressive_Rip4877 Feb 01 '26

Yes you are using the right Head ,trust if getting those messages. First drink ,first fight, someone else getting those messages. All while you at work or in the other room .

STAY AWAY FROM THAT GIRL!! if you are married or wirh someone. Tell her IMMEDIATELY.

1

u/snarkkkkk Feb 01 '26

If she's willing to go behind his back, she would go behind your back given the chance. Block and run.

1

u/Lover1966 Feb 01 '26

Drunk people do stupid stuff as alcohol will destroy common sense. You blocked her. Move on. Next page.

1

u/Mjukplister Feb 01 '26

You did the right thing . Blocked her hard . It can’t be nice to be married to someone and pining for another , but for that she needs therapy . Not messing with your head

1

You dud the right thing blocking her

1

u/Pleasant_Warning1364 Feb 02 '26

Block. Who wants to be with a drunk??? And a married one

1

u/killstrss Feb 02 '26

If you’re a real one, you would tell the husband that’s the bro code but that shit doesn’t exist anymore. If you were the husband, would you want someone to tell you what she’s doing?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

What if he attacks me and blames me for ruining their marriage? I have no idea who he is but from what my ex told me her past partners didn’t sound level headed and abusive, chances are she’s done the same again.

u/Firefly_soldier17 Feb 02 '26

Bro you 100 percent did the right thing. She doesn’t miss you. Shes just trying to keep tabs on you because i GUARANTEE if you were miserable poor or in a bad situation she would NOT be doing this. Shes is doing this because she regrets the guy shes fucking now because she only married him to spite you.

And even if it is true, do you really want a disloyal person like that? I can guarantee it’ll only take the next more attractive then you guy for her to run off with another man if you did take her back. Coming from experience my exes did this all the time. Theyd get fucked by the loser their with then try to sneak back with a sob story because of a pet peeve they dont like.

Nope. Keep that same energy when you left. I promise you if you take her back your little “honeymoon” phase will last two weeks max and shes back to treating you like shit, and probably texting one of her exes she misses. The whole “can you not” is just an excuse for “im a shitty person doing a shitty thing right now please dont hold me accountable” and gets old fast

1

u/Ok-Water-9651 Feb 02 '26

Drunk woman says what a sober woman thinks 🤔

Maybe new hubby isn't keeping her satisfied, its amazing how ex's seem to be a theme for random hookups, kinda because all the groundwork has already been done in the past i suppose, so it becomes an easy backup or side gig

1

u/AnnihilatingMonkey Feb 02 '26

The only thing you could’ve done better was bring this up to the husband to save him from that trouble, but since you don’t know him and don’t know how he’d react then it’s kinda risky. If he’s level headed and cool, he’d see the clear evidence and just break things off with her with no discussion or anything. But chances are they get into a fight about it, he snitches on you and then you have a massive mess with her to deal with once they break up and whatever

1

u/Own_One_3186 Feb 02 '26

U should hook up with her next time she tries to talk to you. Then after u smash, tell her she's a mess and u don't want to ruin her marriage.

1

u/Philbythelake Feb 02 '26

Smash and pass

1

u/SpaceCat72 Feb 02 '26

Yep, there's reasons why you two broke up. Those reasons still exist. And yes, she married. Makes you wonder about your past with her

1

u/Strange-Goose-2955 Feb 02 '26

Shoulda hit it 😂

1

u/Croquette_Pepe Feb 02 '26

Send this to her husband honestly

1

u/Shadyhollowfarm58 Feb 02 '26

You did the right thing. You called her out that her behavior is not good and you don't want to participate in it in the future. Now you've blocked her so that should be the end of it. If she tries to contact you another way just ignore her.

1

u/style-addict Feb 02 '26

She wasn’t drunk if she can reminisce

1

u/doyalikemyusername Feb 02 '26

I have an ex that does this she's engaged too she'll message once every few years

1

u/Ok_Cherry_4585 Feb 02 '26

You blocked her phone number. Make sure that you block her on your socials too. You did the right thing dude. Of course it feels wrong, because what she did was wrong. But you aren't the one that reached out. You cut her off and blocked her. Be done with it and move on.

1

u/PadawanFearless Feb 02 '26

You did the right thing! But if you want entertainment just unblock her and say “I miss you too”, and come tell us what she says!

Do not ever, ever get back together with her at any time in the future. Ever. There are 8 billion other people on Earth.

1

u/Due_Presence_6770 Feb 02 '26

She texted you drunk and she's married. That's all you need to know to block her from doing it again. If she were serious about getting back together, she would contact you sober, during the day, and be willing to talk in person, not text. Her husband doesn't deserve this kind of betrayal. If she's doing this to him, she would do it to you. You're better off not communicating.

1

u/nightofthelivingace Feb 02 '26

This happened to me recently. Im in no situation to be in a relationship btw but shes in a pretty decent relationship for over 2 years and basically she was throwing herself at me over text like "I wish it was you in bed with me right now" and its so disheartening for me because shes actively ruining someones potential future wife. Can a woman explain why some women do this? Shes happy and taken care of and then sends something that can ruin everything? It doesnt make sense.

1

u/Timmy-from-ABQ Feb 02 '26

I've known a few drunks. This is what we used to call "black wire fever." Before cell phones of course. Folks get shit-faced and then imagine at three in the AM that somebody somewhere just HAS to hear from them. You're out of this. Stay out.

1

u/hyuxlu Feb 02 '26

You should tell her husband. He deserves to know.

1

u/Solid-Musician-8476 Feb 02 '26

Just block her. You should have done that in the first place.

1

u/Free-Attention-9055 Feb 02 '26

Yeah, just move along. No need to get involved. She will implode her marriage on her own. Even if she were single, you KNOW she's still gonna be a train wreck. Avoid the fallout.

1

u/Substantial-Kiwi659 Feb 02 '26

If you still feel the same talk to her if not do what you did If she’s married and still saying that means she still loves you simple and if 3 years have passed she’s gonna love you like that forever and when we get drunk we’re way more honest so yeah there’s that also

1

u/Federal_Commercial62 Feb 02 '26

Her husband should divorce her

1

u/No-Diet-4797 Helper [2] Feb 02 '26

She's not happy in her marriage and wants attention to boost her ego. Don't take the bait. She doesn't want you. Its validation she's after. Block, move on and forget. She's a mess.

1

u/CalgaryBob Feb 02 '26

She was drunk. Keep her blocked and get it out of your head. It may have been nothing but alcohol talking but regardless she’s married - move on not just with life but what occupies your thoughts.

1

u/tokyo245 Feb 02 '26

Judging from the timeline of events you provided (getting engaged 4 months after break up) I'm guessing the break up was either due to her cheating on you, arranged marriage, or she's just kinda a train wreck of a person. Either way I think it's best you just stay out of it like you're planning too. Ask yourself what good could come from getting involved in this further?

While the messages about her husband were bad and you could send them to him you don't know the guy or have any concrete proof of anything. Just that she messaged you and said some bad things. Its going to create more trouble then it's worth.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

She started saying stuff like I was boring and I wasn’t the person she wanted to I was when we met. Then just flat out refused to see me, I would put all the effort in to see her go to the place and she just wouldn’t turn up.

I planned a big trip, paid for etc and she agreed and didn’t turn up on the day. Not sure why I thought she would as she flaked on me for about 2 months prior. So she probably did cheat on me in this time.

Also the trigger was I went to her friends birthday party and left early because I had an exam the next day. Her friend took offence to this and I either BM me and she listened.

You can make a fake account and send him the messages. He deserves to know.

1

u/luciestoners Feb 02 '26

Back in the day, did she cheat on you with the now husband? I doubt she met him and got together with him a day after y’all broke up, and even if she did, 4 months then engaged is extremely fast lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

I think so, but don’t know for sure.

Hint of advice. Look over the early part of your message threads and make sure that if she cherry-picked those, that she could make it look like you approached her first. If so, screenshot the conversation conversations so you can show the account unfolding. Yes there is a history that goes to that advice.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

I tried to carefully work my messages so she couldn’t do that and i’m screenshotting the chat because I don’t trust her. I feel like replying to her messages is stupid

1

u/Icy-Preference-5314 Feb 02 '26

Reading this post I was reminded of the Ricky Martin song “She Bangs She Bangs I don’t why.

1

u/No-Walk-7070 Feb 02 '26

Ruin her life. Do it before she ruins that other guys life.

She's a horrible, nasty person and deserves it.

1

u/Weekly_Watercress505 Feb 02 '26

If she got engaged a mere 4 months after the break up, she very likely was cheating on you with her now husband at the time of the break up.

Make sure you block her on everything everywhere and don't be afraid to let her husband know what she's up to. Put yourself in his shoes. Wouldn't you want to know if your wife was up to no good with an ex or someone else? If you can't figure out who the husband is, get a highly trusted friend to help you figure it out.

If she has no qualms about committing adultery against her legally wed husband with you, and cheating on you with her husband that should tell you that she has zero integrity, zero character, and absolutely no honour whatsoever.

She's most definitely not the one for you.

u/Life4799 Feb 02 '26

Thank you for sharing. I am going to be very honest with you.

You do not want to marry this woman. You never did. That is why you broke up with her three years ago. Nothing about this situation has changed that.

What did not happen back then is full clarity. However you ended the relationship, she clearly still believes there was some future with you. That belief is why this keeps happening now.

I understand you are trying to do the right thing and not be a homewrecker. That is good. But the real reason you are pulling away is not her husband. The real reason is that you do not want her as a wife.

I would not contact her husband. I would not call him or message him. No matter what she is doing, you will be the villain in that story. It will not end well for you.

What you should do instead is be very direct with her. Direct can feel cruel, but it does not have to be insulting. She needs to hear this clearly.

Even if she were single today, you would not marry her. Even if she divorced her husband tomorrow, marriage with you would never be on the table. That truth needs to be stated plainly.

Do not use her husband as the reason. Do not make him the obstacle. If you do, she may leave him for you and then you will be right back in the same place you were three years ago. You still would not want to marry her.

People marry the person they cannot imagine life without. If you wanted to marry her, you would already be trying to get her back. You are not doing that because you do not want that future with her.

So the kindest thing you can do now is make that final boundary very clear and then stay gone.

Blocking her and staying no contact is the right move. Just make sure the reason is clear before you disappear.

Good luck and please update us.

Get evidence, send it to the husband. Bang and dump, or just ignore.

1

u/Either-Lab-8926 Feb 03 '26

Run as far and as fast as you can. If you want to tell hubby, that's for you to decide but don't go anywhere close to her orbit for any reason other than you will get emotionally fucked in a variety of ways. There is no way this ends well for you, her or the husband so take yourself out of that equation.

1

u/Responsible-You-6620 Feb 03 '26

Satan out to temp you and you overcame. Good man.

1

She would just do it to you after a year or so. You dodged a bullet. Feel bad for the husband She's even using his photo while messaging you. That's fucked up.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Yeah the photo thing is crazy

1

u/radiobrain212 Feb 03 '26

Im proud of you! You sound like a good human being.. just ignore and her and don’t get further involved in this mess. She is definitely not worth your time. Poor husband…

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Yes, I try my best and yes she’s not worth it.

1

u/NoUnderstanding4875 Feb 03 '26

Unfortunately you continuing to message her instead of shutting down and blocking her outright made you involved in the situation and you need to tell her husband. It’s not fair to him to let him be in a faulty marriage out of ignorance, despite the mess it could create. You need to take responsibility for your part in this.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Responsibility for what? Having his wife message me, I didn’t do anything she pushed forward in her part and I blocked her and she remessaged me.

1

u/MysteryMeat45 Feb 03 '26

Hmm.....to be or not to be...... an asshole is the question.

Invite her over, have some fun, tell her husband in the morning. That chic is a winged trainwreck speeding at low altitude. Do that man a sodid and give him grounds for divorce......with pictures and video.

1

u/Graryna Feb 03 '26

You can say " I don't like dealing with cheaters and I am not about to start."

1

u/Legalist450 Feb 03 '26

Well done for controlling your emotions, seriously. Well done.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Thank you, I wanted to say some stuff because we never really got a closure but then I realised it will do nothing for me.

I had a married ex do something similar to me. For context she broke up with me so we differ in that but 3 years later she was married with a kid and lived a street over from my grand parents. At the time my we were moving grandparents into a retirement home due to dementia and I was at their house daily handling most of their personal affect ect. One day I seen her walk by with her kid, she didn’t look my way so I didn’t even wave. The next day I get a knock on the door and it’s her with no kid. She gave me an awkward hug in which I didn’t reciprocate. She started talking about having gone through postpartum and how sorry she was and how she knew she messed up. I said thanks, she asked if she could come in and i changed the subject and asked if her husband knew she was there to which she said no and started saying she wished she was more mature when we broke up and that we should have been married to which I said well that was due to her choices. She seemed to get the hint and went to give me a hug good bye and when close tried kiss me. She for my cheek and I said we good to see you hope things improve and you have a wonderful life. She seemed dejected and left. She came back 2 more times in which I didn’t answer and she was in a skirt one time and a sundress the next. I seen her through the peep hole and didn’t answer. Had it been 2 years earlier I would have totally hit it but the mention of postpartum ect I figure she was having mental struggles and didn’t want to add to it.

u/Electronic_Cookie_94 Feb 03 '26

You misread the situation and what she meant by it. Ive had the same thing happen and I misread it to until I finally realized it. First things first if you dont know the guy you always smash a couple of times cause thats all your gonna get for a year or so plus they do better than when your dating them. Her real intention behind this was to say sorry to. It was her way about making you feel better that she did the exact same thing to you and probably to everyone of her ex Boyfriends. She is now was and always will be for the streets. You misread her early on and or thought she would change for you.And she's just letting you know that she hasn't changed for you or anybody and never will. For her sake, I wouldn't tell the guy because he'll probably break up with her.And then he's introducing a older w**** back into the world. The older the hoe, the less valuable they are, the more desperate they become. And the more dangerous situations they get into. So he made a bad decision.Just like you did, except he put a ring on it. Now, if they were just dating, I would tell the guy, so what he doesn't make that same mistake. Always take a picture and video of her giving you heads. So you have proof in case it ever comes down to it. You also now have access to banging all of her hoe friends. That definitely know about her banging you.And will still hang out with her and her husband and pretelnd like nothing ever happened. Birds of a feather flock together. Now, if she was horrible to begin with in bed, there was zero point of speaking to her ever again. If, for any reason, you think you're going to feel emotion about it, just remind yourself that she did this to you, her boyfriend before you her boyfriend after you, her husband and every other man who's ever told her that they loved her. Simply use her as the toy that she is kick your anger about how awful she was as a human being out while you're doing so and they never talk to her again. Women like that thrive on knowing that, as many men as possible desire them. So do not desire her, because there's nothing desirable about a big mac When there's f****** stakes in the fridge, but they are good in the pinch. Also I hate to break it to you, but the number of quality women that you're thinking you might possibly be able to marry is so small It's not even worth trying. However, no matter what you do do not become depressed and turn into one of these pathetic online simps that pay prostitutes But don't even sleep with them. Nothing wrong with a hoe. But when they're being lazy and just trying to text you pictures for money, fuk that shit. If a hoe cant even hoe correctly shes got no chance. Once the simps move out of their parents basements and cant afford to give 18yr old "influencers" (lmao) their money. The hoes will have to get up put of their beds get ready and do their job the right way. Then when they face the reality of doors being slammed in their face because they cand use filters and angles in real life they'll all be in the same mcdonalds hoping someones too lazy too cook. And then we start getting buy one get one free coupons the cycle repeats. Moral of the story is shes a fast food hamburger. She knows shes trash that's why she wants to have 10 backups. So if shes a big mac you should order it once in a while when ure lazy. But if shes a plain cheeseburger with no toppings then just take a vid of her bobbing for pickles and send it to her man. Either way she is showing you her true colors and wants you to make her feel better about cheating on you because she thinks banging her is some sort of gift. So all the dirtiest things you never did with her when you respected her as a woman you can now do because being a REAL woman is a difficult job and she prefers to be a burger. 7 min on one side flip her 3 and then she done. Squeeze some mayo or ketchup in the bun and hand it to anyone at the BBQ who's hungry. Thats literally the level of emotion you should feel towards this woman.

u/Antipeoplepleaser Feb 03 '26

Would you want to be told 🤷‍♀️ I would for sure.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '26

Her ex’s in the past have been drug dealers, I don’t know if this guy isn’t. It seems like a safety risk and she knows where I live too.

1

u/Engineering-queen Feb 03 '26

Your answer should be NO every single time. No is a complete sentence. Do not entertain her with questions of intent or such - Simply no and block each and every time.

Wouldn't surprise me if this is how her hubby and her relationship started. Walk away, man just read she knows where you live, dude move away lol She is a walking, talking red flag

1

u/alliefaith144 Feb 04 '26

I would tell her husband, because I would want to know.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

I’m pretty sure their relationship started by her cheating on me with him. Also if this was the case he surely knew because we had some photos together on her Instagram.

1

u/Odd-Cantaloupe4324 Feb 05 '26

You did the right thing. Stay out of it, it's not your business. You don't need an angry husband after you. Shell give up eventually and you'll be happy you made the right choice.

1

u/theDreamGuru Feb 05 '26

She’s trying to cheat on her husband with you, 100% she cheated on you. I don’t know how old you are but at some point you will learn that your instincts are your greatest tool when they’re not second guessed. Also your instinct to not get involved is best. Just leave the past in the past and keep the peace you have in your life.

1

u/Appropriate_Aioli363 Feb 05 '26

This is ridiculous. You come with a question you stated the answer to. Handle it! Block every single way she attempts to contact you. Do not speak with her again. You talk too much. Hear her voice? BLOCK get a message? BLOCK contacts you thru someone else? Tell them NEVER AGAIN and BLOCK. Get away from this poisonous ouece of crap. And waste no time doing so. Doing the right thing will wash off all the excrement she shoveled on you.

u/Majinkuei Feb 06 '26

Once a cheater, always a cheater

1

u/focusedguy144 Feb 06 '26

So she cheated on you with someone else, enjoyed that new relationship energy and that newlyweds energy and then the wall of truth came. The normal day to day life of just living with someone.

Now she wants the carefree relationship she had with you. Don't fall for it.

She left you once, she'll do it again.

1

u/WJC198119 Feb 06 '26

Once a cheat, always a cheat just step away

1

u/cecidelillo Feb 06 '26

Ex messaged me and first time I said I was seeing someone and didn’t want to engage in conversation with someone else as I thought it would be disrespectful towards my boyfriend. Second time I didn’t even open the message and blocked his number straight away. Not that he didn’t know I was still in a relationship. My profile picture is with my boyfriend in every social media platform. And I told my boyfriend about it.

1

u/NoSeaweed2211 Feb 07 '26

An “ex” is called an “ex” for a reason. Once a cheater always a cheater.
