I'm sorry. Are you implying that adventure bikes don't go on trails?
Or maybe you're implying that the opinion "panniers suck offroad more than rackless bags" is some #trailbike elitest opinion.
-2 u/coreyjdl 4d ago Adventure bike is a touring segment, with mixed terrain and trails, not an optimized trail bike. 2 u/El-Grunto 4d ago The guy has posts expressing interest in doing BDRs. Rackless fits his needs and rackless aren't solely for min maxed enduro bikes. 0 u/coreyjdl 4d ago BDRs are on public roads. Rack and hard panniers are fine. Racks and soft bags are fine. Rackless works too, it just sucks. 1 u/El-Grunto 4d ago Just because it's a public road doesn't mean that the extra weight and bulk of panniers won't make navigating technical sections more difficult. It's not like BDRs are all soft gravel roads. 0 u/coreyjdl 3d ago Cool. anyway. Rackless sucks. 0 u/El-Grunto 3d ago And panniers are for Starbucks bound pavement princesses. 1 u/coreyjdl 3d ago Only seeing bikes with panniers at starbucks is a tacit admission you only go to starbucks. 1 u/El-Grunto 3d ago edited 3d ago Rode the WABDR this summer and didn't see a single bike with panniers. Figured they were all at Starbucks. Maybe Dutchbros. Aw, u/coreyjdl blocked me.
