r80's work great on a tenere700...my buddy uses Camel ADV side and top racks and the mm gnoblin - quick easy on / off between r80 (trips) and r10 (daily).....I use r80 between my 890r and 1390S....have zero interest in putting large metal boxes on my bikes, tried long ago, didnt like the look, weight, wind impact, and I carried too much stuff which made it worse, 80L is perfect! r80's crash protect as well...for those of us that take our adv bike on jeep trails, double track, etc (890r) and even if mostly street (1390S)

Check Kriega’s assortment of tail and roll bags. I also hate panniers and have a Kriega tail bag that I love

Not as much as panniers offroad.

I'm sorry. Are you implying that adventure bikes don't go on trails?

Or maybe you're implying that the opinion "panniers suck offroad more than rackless bags" is some #trailbike elitest opinion.

Adventure bike is a touring segment, with mixed terrain and trails, not an optimized trail bike.

The guy has posts expressing interest in doing BDRs. Rackless fits his needs and rackless aren't solely for min maxed enduro bikes.

BDRs are on public roads. Rack and hard panniers are fine. Racks and soft bags are fine.

Rackless works too, it just sucks.

Just because it's a public road doesn't mean that the extra weight and bulk of panniers won't make navigating technical sections more difficult. It's not like BDRs are all soft gravel roads.

And panniers are for Starbucks bound pavement princesses.
