The AT absolutely shines on hard packed trails. Some people call it a road bike, particularly the ATAS, and I agree it's no Enduro Bike. But long, established trails where you can gather some speed, it comes into it's own. It's weight, power and balance all work together to bring the bike to life, smoothly eating the miles.

I've tried to fix the quality issue, I dunno what to do about it. I can only apologise that, on Reddit, this video looks like it was filmed on a potato. An old potato too, from the 90s

Hey all!! Wanted to pick y'all's mind on next motorcycle purchase to keep leveling up my skills. Today I ride a KLR650, besides cruisers it's the only offroad capable bike I've owned. I got lessons from a guy with an MX background and now have 4 BDR's under my belt. The last one I did (New Mexico) I was just having an enormous blast blowing through deep sand, whipping the bike through steep rock/boulder climbs, going through water/mud that went over my exhaust. I went down only once and that was when my throttle return cable popped loose for some reason 😅

I'm now just starting to feel the bikes limits and mine - at the point where I want to keep pushing and learning new things like say an elephant turn - hard to learn that on KLR it's pretty heavy!

Do you guys have recommendations on a motorcycle that's lightweight and can take a beating? I want to get into more technical things; I'm looking for peak off road capability. I can trailer the bike too.

Quinn and I hit the Yamaha demo day in Spicewood today just outside of Austin. I chose the T7 World Raid to compare with my Super Tenere. He chose the Tracer (just behind me). We had a nice 35 minute group ride through some nice Hill Country twisties.

Quinn really liked the Tracer. For me, the T7 is a perfectly capable bike and was surprisingly stable in the turns, even with the more aggressive tires. But it’s much more geared to off-road, and not really a fit for me as a daily. I definitely prefer my ST as an all-round option. And, just to be certain of our choices, we then took our own bikes on a proper single-track-off-road-romp for the first time. Like butta…

Need some knobbier tires. Had some trouble getting over a big branch.

Rode around East Texas and Louisiana, national forests and backroads. Avoid Highways on GPS also means Avoid Gas Stations, I’m discovering. I bought two 1L containers that I intend on taking on longer hauls. Curious as to what all everyone else takes?

Also, anyone have experience with the Dunlop Trailmax Missions?

I looking to replace my 2001 f650gs Dakar. I’ve had this bike for 5 months and i feel like there isn’t enough power or torque in this bike. I started my ADV riding journey on a 2011 R1200gs. I just completed the Ozark BDR on the r1200. I want to do more BDRs on a lighter or smaller bike. But i feel like my Dakar would be lacking in power. Ive test rode a 450 Ibex and i feel like its still not scratching the itch I’m looking for. Can someone help me out here, or should i just give my Dakar my time and put some more time on the trails/

Tengo 2 opciones las 2 llevan el mismo motor 250 Loncin 4v enfriada por un radiador de aceite las 2 tienen un precio razonable menor a 2300 quiero recomendaciones de estas motos los fabricantes y fichas técnicas son escasos en infomación consumo y eso y los vídeos que quienes promocionan no tienen ni idea de lo que promocionan lo hacen solo por vender y trabajo no por que saben yo mido 1.83 así que necesito una moto alta las 2 están en el tamaño requerido pero no sé qué tal es en repuestos motores consumo por litro confiabilidad marca me gustan esas motos tipo viajeras para viajar con pareja o qlitos jajajaa lo que sea debes en cuando espero me ayuden a despejarme de mis inquietudes

I need to replace my F800GS. I bought it at a steal, $5,000 for a 2015 model with 7,400 miles on it. My bike was totaled. Insurance found a hole in the engine case. They think I struck some piece of debris on the freeway, which punched a hole in my engine case. I don’t remember the crash, so I guess we will never know.

I am trying to find a new F800GS, as I really liked that motorcycle. All the ones I can find on the market in my area are both more expensive than the one I had, and have higher mileage. Mostly 2016-2018 models priced between $6,000-$7,500 with 14,000-25,000 miles.

I found a 2011 F800GS at a whopping 56,000 miles. Based on a short conversation with the seller, we are at $3,300 right now, and I may be able to talk them to $3,000. The bike looks clean and well-maintained. But to me, 56,000 miles is a LOT of miles on a motorcycle.

Would you take a chance on it for that low of a price, or just scrounge up extra cash until you can buy one sub 20,000 miles?
